  1. Thanks for catching that! I think it's fixed now... I agree, should be interesting to see what they come up with! The map says it starts early July, so we'll know soon enough.
  2. That does't make you crazy... What makes you crazy is the fact that you spelled Favorite with a "U." Jokes aside, I visited the park for the first time this season today, and it was pretty awesome. Got on just about everything including Steel Vengeance (which was sick), and met some cool people on the rides! In addition, I got the chance to ride WindSeeker for the first time ever (I always skip it) and I have to say, I enjoyed that much more than most rides in the park!!! I could lap that over and over again. ERT on windseeker? Yes please! Anyway I could see the construction sight below, and although not much was going on, there were pipes being laid in the configuration I artfully drew below. I think it's for a stage, considering there is also a new show called "Fire and Ice" next the beach, and the H12 block apparently has a "Lakeside Stage." The next Van Gogh?
  3. Ouch... not something they need on opening day. Have they been running 3 trains?
  4. Awesome trip report, and looks like you had an incredible time!! Really looking forward to the summer!! However I have just two quick questions. Probably a weird question, but how does the landscaping and the actual ride plaza compare to other plaza's in the park (i.e Gatekeeper or Valravn). Is it just "There" or are there some aspects that stand out? In addition, after riding Steel Vengeance multiple times, are there any elements that you really enjoy more than the others? Tony Clark said he loved that bank over the brake run, but were there any that you found were completely bonkers?
  5. If you look at the Lakeside Midway section in blue on the right side, it lists the "Lake side stage" in box H12, the previous location of the Stadium. I take it that some sort of stage will be built there and finished sometime in the Summer?? EDIT: Here we go
  6. Totally agree with this statement! It was awesome to see it from a "coaster enthusiast" side, super fun and exciting to read! However, I think the biggest thing I took away from the review was this sweet picture of Tony!!!! If you are reading this Tony, you should really frame it!
  7. Good question actually... that got lost in the hype for Steel Vengeance. If you look on the live stream, you can see the boardwalk almost complete, and can see them doing something with the area where the stadium used to be. On a side note, Cedar Point has released a real picture (not a "rustic" one) of the trains on their Twitter.
  8. ^^Awesome Trip Report! Sounds like you had an incredible time! All of these reviews for TT and Kings Dominion is really hyping me up for a trip to KD... Can't wait.
  9. I wonder where they got the Steel Vengeance shirt when Cedar Point isn't even open yet for the season. Which Cedar Fair parks are selling Steel Vengeance shirts? Or is someone selling fan made shirts online? Cedar Point was selling them during Halloweekends last year in some of their gift shops I believe.
  10. I think DC can learn a thing or two from this... Batman the Pirate? I think Six Flags is on to something.
  11. According to the Park's Blog Page (In one single discrete sentence in the middle of the page), the Peanuts Playhouse Theater is being removed. I believe that this is the one next to Loggers Run... https://www.cagreatamerica.com/blog/2018/full-steam-ahead
  12. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that in a video (I don't remember which) someone discussed that rows would be assigned in a different room than the loading station, then would be shuttled into the trains as fast as possible in order to keep the trains "Always moving." Interested to see what effect it has on capacity.
  13. Cedar Point updated the construction pics for Steel Vengeance on their website... check them out. https://www.cedarpoint.com/explore/steel-vengeance For all of you wishing for the entrance to be underneath the inversion, your wish has been granted!
  14. ^I've been on TPR for 3 months and I already expect it. It looks like an incredibly fun ride, not super intense, yet still disorienting and crazy enough to make it something that I would ride over and over again... super pumped to ride it!
  15. That Twisted Air-Time hill looks absolutely terrific, especially at the pace that it is moving at. On a side note... Were those people on the lift pushing it up???
  16. Max Air and Wicked Twister are probably your worst enemies. I consider myself a relatively skinny guy, yet those rides still seem too cramped for comfort.
  17. Sounds weird, but you could book a room at the Great Wolf Lodge for 30% off if you order within about a week and your trip is before May 25... 80 Dollars for a Night and a water park sounds pretty sweet (at least for me ) https://www.greatwolf.com/mason/deals/spring-getaway?ctcampaign=7071&ctkwd=great%20wolf%20lodge%20ohio&ctmatch=e&ctcreative=255105324673&ctadpos=1t1&ctplacement=&ctlocid=9017217&cttrgtid=kwd-3538191241&ctfeedid=&ctnwk=g&ctdevice=c&ctadgroup=46940863850&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIgcq6lb7b2QIVCLnACh0tGQ-QEAAYASAAEgLptvD_BwE EDIT: I did more research on that... It's not 80 Dollars... More like 300. Oops.
  18. It all looks delicious, but uh, how are you supposed to eat the Long hot dog? A fork?
  19. Probably one of the coolest pieces of theming I've seen with Cedar Fair! They seem to have put more effort into theming with this ride, from the trucks to the trains to the tree. Excited to ride!
  20. I'm still waiting for a gourmet Mac n Cheese bowl place... From that same article though, they're changing their marketing slogan to "A place like no other." Definitely an interesting choice. I much prefer the "America's Rockin' Roller Coast.
  21. Whoops, you're right... Sorry about that. Must have just glazed over it.
  22. Haven't been able to get around much in a while, so my list is pretty long too, but heres a few: 1. Fury 325 2. Kumba 3. Cheetah hunt 4. Skyrush 5. Montu 6. Alpengeist 7. Literally every single RMC ever made 8. T-Express!!
  23. I'm pretty sure the one out on the Chaussee isn't actually owned by Cedar Fair / Cedar Point, if that's the one you're referring to. It's a residential property. It may be residential, but the land parcel is listed under the ownership of "CEDAR POINT PARK LLC"
  24. So they aren't closing it?! That's awesome!
