coasterfan200692 Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 These are my best coasters. (if you notcied an pg 4 the multi posts, im sorry, it was an accident. Dont come complaining about them becuase I dont care wht you have to say) Show me your best too! Hyper-060810130209002.bmp Hyper-060810130206001.bmp Hyper.nltrack This is my best.
coasterfan200692 Posted August 10, 2006 Author Posted August 10, 2006 Heres another. This was my first attempt at a suspended coaster. I like the lift hill but other wise, it's not my favorite. Catastrophe-060810153435002.bmp Catastrophe-060810153401000.bmp The layout is pretty simple. After leaving the Immelmen, it enters a brake segment then goes throught a corkscrew and some more brake segments. Catastrophe.nltrack
coasterfan200692 Posted August 10, 2006 Author Posted August 10, 2006 This was my first attempt at a hyper coaster. It turned out great. I gave it the name Star Chaser becuase the supports look somewhat like stars. I love this roller coaster and I hope you do too. If you dident notice, it's based off of Nitro. Star Chaser-060810155703002.bmp Good banked Curve. Star Chaser-060810155701001.bmp Sorry about the screen shot picture. Star Chaser-060810155700000.bmp I love the supports on the lift. coasterfan200692 Posted August 10, 2006 Author Posted August 10, 2006 This is my best wooden roller coaster. I tried my hardest to make it have a re-accuring theme in the hills; turnimg to the left and then the right. I like this roller coaster the most. If you down load it please tell me what you thought. saytrain Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 I think they look great. I don't have no limits yet so I can't ride them, but it looks to be some fun ones. A question for you. Was this really your first attempt or did you play around with NL for a while before you really were able to get the hang of it. I just got the demo, seems difficult (probably inexperience), or does the full version have some design features which make things easier?
coasterfan200692 Posted August 10, 2006 Author Posted August 10, 2006 What I ment by first attempts was that this was my first attempt at the spacific roller coaster type. But yes I did play around before I got it. I would show you my first roller coaster that I ever made but It was on a different computer.
coasterfan200692 Posted August 10, 2006 Author Posted August 10, 2006 This roller coaster was inspired by Shwartzkoph's Magnum Force. If you take a close look, the loops are not one after another. The train goes down a banked hill, into one loop, up a banked hill, then repeats the process again on a smaller scale. I recently changed the supports and the lift. Hope you like it. waterviper Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Whoa dude!! Those look simply wicked!! Cant wait to ride them!!
kennywood!007 Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Cool coasters. They look great. I don't have NL though so I can't ride em.
coasterfan200692 Posted August 10, 2006 Author Posted August 10, 2006 RCT wasent enouph for me so I went out and got NL. It is the best thing for a serious roller coaster enthusiast.
coasterfan200692 Posted August 10, 2006 Author Posted August 10, 2006 This roller coaster was the first roller coaster i built after I got no limits for the secong time. We are talking about a 4 month break off of no limits so it's not exactly grade A material. Any way, I do like this coaster though. The hill that enters the cobra roll used to be a zero g roll but i decided that was a little too unrealistic. Ultimate-060810184638005.bmp Ultimate-060810184637004.bmp This is my favorite part of the ride. Ultimate-060810184623003.bmp I thought scince this was a corkscrew stile roller coaster I should add a classic double corscrew. Ultimate-060810184617002.bmp Ultimate-060810184604001.bmp That hill was the location of the zreo-g-roll. Ultimate.nltrack Dident take me too long. My favorite part is the secong banked curve off of the Immelmen. It's a little over 90 degrees.
Rollerholden Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 All of those coasters were smooth and they had good transitions, but I think they had too many supports in some places.
coasterfan200692 Posted August 11, 2006 Author Posted August 11, 2006 thank you for your comment. But which coasters and which places were there too many.
waterviper Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 Fantastic!! I love your style of coaster building and I would say Sidewinder is one of my fav woodies! Â I don't know what holden is talkin about by saying there is to many supports. I think your supports are just fine. But there were some tree hits and support hits on some coasters. I dont really remember which ones. I really liked Spring but your braking was a bit to much and made for a slow coaster. Try easing off on the brakes on that one. Reduce the size of the break run and that will ease up on the harder breakage. They all are pretty much realistic with good pacing and length! Yes the transitions were silky smoothe with no awkward moments if ya know what I mean. Keep up the great work dude! I look forward to riding more of your coasters!
coasterfan200692 Posted August 11, 2006 Author Posted August 11, 2006 I started out trying to make a recreation of scream but it didnt work out so I kept the name and color scheme and totally started to cutomize. Scream!-060810205033000.bmp Scream!.nltrack
waterviper Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 Dude with your coaster building skills, I would love to see some recreations bye you! Â Ok with Scream you had two really nasty pole hits! hehe! Ya try and watch out for those!

I will keep your suggestion in mind. Ill be sure to make some more and post them.
coasterfan200692 Posted August 11, 2006 Author Posted August 11, 2006 well i tried the vortex at PKI and lets just say I didnt aprrove of it. But i will attepmt some more.
waterviper Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 Dude with Scream there were two pole hits! One was completely in the middle of the track! hehe! Ya you gota look out for those dreaded pole hits!
Calaway Park Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 I started out trying to make a recreation of scream but it didnt work out so I kept the name and color scheme and totally started to cutomize. That was somewhat jerky and there were a lot of support hits. Your other ones were better.
coasterfan200692 Posted August 11, 2006 Author Posted August 11, 2006 crap. ive been going back and doing alotof modifications, guess i skipped that one
waterviper Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 Ya I did notice some jerky spots but not enough to knock ya teeth out of ya mouth like some NL coasters I have riddin. You pretty much got the smoothness down good for the most part.
coasterfan200692 Posted August 11, 2006 Author Posted August 11, 2006 I was a little indecisive about posting this coaster becuase i knew it wasent the best but I was desperate.
coasterfan200692 Posted August 11, 2006 Author Posted August 11, 2006 This is the second suspeneded i've done. I know that some of the banking really dosnt contribute to good lateral g's but I still think it is an ok coaster. It is not my best and is not my favorite but I thought it would be a good one to add. Falcon-060810211558001.bmp Falcon-060810211603002.bmp Falcon-060810211542000.bmp Falcon.nltrack
coasterfan200692 Posted August 11, 2006 Author Posted August 11, 2006 I will add another NL track later on today.
