PKI Jizzman Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Hey guys! Though I was hoping to go back down to Gatlinburg and hit up Dollywood again, my parents decided to visit my Uncle in Chicago! The problem was that we didn't have much to do on a Friday or Saturday. So I asked my uncle whats near and if there are any parks an he mensioned SFGA! So I looked it up on google satelite and it's not far at all! So if I give my parents enough reason to go to the park, we're good! The only SF park I have been to is SFKK when I was 9....so I dont really remember much. I know SFGA has Raging Bull, DejaVu, Superman? and Viper. What will the crowd be like on a Fri/Sat? Will the lines be really bad? What is a MUST ride, and how would the prices go for 3 Adults and 2 kids? I'd love your guy's advice on the park and a complete run down the thrill rides and coasters, it would be awesome! Thanks in advanced, James
SonOfBeastSucks Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Ever since the water park has opened at SFGAm, it has been very popular. In my experiences, the water park has always been packed, with the lines in the ride park being an average of 20-30 minutes, usually less than an hour for popular coasters (RB, Superman, etc) which isn't bad for a weekend. So if you go during a month that the water park is open, then you should be fine. If the question mark means you don't know what Superman is, it is a B&M flyer. Pricing info/etc can be found at the SF website. Have fun! www.sixflags.com Edit: Forgot to mention...discounts are usually avalible on Coke product cans in the vicinity of that park, so ask your uncle to store away a few when they come out. I think they usually provide like a $10 discount.
coastermaniac123 Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 Well you definitely must hit Raging Bull and Viper. Both are amazing. Then I would say hit Deja-Vu before it breaks down and Supermans: Ultimate Flight. Nothing is great about those two but the line can build and that just sucks. Then you can hit up Vertical Velocity, American Eagle, Whizzer, Demon, Batman: The Ride, and Rajin' Cajun. You shouldn't have to long of a line except the fact that Deja-Vu, Superman: Ultimate Flight, and sometimes Vertical Velocity can stack up. Raging Bull uses two to three trains so the line should move very quickly. Hope that helps you!
PKI Jizzman Posted February 23, 2007 Author Posted February 23, 2007 Oh yea, QBot....is that kinda like a fast pass on a computer? And isn't it like 50 bucks?
mcjaco Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 First, what dates are you coming? That will make a difference on crowd levels. Second, when you come, make a left through Orleans Square and get in line for Superman. It's line is usually the longest, or on par with Raging Bull. I tend to work the park clockwise from there, hitting Ragin Cajun, V2, Batman, Iron Wolf, American Eagle, Raging Bull, Viper, Demon, Vu and finally Whizzer. You can get in those first four coasters in close to an hour if you go that way, as most of the crowd tends to head through Hometown Square.
SonOfBeastSucks Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 Sunday, May 5. 10A-8P. You can find answers to questions like that on the park's website.
PKI Jizzman Posted February 23, 2007 Author Posted February 23, 2007 Oh no.....we will be in Chicago before that date Well damn....there is always hope for the summer. Crap I feel stupid.
SonOfBeastSucks Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 Yeah...SFGAm opens later than most, if not all, parks.
