Mariska Veres passed away on Dec 2 2006 in the Hague, Holland.

 

She was best known as the singer of the Duch Band shocking Blue, with the world famous song 'Venus'. Other hits include Never Marry A Railroad Man, Mighty Joe, Blossom Lady, Out Of Sight, Out Of Mind en Inkpot.

 

Here mysterieus voice and appearance made her a sex symbol of the time. This is a great loss for the music industry.

 

She died of cancer, at age 59

I'm now kind of real sad to hear Mariska Veres passed away at her

age 59. Her songs gotta be stuffs that go down in history forever

since they're so familiar aka world people's famous songs.....
