GAcoaster Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 Six Flags has just rolled out the "Anniversary Pass" offering the rest of the 2006 season for the cost of a single day admission. I sense desperation to bring in guests for the rest of the season... This is going to mean Fright Fest will be EXTRA crowded.
bgwfreak Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 That's what they get for charging $15 for parking.
imdrunk Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 You're right about the parking. $15 is ridiculous. I wish I would have known they'd offer this new pass - I bought a regular pass back in May when I visited SFNE. I haven't been back to any SF since. I've been too busy to travel. Once I move to Connecticut in two weeks, I'll be at the park all of the time. I could have saved a few bucks (probably only one day's parking).
GAcoaster Posted August 1, 2006 Author Posted August 1, 2006 I just got more info... They are ONLY good at the park that issues them. As for the $15 parking, I don't think that's the cause of the attendance decline. Cedar Fair just came out with their Q2 numbers and their attendance and revenues are down despite LOWERING ticket prices this season. It sounds like they are all suffering from the high price of gas more than anything.
Carnage Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 They are ONLY good at the park that issues them. Is that specific to SFGAM? I checked out La Ronde and they have a $50 mid season pass, and it specifically states that it's good at all parks. Link Thinking of heading up to La Ronde, and if I got that pass I could use it at SFOG if I spring for that.
arrowfanman Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 Yea...the reason Six Flags raised their price of parking, is because, well...they can. Parking is usually one of those costs that people dont remember to look into. They figure its 7-10 bucks. So when they drive an hour to get to the park, only to find that parking is 15 bucks...what are they going to do? Turn around and drive home, for an hour, with the kids crying in the back? No. They curse beneath their breath as they fork out 15 dollars. -Jahan

I'm hearing it's the same for all parks issuing "Anniversary Pass"es, which the website says is ALL Six Flags branded parks.
Carnage Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 ^I'm guessing La Ronde must be an exception then. As it's not a Six Flags branded park, just a Six Flags run park.
