socalMAN123 Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 Hey all! I'm possibly planning a trip to Vegas next year, this is what I've come up with so far: Speed: The Ride- All-day wristband- $19.95 Desperado: Half-day - $22.00 Canyon Blaster: All-ride wristband - $22.95 Stratosphere: Tower admission and 3 rides - $23.95 Manhattan Express: $12.50 Star Trek- The Experience: $38.99 M&M World: Free Total cost of attractions: $140.34 If you can give me advice on where I should stay or anything else I should do, please just post here. I'm really looking forward to this since the last time I visited Las Vegas was in 1999. Remember, I'm trying to keep this on a small budget, so money-safe options would be nice. ---Brent
socalMAN123 Posted November 19, 2006 Author Posted November 19, 2006 UPDATE Hey everyone- I've been looking around for a while this morning, and have found several nice deals. My total trip cost would be $295.21 not counting the costs of food and extra money for souveniers. I think I'll bring about $315.00 because my dad will be covering food costs. I've been looking at this one particular hotel outside of Vegas that will only cost us $269.75 for three nights. I'm splitting the cost with my dad, so we each have an even fare. My agenda is as follows: Friday, July 13th - Arrive, Explore the Strip, Buffalo Bills Saturday, July 14th - Speed: The Ride, Manhattan Express, M&M World, movie Sunday, July 15th - Stratosphere, Adventuredome, Star Trek: The Experience Monday, July 16th - Check-out, last-minute attractions, head home If there is any attraction worth doing that I have missed, please let me know. I can probably fit them in somewhere throughout the days. I will defenitly make time to see such shows as Treasure Island, Bellagio Fountains, Mirage volcano, etc. This is not yet final, seeing we haven't made any reservations yet, but it's about 85%. ---Brent
Twister II Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 For Speed, there is a $5 discount over towards the main entrance to Sahara. You HAVE to have your parent, since you'll have to walk threw the casino. Im not sure what it's called, but you can get a Sahara type credit card there. You'll have to stand in line, once one of the reps calls you up, have your dad/mom ask for a coupon on Speed. Its $5 off an all day wrist band. -Taylor "coupon snipper" Radford
socalMAN123 Posted November 19, 2006 Author Posted November 19, 2006 Thanks Taylor! It will just be my dad and me on this trip, so I think I'll be able to walk through all of the casinos. Anymore money saving options are greatly appreciated! ---Brent
the sound Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Man. I wish my dad would take me to Vegas. Don't forget to stop for Pizza!
marcel2001 Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Try to get the magazin "What's on - the Las Vegas guide" (www.ilovevegas.com). There are plenty of coupons inside, especially for getting discounts in the hotel restaurants.
socalMAN123 Posted November 20, 2006 Author Posted November 20, 2006 ^^Yes! Another credit. Time to add it to the agenda. ^Thanks! I really need as many coupons as I can. ---Brent
weeow Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 You actually HAVE $315??? Wow. Keep us updated. Sounds like you'll have some fun.
Sir Clinksalot Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 If you are driving go to Buffalo Bills either on the way to Vegas or on the way home. It's about 40 miles from Vegas, you will pass it on the way.
What Now Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 You can get half price tickets for Star Trek: The Experience at the discount ticket place over by Gameworks and Coke World (and perhaps at other discount ticket places).
Scaparri Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Unless you and your dad plan on driving to each casino, I recommend parking at once place and taking The Deuce Bus up and down the strip. It's a double-decker bus system that only drives on the strip (and to Fremont Street) that stops just about anywhere along the strip. 24 hour passes are only $5.
socalMAN123 Posted December 14, 2006 Author Posted December 14, 2006 ^ That's a good idea. Thanks for the info. ---Brent
Jew Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 The Monorail is great too. But you'll be doing a bit more walking.
