timetrial3141592 Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Do any of you still have Loopy Landscapes? Okay, boot it up. Go to Katie's World (Katie's Dreamland) (it's a scenario in RCT1 Vanilla) and look at The Storm (the huge mine-train). Anyone else see a resemblance to The Ultimate?
Sasquatch Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Could you put up some screens? I wanna see!
HCOSurfer90 Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 You know, I was just thinking this before, weird. It also has a sewer rat type ride in there too.
timetrial3141592 Posted September 3, 2006 Author Posted September 3, 2006 I didn't notice it until I saw an Ultimate video. Particularly the bit with the two tunnels... The segment between the first lift and the second lift was shortened... ah well. It's odd.
goleafsgo Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 meh kinda. Â Â the 2 lift hills is really the only bit. the part after the 2nd drop isnt as crazy as the ultimate....
timetrial3141592 Posted September 10, 2006 Author Posted September 10, 2006 After the second lift, there is a boring straight section. Â The "terrain hill" is the same. Â The tunnels are nearly identical. Â The turn things are nearly identical, too.
CP_RULES Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 I think you should post some screens, my game isnt isntalled anymore.
BiCoastal Kid Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 A lot of parks and rides in RCT are inspired by real rides. it shouldn;t be that big of a surprise. I noticed the resemblence when it first came out.
FlippyTrick09 Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 ^ Me too.. I thought I was the only one though
Shavethewhales Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 yeah, chris sawyer designed that park after visiting Light water valley, I didn't notice either until after I had gone to the park myself as well.
