thomas2 Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 Surfing on RCDB I found this: http://www.rcdb.com/id3679.htm It looks like EP already has plans for a new coaster for 2008. It will be bigger then Pegasus (which is pretty big for a family coaster IMO) and it will be located underneath Atlantica SuperSplash. EP built Atlantica SuperSplash in 2005, Pegasus in 2006, they're building a new ride now for 2007 and they announce a new coaster by 2008. Things are going good over there
Wishmaster Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 ^ What would you expect from a park that has an anual construction budget of 20 million euro.
rollocoast Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 Does anybody know what happened with that one German kids wooden coaster that was moved (or going to be moved?) there?
thomas2 Posted October 25, 2006 Author Posted October 25, 2006 ^Uhm Europa Park never had a wooden coaster...
robbalvey Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 ^ Yes. He knows that. He's talking about the German kid who build a backyard woodie and Europa Park had rumoured to have bought. --Robb
niiicolaaah Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 Woohoo, yet another reason for me to want to visit Europa! (another credit )
thomas2 Posted October 26, 2006 Author Posted October 26, 2006 ^ Yes. He knows that. He's talking about the German kid who build a backyard woodie and Europa Park had rumoured to have bought. --Robb Lol that's what you get when English isn't your first language
matteocrepaldi Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 I think that Europa Park needs a non sit-down coaster with some cool inversions.
Djonne Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 I think that Europa Park needs a non sit-down coaster with some cool inversions. Europa park has some weird politics. They says no inversions coasters, because we are a family park, so we'll only build rides suitable for every boday. What about a 230ft tall coaster? But I think, if anytime they change their mind, it would be great, because they have a LOT of possibilities since no real coasters are already there. But the town and the lack of space is a problem, too :/
niiicolaaah Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 No real coasters?? Huh?? Coasters can be "real" without having inversions.
Wishmaster Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 ^^ Actually, whenever they want to build something they ask the GP what they prefer. It's the GP in the south of Germany that don't like inversions. When they were started planning to build Silverstar they let people choose between a coaster with inversions and a high, fast coaster. And we al know what they prefered.
thomas2 Posted October 26, 2006 Author Posted October 26, 2006 ^Thank god they did because Silver Star rockes my socks
