Stitch Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 So far all I have built is a spinning mouse coaster and I like it a lot. If someone can help me make a POV video of it, I would be most appreciative. Here are a few teaser pictures ... Spooky Mouse .... it's spooky!
coasterdude5 Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Nice park, I like how the mouse uses the terrain a bit.
Stitch Posted September 3, 2006 Author Posted September 3, 2006 Lol thanks, the only terrain part is that shown in the picture. I just got RCT3 again yesterday so I am shying away from major terrain work atm
kenshinmac Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Ouch... I gotta say that first hill kinda looks like it would hurt. I don't think spinning mice have drops like that typically... Oh BTW the way you record videos is to press shift+F11 typically I believe but I think sometimes adding Ctrl to the keys is necessary for some reason. I'll give it a check later though if you don't say you have success.
Stitch Posted September 4, 2006 Author Posted September 4, 2006 Lol, it's a game ... and it's fun to spin so , and as for the video ... I can capture, I just can't edit.
kenshinmac Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Lol, it's a game ... and it's fun to spin so , and as for the video ... I can capture, I just can't edit. Just use Windows Movie Maker which should be installed on almost any copy of Windows XP. It isn't too good but it isn't terrible...
Stitch Posted September 4, 2006 Author Posted September 4, 2006 Eww XP, I don't use that so I don't have WMM
kenshinmac Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Eww XP, I don't use that so I don't have WMM Wait so what OS are you running?
NitroRider Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 You should be able to download it for free if you just search it. I like like the mouse using terrain also. Good Job!
Stitch Posted September 4, 2006 Author Posted September 4, 2006 Windows Movie Maker is free but it doesn't run on Win98SE, that's why I don't have it. Thanks for the compliments on Spooky Mouse, I appreciate them. After looking at pictures of CP's new coaster I decided to make a version of my own Sidewinder .... it's sidewindy!
Stitch Posted September 4, 2006 Author Posted September 4, 2006 Mine is not an Aquatrax ... you can see that in the pictures . Like I said before, Sidewinder is my version of the new CP coaster. See, I modeled it after this picture.
Stitch Posted September 4, 2006 Author Posted September 4, 2006 Update and a how to guide! How to make a nice restaurant. 1) Find an ideal location. 2) Build the pathways for your new building. 3) Build walls around the exposed parts of your paths and place your stalls. 4) Continue building your wall until you have reached the top of your second story path. 5) Depending on your theme, place some animatronics on the "Stage" part of your building. 6) Place lights to make sure your building is lit well enough at night. 7) Complete your back and side walls, then add the roof. There you go, a nice restaurant for your peeps
Stitch Posted September 4, 2006 Author Posted September 4, 2006 I am glad you all liked the how to . I added a Frisbee ... not much more needs to be said . TNT Whirlwind .... it's Whirlwindy!
coasters 4 me Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Whao...I haven't played RCT3 in a while cause it messes up my computer. But after seeing this makes me want to play it right now. This looks like it is going to be a great park. Great work!!
doitdumont1128 Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 I don't even know where there is a movie maker for any other than Xp. if any1 knows where one is can u please post a link. great park btw!
Stitch Posted September 5, 2006 Author Posted September 5, 2006 New ride and how to guide. How to mimic a real ride you like. 1) Find a roller coaster you like, you can look through RCDB to find one. The coaster in this project is Stunt Fall. 2) Build the ride to the best of your abilities, this case it's Stunt Fall. 3) Make the borders of the buildings in front of Stunt Fall. 4) Add pathways to your buildings and ones from the ride. 5) As always, go to night mode and place lamps to make sure everything will be lit up. 6) Customize each section of the building. 7) Add a roof because the second floor will have nothing on it. 8 ) Add walls for the second floor, make sure to surround the windows with walls. Since there is nothing on this floor putting walls up will keep peeps from seeing it's empty. 9) Add a roof and this section is done. 10) I want the middle to be shorter since the cobra roll is behind it. So, make a short roof on this section and you are done. 11) Repeat step 6 on the last section. 12) Add a small roof over the small exposed path to make a nice place to rest. Also add a fence to section off this path. 13) Fence in the exit path. 14) Add a roof to the queue line. 15) Theme the station and you are finished! Here are two POV shots and one overview of the finished project.
Stitch Posted September 5, 2006 Author Posted September 5, 2006 Thanks Goleafsgo and Weetopia, if I add any custom supports to it they will not be custom scenery. I will most likely do work on the towers but I will not be adding the escape steps.
doitdumont1128 Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 I want to make a park with a movie, but i hav windows 2000. anyone know of a movie maker for it?
Stitch Posted September 5, 2006 Author Posted September 5, 2006 Please make a new thread about your question, thanks
