Blue0ctane Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 I built this about a month ago out of boredom. I tore it down recently because my parents complained, but oh well. This thing completed the circuit about 95% of the time with a marble. I have a lot of construction pictures, if anyone's interested (which I'm guessing they are).
Blue0ctane Posted January 17, 2007 Author Posted January 17, 2007 Yes, it was fun to build and to run. What's surprising is that of all the times the marble derailed, it was not once on the brake section. I know how to make good brakes.
EuroTre Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Awesome. Truly awesome. I wish I could make one of those is my room. Now how much would Intamin charge for a bedroom coaster...
Blue0ctane Posted January 17, 2007 Author Posted January 17, 2007 I remember I once tried to write a book about a coaster fanatic who went on all sorts of adventures with his friend. His parents were rich, so they hired Intamin to build a giga coaster in his backyard. Too bad that I was about eleven years old and I gave up after about five pages. -Zach "Three words - clearances, clearances, clearances" Anderson
xascher Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 WOW! very neat. You should try to do a paper coaster! Meaning with a paper train and everything. I did something like that at school, where we were given two sheets of paper, and glue, to make a little coaster car, and it had to work. Then we were given 5 sheets to make the track. Maybe I shall do it again... lol, *has no attention span*
Blue0ctane Posted January 18, 2007 Author Posted January 18, 2007 That sounds like a pretty neat idea, except that I lack patience when it comes to creating things.
chaos Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 At first I thought it was a coaster with a train and everything, but this is still really cool, too. You should try building something bigger.
Blue0ctane Posted January 18, 2007 Author Posted January 18, 2007 Next time I have a free break (not spring break, sadly, I'm going to Philadelphia and then Miami), I'll try making one. I'd do one sooner, but the teachers are piling on the homework.
Golfie Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 My friend and I did something like that with pipe insulator cut in half. We took up an entire garage wall!
