pgathriller Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 I went to Dollywood 2 days ago and when I was exiting from the Thunderhead and I saw a roller coaster train car behind a fence that does not belong to TT or Thunderhead. It looked like a suspended coaster car and it looked used. There were more pieces of it but I really couldn't see them. I could be a complete idiot and have the whole thing wrong but it looked definetly like a coaster car. I know it can't be for the new coaster Dollywood is building. Anybody know what it could be?
Electerik Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 Last time I was there--about a week or two ago--I spotted a set of (extra) seats from Timber Tower sitting back by the Thunderhead maintenance area. Possibly that's what you saw...?
Hercules Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 Nah. They are getting a 270 foot SLC along with the Mystery Mine next year.
pgathriller Posted July 1, 2006 Author Posted July 1, 2006 ^ It couldve been because I really didn't look it over but they looked old not new like the Timber Tower.
TheKlockster Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 The HUSS seats used on many of the rides including Timber Tower, and all of the HUSS Giant Rides - come in units that contain two seats per unit. And they do look like inverted coaster cars sort of.
