Even though I have no photoshopping skills, I guess I would have to lean my vote towards..... Um... The Big Mike Road Show 2008! That was a good choice Peace, Big Mike -
Hello once again my friends!!! This week The Big Mike Road Show 2008 traveled to Connecticut to visit opening day at Lake Compounce, opening day at Quassy Amusement Park, back to New York for opening day at Rye Playland, and then a stop at Krazy City. This report will only have Lake Compounce and the next report will have the remaining 3 parks. Lake Compounce was an awesome park. I liked it very much. I hope you enjoy reading! Peace, Big Mike PS - The Big Mike Road Show 2008 will visit Six Flags Great Adventure this Friday, May 16th to ride the new for 2008 coaster -The Dark Knight! Anyone have some free time to check out the new coaster??? It only made sense to have Sue check off Connecticut on The Official Big Mike Road Show T-Shirt in front of the coaster that is so special to her. Peace, Big Mike Lake Compounce is a very beautiful park with a lot of nice rides and a great coaster. Check it out and have a free soda in honor of Big Mike! Have no fear folks, The Big Man always comes through! I was out looking for hot babes in the water park and this water bucket got dumped on me. Yes! The water park. Time to go look for a hot bikini picture for my readers. But with the parking lot looking like that, can Big Mike come through?? Hey, look! Its ESPN. Who am I kidding! I was scared too! This was the scariest ride in the park. Other people were scared as could be. Little chickens and scardy cats. This ride took you VERY high up, but see that Big Mike is still as cool as can be. I asked Sue what not to miss at the park and she suggested the Sky Ride. Wow, was she right! A nice little coaster. This is the centerpiece of the park as soon as you enter. The cars are ready to be ridden. Here is a view of the whole track. On to the last coaster of the park, The Wildcat. I am not even going to try to explain what I think these two are doing! Looks like one of them has a foot fetish! I happened to stumble across the employee break area. I guess when the park is open, they have no where else to go. A picture for my great friend Coaster Palooza! Have it? Credit #580 for Big Mike!!!! Here are the cars and Big Mike fits into them! Here is all the excitement that is about to take place! The reason we are here. The Kiddie Coaster, which Big Mike skipped years ago before becoming a coaster collector. The word whore does not suit me I came across this statue. This is almost the identical pose I am usually in when taking pictures of myself lol. I stole some ice cream Zoomerang! Frontwards and then backwards. Waiting to be released is a fun part of this ride. Zoomerang from up above. Nice and flashy, but not nice enough to have Big Mike ride again Next up was Zoomerang! Ahhh! The first of many. Here are your choices at one of the many refill stations throughout the park. After a whole bunch of almost non stop rides, I worked up a thirst for some free unlimited soda! It is a nice ending to an awesome ride, Big Mike's favorite of the park for sure. This nice little section was just added and I liked it. Airtime anybody? You finally come flying out of the woods and turn back for more. This is where the coaster gets it's name from! You do a lot of Boulder dashing on this ride. Watch out!!! Then it is back into the woods for quite a long time. Good thing I had my hiking shoes on to get this picture! The first drop comes flying out of the trees very fast. Big Mike about to disappear into the woods, somewhat afraid after watching The Blair Witch Project. The lift hill just disappears into the woods. And here is the customary Big Mike face in front of the coaster sign that you have all got used to seeing. Here are the official stats for Boulder Dash, I had to get a picture of them together again in the same spot! They have ridden Boulder Dash over 2000+ times! Here is the train and you can see thier plaque in the background. Boulder Dash is very special to them as they were married on Boulder Dash a few years ago! How awesome is that? Sue and her husband Rich and I went straight to Boulder Dash of course! Lake Compounce is the oldest park in America! Here is what you can do at Lake Compounce! Here are the prices for the 2008 season. The Big Mike Road Show 2008 is proud to present "Sue" on Theme Park Review and my new friend. 15 minutes before opening on opening day, and this is the crowd! Can you say unlimited rides on Boulder Dash? It did not take long to find Sue at all! They sure do look happy to see The Big Mike Road Show! Actually right across the street from ESPN is Lake Compounce! WWE sent me next to ESPN studios in Bristol CT to sign some tv contracts. Thats the life of Big Mike! We had some business to take care of first. WWE wrestling in Greenwich Ct called requesting a meeting after seeing my Mexico wrestling from last week. Moose and Sue were supposed to meet me, but Moose backed out. Holding no hard feelings, I took this rubber duckie picture for Moose! Not again! I should have known. We cannot ride in the US without causing these accidents EVERY week we travel There have been no accidents lately on The Big Mike Road Show 2008, so we went back to our VIP transportation.

