A few Six Flags Great America Questions.

Ok, here are a few questions about SFGAM. First of all I am only going to be there for a few hours. I want to hit up Raging Bull, Whizzer, Viper, and American Eagle. Any sugestions of what else I should ride.

Also, in what order should I ride?

Go to Raging Bul first, then Viper, then Whizzer, and then American Eagle. You'll probably be able to get a few rides on Eagle too. If you go in the morning when the park first opens, you'll have all this done in about an hour and a half. I recommend Batman because it's usually a short line and always intense. Plus Demon is fun in the back row because you get soooo much airtime on the first drop. Superman only has a short line at night and isn't that great. Deja Vu is a favorite for most people, but I say avoid it because when it's even open its line may look short but is always long and a waste. Most importantly, have fun!

Why backtrack so much and do the ride with the best capacity in the park first??

 

I'd do Whizzer first since it has the weakest capacity, then work my way in a circle around the park doing The Bull + Viper before heading back to American Eagle.

I am not going to do V2 because I did wicked twister, and I was not too impressed. I am not going to do Batman, because I have one 45 minutes away from me. Demon is a posibility, but does it hurt? Also what about Iron Wolf? Is that worth it?

Hmm... Try to tackle them in a loop around the park. So go to Whizzer, Viper, Raging Bull, then American Eagle. or vice-versa... just depends what you want to get done first.

 

I suppose you've been on a Superman and Batman clone... but those two are pretty nice. I'd say go on Batman - since it's the original. Avoid Demon unless you want the credit.... yep!

I would skip Iron Wolf, it's a pretty rough ride. Last time anyway. Raging Bull has great capacity so it's rideable any time of the day.

I was really surprised by how quick the Raging Bull line went. The queue was out to the entrance when we got in line and we were preparing to wait at least an hour, but it took just under half an hour to get on. If you want to ride Superman, definately go to that first. The queue fills up right away and the line goes incredibly slow. We were on the second ride of the day and when we came off the line was already out to the entrance.

I actually enjoyed V2 more than Wicked Twister. Having the straight spike with the holding brake is a lot different than two twisty spikes. I think it's worth a ride, even just to see the difference for yourself, but obviously that's up to you. Demon wasn't too bad, but it's not something I'd ride more than once. Same thing for Iron Wolf. That's just me though, I'm sure there are people who disagree with me..which is why I'd say you should find out for yourself

But V2 has a holding brake. Its pretty cool.

Vertical Velocity is the same as Steel Venom, with the holding brake on the straight spike. The only difference is that V2's holding brake isn't nearly as loud as Venom's.

 

Go to Superman. Go DIRECTLY to Superman. Do not pass GO, do not collect $200.

 

I was pleasantly surprised at the pace of Raging Bull's line as well. It never took longer than 30 minutes to get completely through the ride.

 

Ride Iron Wolf to get the credit, then move along.

I won't ride superman, because I live close to the original superman, and I dont want to ride the SFGAM one because there less near ground misses. You guys also may have convinced me to give V2 a shot.
