Big Mike

Hello Friends!!! This is always one of my favorite updates to do, the Friends and Family portion of the update! Big Mike takes great pride in not only delivering top notch trip reports, but also in bringing back great memories of all the fun everyone had on the trip by posting never before seen pictures of the trip! All of these pictures are of all my friends, and I hope everyone enjoys them. If you weren't on the trip, maybe you can spot a few of your favorite TPR personalities! Since this is the first Find the Ducky Game in quite a long while, I am going to set the deadline to post your ducky guesses at 11pm EST on MONDAY night! This gives everyone who has played so far and has wins in the standings to respond. Hello Friends!!! Nearly a full year after the sudden hiatus of The Big Mike Road Show due to my Dad's death, The Big Mike Road Show thread is now proud to be back! The love and support of the TPR community during this rough time was amazing! Cards, emails, words of encouragement, and a LOT of people showing Big Mike love during his recovery period! I am happy to inform everyone that we have a HUGE TPR star that will make a special appearance at the start of our trip report too, a great way to start things off! I admit, I thought of closing up shop for good, and since cancelling my trip to West Coast Bash days after Dad left, its sad to say I had no urge at all to hit the road anymore. Slowly during the year, I did get to gradually hang out with coaster friends again and the constant encouragement from everyone to come back has led me to where we are today, the continuation of one of TPR'S most favorite threads! I feel the urge again! I want to go ride coasters right now! I want to hang out with all my good friends as soon as possible! Finally, I want to entertain my Valuable Big Mike Readers!! I really underestimated how many people actually enjoy my thread. Friends and people that I have not even met always sent positive vibes my way, and that meant the most in getting me back into the saddle! THANKS!!!!!!!!! So here at Big Mike World Headquarters, if you have not heard yet, we are very hard at work constructing the set of the BRAND NEW "BIG MIKE ROAD SHOW" actually show set! We are sparing no expenses and the stage set is really taking shape! The Big Mike Road "Show" will be a monthly video show in which we have a lot of fun stuff planned, including: 1. A video trip report of seldom seen parks each month (PTRs are old news, Big Mike launches to the next level of VTRs) while still showing all the rides, prices, fun, and extra shenanigans! 2. Big Mike's Mailbag - a segment Big Mike answers all questions sent from TPR members. 3. Contest updates and standings on the Big Mike Most Valuable Reader Contest, who will win a 1 week free condo stay! (Big Mike did not want to stand everyone up mid-contest, so we will finish that contest and send someone out to stay in a condo for a week on The Big Man! It is not too late for everyone to enter) 4. Induction ceremonies into The Big Mike Road Show Hall of Fame. 5. A Behind the Scenes of the Big Mike Road Show segment showing videos of Big Mike bringing the Valuable Big Mike Readers to other very cool places with him. 6. Viewer Videos section, where you can create your own video tribute to Big Mike and have it aired on the show for all of TPR to see your talents. 7. A NEW CONTEST FOR 2011!!! As always, besting the Grand Prize from the year before, the winner will once again get a FREE ONE WEEK CONDO STAY of thier choice, but, this time will ALSO get $100 in spending money to increase the fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Big Mike never did like or use the word "Epic", but this contest will be "Super-Epic" and every single person on TPR will be able to participate and win the grand prize!! Details soon! 8. A TPR Hottie Interview!!! - Big Mike interviews a different TPR Hottie each month so you get to know each of them better and find out more interesting facts about them personally! Hopefully, maybe a few of the interviews will come straight from the Hotties bedroom! (Big Mike's goal of calling it Big Mike in Bed with the TPR Hotties). We need some good sports PLUS MORE content still being worked out!!! So, this is where all The Valuable Big Mike Readers come into play!!!! You can help in a wide variety of ways to get the show off the ground and to make it very enjoyable to