So on sunday my mom convinced me to ditch school(!!!) and go with her to Haifa, which is a city up north, on a little bit of a root trip. We took the train(YAY! I like trains and havent ridden one in years) up there and got to the city. after a very short while I brought up in a conversation Grand Canyon mall. she asked what is it, and I mentioned that it's a mall somewhere in the city that has an indoor amusement park with a rollercoaster I am yet to have ridden(which is pretty astounding considering there are only about 6 coasters in Israel and my coaster count is around 80) my mom suggested I go to the park, I, of course, hopped on the first bus to the mall. I've been there before, but the coaster was closed =(. after a very long uphill ride(Everything is uphill in that town. seriously) I got to the mall. It's built on the side of a valley, so the entrance from the mall's right side is on the top floor, whereas the emergency exit on the left side of it is actually 8 stories below.

anyhow, I get to the mall and the darn things closed, however, later I see that it just opens later. so i wait around and the thign finally opens.

I enter the park first of all people. even though it has sucky rides you must admit htey have awsome themign and give a cool experience: first you go down a series of long escelators to get to the bottom floor of the mall,w here the park is(kinda like the famous "Escelator ride" only not as heavily themed), then you enter the park hall, where you see(from above) a giant themed mountain, a rollercoaster track practically hanging off the ceiling, and just all about awsome stuff, depsite the fact its %90 kiddy rides.

you then go down lots of stairs and slide down a slide to get ot the actual park.

after riding the wave thingy ride(kinda like the magic carpet ride in RCT?) a couple of times and sliding down some slides the coaster opened.

now let me just explain, this coaster is WEIRD. heres why:

1) I have NO CLUE who built it. the only companies that have built coasters in israel so far are pinafari and vekoma, this was neither. and im quite familiar with coaster companies.

2) despite being like 10 meters up in the air, it has, like, NO big drops.

3) Its powered, which makes me think it might be a MACK, but it looks nothing like no MACK I know.

4) Its pretty much supported by the building supports. meaning the supports dont touch the ground, it basiclaly just wraps itself around existing supports for the mall above.

5) It's got a 3 car train, each car is a tobbogan-coaster-esque enclosed little shoe car, only it seats 4 instead of 2.

6) its really spiraly

technically its a kiddy coaster(which is also weird because of its height), but kids my age can ride it too.

It looks really tame and not scary, with no chances of airtime or speed, so I got on with low expecatitions, but as the dang thing starts it has surprise banking, hairpin turns 10 meters in the air, drastic changes in speed, and the dang thing feels like its gonna derail any second now!

It ended up being a really cool ride!

Here are some pictures I got of it.

One of the helixs that act as a lift hill(well, its a powered coasters, but the helixes are what brings it up to the ceiling)

A train rushing out of the scenic mountain

A train going down the coaster's biggest slope into the station, which -surprise surprise- acts as a brake run.

Close up of the track

I may have more photos later on

Its amazing the amount of videos now days taken with Cell Phones.

I've commented on this ride before, it looks strange. I can't really think of any other way to describe it. Strange.

Are there any other rides there? Because that may be a help. Also, why don't you e-mail the owner of the park/Mall. Maybe the will tell you

Like I said, the park manager didn't know when I asked her, they bought the park after it was already purchased

as for the other rides there... wlel, no other coasters, but there are

-bumper cars

-a bunch of enclosed slides(no water)

-merry-go-round

-kiddy train(as in train, not as in coaster)

-kiddy flume(a log flume thats a couple of meters long, no current, no slopes, just a track to float through)

-wave swinger(the "Flying-carpet-esque" rid eI was talking about)

-a frog hopper ride, although not themed as a frog hopper

-some other ride which i dont know the name of where small kids ride in a big train of jeep-themed-cars on a small, circular track with one hill in the middle of it

-bungee trampolines(those are pretty big in Israel)

-rock climbing wall

-various carnival games and an arcade

-a large simulator