Photo Trip Report: Rye Playland Opening Day May 10, 2008
Big Mike replied to milst1's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Parking was $7, but you got a cool bumper sticker when you paid! I watched the derby for awhile, and even though they were going fast, they looked stationary to me. Peace, Big Mike -
OK Everybody, After checking all the info out, here is what I found out: Saturday May 10th: Lake Compounce open 11am - 8pm. Quassy amusement park open noon - 6pm. The ride is 2 1/2 hours from Big Mike Productions World Headquarters. The weather is partly cloudy with a high of 64 degrees. I pass Rye Playland on the way, which I need the kid coaster but the max height limit is 55 inches. Probably no way to ever get it now. So I think it is safe to say that this week's Big Mike Road Show 2008 excursion will bring us to Lake Compounce in CT at opening at 11am! This will be the 7th different state that The Big Mike Road Show 2008 has visited in less than 2 months, plus a side trip to Mexico! I plan to spend the day there, drinking all the free soda they are giving out, ride Boulder Dash a whole bunch of times, check out the park at a leisurely pace this time, make sure I get my outstanding credit called the Kiddie Coaster which I passed on last visit before I became the credit whore that I am today lol. I also plan to take a lot of pictures and get a lot of info for my Big Mike readers, and hopefully meet up with "Sue" and "Moose" from TPR and hopefully a few others!! I plan on leaving at about 3:30 to 4pm to drive over to Quassy Amusement Park and collect 2 more coaster credits!! I think I can get that park done in about an hour? Anyone know the park and agree or disagree with me? This trip will complete the state of Connecticut 100% coaster wise! Closing at 6pm, I could either head back to Lake Compounce or head over to Rye Playland on my way back home. Still looking for coupon advice or discounts for Lake Compounce! Hope to see some new friends this Saturday!! Peace, Big Mike

Sue, that is so awesome! Was there a trip report or pictures of the wedding here on TPR? I would like to check it out! I hope to see you on Saturday. I will be wearing The Official Big Mike Road Show 2008 T-Shirt. Shane, I will try to take care of your request my friend! Peace, Big Mike Big Mike and The Naked Cowboy! Per request for my good friend Shane.

Nice Mr. Moose!! I figure I will be at Lake Compounce at opening hopefully and then spend most of the day and then head to Quassy late afternoon or evening. I have not done the least bit of studying for it yet though, so I have no idea how long it will take me to get there, when the parks are open, or how far they are away from each other. Will do that soon and keep in touch with you. ^^ 95% of nice sups is kinda high! lol at least where I work. Hope you don't get rained on. ^^^ I have the thrill of actually hitting 2 John's Pizza places Thanks for the tip on the waterpark, could come in handy. No way I would eat a peanut butter pizza! Plus, I never have high expectations of these coasters, just the thrill to check it off my list! Peace, Big Mike

PackFan - It is always my pleasure! Team Thriller - Sounds cool! Email Elissa for details. She is so awesome with that stuff. How is Johns Incredible Pizza? Am I going to like the pizza or coaster better? Bobbi Jo, Don't hate on us supervisors lol. Some of us are actually nice people I have you beat by 10 years! June 24th will be 23 years at UPS. I work in the Parsippany Building during the day thank goodness. No more overnight shifts for me hopefully. I work a dopey Sunday - Thursday shift. Hey Gary, I am leaning to putting off Kings Dominion for a little bit now that I went there already. I think there is a special event there later in the year, I will have to check when it is again. I will keep in touch and give you advance notice for your boss, hopefully Your welcome cool hand luke. I will show you my decision between the two. Looks like rain here all weekend If it does not rain, I am leaning towards going to opening day at Lake Compounce in CT this Saturday and then hitting Quassy Amusement Park that night. 3 more outstanding credits to be claimed! Just got an email from Great Adventure today. The Dark Knight is opening Thursday May 15th at noon!!! I think I will plan a trip back to Great Adventure the day after (Friday May 16th). Anyone want to meet up at either Lake Compounce, Quassy, or Great Adventure... Let me know! Peace, Big Mike Your welcome again!