watch!!! Big Mike World Headquarters needs and requests the following: Send any and all questions for the Big Mike's Mailbag segment to the below address. You can ask ANYTHING, Big Mike's opinions, personal stuff, behind the scenes info, goals, likes/dislikes, ect. Send really cool videos put together of Big Mike and any other cool tributes to the same address so that Big Mike can display them on the show. Send your favorite 8 X 10 photo of you with Big Mike to the same address as each month, Big Mike would like to display different TPR friends on the main desk of the studio set, I will frame them, and by you sending your favorite picture in, you are saying you want to be on the show and displayed proudly for the camera to see! Big Mike needs Hottie Interviews!!!!! Big Mike is looking for invites to your house so that he can interview you, just fun stuff, not serious stuff. Maybe see some other hobbies and talents you have, answer a few questions, ect. If you want to show your cool side and invite Big Mike over to do an interview on your bed, Big Mike would be GREATLY appreciative (No bed, thats ok too) Big Mike will also bring a few pizzas over too for compensation!!! Big Mike is lucky enough to have TPR superstar and legendary bad ass Ice Bat to welcome Big Mike back and to tell all the Valuable Big Mike Readers which ducky to find today, because YES, this IS a FIND THE DUCKY game!!! (This ducky does not count toward your total) Rutschebanen! Don't mind the mint in the side of Big Mike's mouth, have to stay fresh for the hotties! Our driver. Yep, there is actually a brake man on the coaster, how cool is that? The brake. The lift. Lots of drops and tunnels, exciting! Great airtime here! I borrowed this picture, but this explains it the best! Big Mike in an "Oh Shiiiiiiiiit" moment! Our brake man Kurt! Ka-Ching! Coaster Credit #791 for Big Mike! We were lucky enough to have a behind the scenes tour of this classic coaster, TPR style! Well hello!!! Look what we were greeted to upon enterance Robb shows Big Mike how he used to get the ladies all warmed up, BEFORE he was married of course. Now only one super special girl gets the Robb treatment! In return, Big Mike shows Robb how he heats the ladies up after they have been warmed up! There could be some promise to the Robb/Big Mike combo ticket! Special exclusive diagram of the layout of the coaster. The "Wall of Horror"! These are the brake men who have derailed the coaster for going to fast. Hey, our brake man Kurt leads the pack!!! Good thing we took the tour AFTER we rode and I did not have to worry! The repair shop. Take into account, all of this is built INSIDE the coaster! Reenactment of when Kurt is the brake man and what could have happened to your beloved Big Mike!!! Notice, no seat belts! Big Mike would have been splattered on the ground. Here we are inside the track.... ... and here we are outside by the track. Big Mike decided to sit by the track and greet the riders going by. "Hi everybody, I am Big Mike!" After the tour, it was time for Big Mike to do yet another interview for the masses on his wealth of coaster information and his amazing journeys to coaster super stardom! After the interview, I asked this hottie if she would be interested in the Robb/Big Mike Combo ticket, and she was not into it???? She does not know what she was missing!! Daemonen! I know it is the lift hill of Daemonen, but Big Mike was still a little flabbergasted that he got turned down and forgot to take a picture of the coaster sign. The drop. Hard to get a good picture of all the action of this coaster, but this sums it up pretty well. I told Hot Fuzz Rich I would get him into The Road Show more often! Ka-Ching! Coaster Credit #792 for Big Mike, while riding with his good buddy Robb and an empty seat that could have been for the interview lady! Big mistake lady Big Mike passes Bill on the way to the next coaster and he is enjoying that ice cream way to much for Big Mike not to want one, so Bill shows us where he got it. Oh my goddness! Too many choices!!! Kid Tums had no problem knowing what she wanted while you can see in Elissa's face that she is afraid that bucket of popcorn is going to wind up on the ground. "Mommy, I am a big girl now" Karavanen! The course. Ka-Ching! Coaster Credit #793 for Big Mike! Oden Expressen! Long track. Turns. Tree tunnels! Real tunnels. Ka-Ching! Coaster Credit #794 for Big Mike! Time