ScOtT k Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 So, my buddies and I heard that there had been a 2 foot dump in the mountains. We decided to hike up to the top of an old ski area for a couple of runs. A nice shot of my friend Sean, and the Berthoud Pass sign. Note that we are at 11,000 feet! Almost 2 feet of snow. Very tough to walk through. I am in the blue... stuck on a tree. Still stuck... Lame We finally make it to the top, and fly down. Our tracks. We were some of the first to ski berthoud this year. Let's do another lap. Anyhow, we had alot of fun. Think Winter!!!
bradw73 Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 WOW, so lucky. I thought it was cold here in Tampa at 50 degrees.
FlyingScooter Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Nice! I can't wait for ski season to start. best I'll do this is New York, but that's better than nothing.
Tömmioh Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Cool! Nice pics, I love mountains. Yay! for skiing , I still have to wait about two months.
ScOtT k Posted October 24, 2006 Author Posted October 24, 2006 ^^ I don't even ski on snow that out of towners find absolutely delightful. I am spoiled. Anyhow, it looks like another 4 or 5 inches will hit us tomorrow.
goleafsgo Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 Cant wait for ski season. Here in Toronto we have a little hill/mountain ski area about an hour north, which is fun to go to every weekend... I wish i lived in Colorado or BC though... p.s. has anyone ever been catskiing? im going this winter, just wondering what it is like.
ScOtT k Posted October 25, 2006 Author Posted October 25, 2006 Cat Skiing is alot of fun, but very exhausting. The snow was heavy and deep. After just a few runs I was ready to go home. A great expierence though.
thomas2 Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 Yay for skiing! Those pics of the snow just make me want to ski right now!
