Season Passes for Six Flags and Cedar Fair

Hi there,

 

I am looking at getting a Six Flags season pass as well as a Cedar Fair Maxx pass for my holiday to the states this year. The websites are great but dont answer these two questions,

 

- Can international visitors get Season Passes?

- If so, what are the steps i would take to get them once at the park and how long does it take to process them?

 

My first Six Flags park will be SF New England and my first Cedar Fair Park will be Dorney.

You CANNOT purchase them online, you MAY be able to get one over the phone, you CERTAINLY can get one once at the park.

 

I would recommend just getting to the park super early, or even the night before (depending on your schedule) to try and get the pass purchased and processed. Depending on what day, what time of year, this can take 5 minutes or two hours.

^I did this when I bought my SFOG season pass. I couldn't buy it online because I was like over 300 miles away. However, I could buy them at the ticket booth. I arrived an hour before opening and got my pass processed in 5 minutes.

 

Once you have a Six Flags season pass, you can renew it online and get the renewed pass sent to you, regardless of where you reside.

For Dorney, as long as you don't go on opening weekend, you shouldn't have to wait long. I went on a Tuesday in June to get the pass processed and waited about 3 minutes.

it's a relief to know that i can get them once there as they will save me about one thousand dollars in entrance fees.

 

I am definately able to get there early and in some cases the night before. I'll be there in mid July and i believe it's the busiest time of the year so i dont want to waste any time.

Yeah, it's no problem. I've had Six Flags and Cedar Fair season passes before. I just had to buy them at the parks.

 

Though the employee at SFMM did get really confused as to how I should put in Ontario and my postal code.

I don't know about the "pre-merger" Cedar Fair parks, but I think if you were to go though a former Paramount Park, you can buy it online. Last year I got a pass from Six Flags America online because, like Barry, I wanted a pass from Six Flags Over Georgia but could not get one because of it being over 300 miles away. This year when I got a pass for Carowinds, it never asked me about living within a certain distance, and I would guess it is the same for the other former paramount parks.