to go check out the parks brand new attraction - Vertigo!!! Wow, this thing does flips, barrel rolls, and even has a turbo button!! Big Mike interview time again!! This is a new Big Mike World record, 2 different interviews in one day!! This guy did not believe me that I was not afraid of this monster ride and that I would ride with my hands up! Here you can see that the ride turns you completely upside down, inside out, over and over again! A good shot that once you are way up top, this comes straight down to the ground, and it comes down FAST!!! The Danish TV guy wanted one more quick interview with Big Mike, as Big Mike bragged that he would dominate this ride for all of Denmark to see by riding the newest, fastest, death defying ride with his hands up! Big Mike, The Man, The Myth, The Legend, will go down in Danish folklore as the Man who came and conquered thier monster! After the ride, Big Mike was cemented in history as the best there ever was! Crowds gathered around and wanted pictures of the amazing dare devil in the gold T-shirt! Sure, as you saw if you watched the video, Danish TV did not want an American stealing thier spotlight, so all of Big Mike's interviews were left on the cutting room floor, but everyone there that day knows I came and conquered! As a bonus for reading the Big Mike Road Show, I will let you in on a little secret that I have never told anyone yet... That Danish interview lady came back after hearing of Big Mike's heroics and said she sooooooo wanted The Big Man after that, and I turned her down flat! After that insane ride, we needed a rest so we all watched KidTums try to win some prizes! Kid Tums was great at catching the pink ducks! After that, we went to the balloon dart game. Just so happens that Big Mike used to run a balloon dart game on the Seaside Heights boardwalk back in the day! Everyone is happy that KidTums was cleaning up on prizes! Time to show you some other rides around the park: Verteran Bilerne Dragon Boats Panda We sent the USA Expert on these type of rides to see how it was. She liked it! Bumper Cars Minen Indoor boat ride. Interestng penis theming. The fun house was a big hit! Lots of fun slides! Fun bridges. Crazy steps. Spinning floor craziness! Too crazy for Tom! They even had a rolling barrel! Only here at The Big Mike Road Show can you get such exciting pictures! If I don't have 50 Elissa Fanboys commenting that I am thier God at the end of this report, I will be disappointed! One of the nicest carousels so far to date. Can you guess which one Big Mike wants to ride? The giraffe! I have a great friend named Shannon who told me back in the day to always name who you are riding, so the tradition continues! This is Renee, since giraffe sounds a lot like Girard! Even a nice little trolly ride! When you are used to riding a whole bunch of kiddie coasters, Big Mike is not ashamed to ride the kid trolly either! Since we are at Tivoli Gardens, you can tell by the name that there is going to be some nice scenery, like these fountains... ... and this statue... ... and this theming... ... and other things like sea turtles. Big Mike loves sea turtles!! Crabs, not so much! So, Big Mike had heard that Tivoli is best known for the beautiful lights that come on at night, so Big Mike was going to wait until dark. Big Mike not knowing much Dutch just figured that this sign meant there was a topless bar in the vacinity, and Big Mike was going to relax there for a while. No such luck, but I did find the Copenhagen Hard Rock, and I thought of my good buddy Rick. Yay, the lights are starting to come on! Sure, Big Mike puts up some funny, pretty, comical, and informative trip reports, but if you have ever been on a TPR trip with Big Mike, he is also all about getting candid pictures of all the other trip participants. So if you were on this trip, or if you were not and want to see some of your favorite TPR personalities, I will put up a whole bunch of personal pictures in a few days, keep an eye out for them! It is sad that I can't even remember if I was at this park or not without looking at the trip report lol. My memory is shot! I like the comments on You Tube of the slides where they said to watch "the fat guy" KidTums is growing up to be such a cutie, so adorable, and loved watching her enjoy the trip... especially waking up from a nap to ride the butterfly coasters without even a thought of complaining!
