coasters 4 me Posted May 5, 2005 Posted May 5, 2005 I am going to florida for 3 weeks from the 28th June - 21st July. Were are going to Orlando with a falmily for the first week, and hoping to go to Magic Kingdom, MGM, Blizzard Beach and Sea World. After that we are staying by oursleves for 4 days, hoping to go to Islands Of Advenutre and one other i think. Then after we are going to Sarasota. I was wondering, do any of you's know when it is the best time to go to these theme parks? I know 4th June will be the busiest time of the year so we are not going to any parks then. Please help.
SharkTums Posted May 5, 2005 Posted May 5, 2005 Believe it or not, we've actually seen a pattern where the 4th of July isn't too bad. As for your trip, avoid Saturday's and Sunday's if you can and you'll have a better time. Also if you have the option (depending on your tickets situation) just head to the parks after the big rain has gone though at like 4pm when they will empty out a bit! CoasterFanatic Posted May 5, 2005 Posted May 5, 2005 Avoid: Magic Kingdom: Monday, Saturday & Sunday Epcot: Wednesday & Friday Disney-MGM Studios: Tuesday, Wednesday & Saturday Animal Kingdom: Monday, Tuesday & Friday I only have one 4th of July experience (2002 I believe), and it was insane. They turned us around at the Magic Kingdom parking lot and gave us a flyer saying the park was filled to capacity and to check out this other stuff. We went over to Epcot, parked, and took the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. When we got there, there was a line of about 30 people waiting to be let in. They let a person go in for every person that left and we were inside in about 2-3 minutes. The park was really packed but still kind of managable if you know the line patterns and how to use FastPass to it's maximum value. The fireworks were also worth the crowd.
shepp Posted May 5, 2005 Posted May 5, 2005 I (and other people here, I bet) would say Do not miss IOA! Yes, the TOT is cool, but IMO, overall IOA beats MGM hands down. (What a load of initials!) If you do go to IOA, get there early; in my experience, they often open the park before the announced time.
YoshiFan Posted May 5, 2005 Posted May 5, 2005 I was there during the 2nd week of July last year. It was crowded but not so bad that you couldn't walk through the park like at Christmas. The major rides in Disney seemed to average about an hour to an hour and a half wait. Later in the day at the parks, the crowds seem to die down because with the extreme heat, people who were in the park all day usually can't take the heat anymore and leave (and least that's how it seemed to be last year), making the parks a lot less crowded after around 7 or 8.
coasters 4 me Posted May 6, 2005 Author Posted May 6, 2005 thanks for the tips. The family that we are going with are not really big coaster fans. I am the only one out of the eight of us that are obsessed with coasters. And when we went IOA, we went early and it was open, and waited for about 5 mins for the hulk. But that was a week before christmas which i heard was the busiest time of the whole year. Yet again. Thanx for the info.
MiamiBoii4392 Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 The best days to go to any park are: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
