This is 100% not true. It is exactly the same as all other impulse coasters. There is a reason that seat belts are a certain length on coasters, and I'd think enthusiasts would understand that. If restraints are too loose, the rider would be able to slip out. It's not discrimination against fat people, it's safety...In order to accommodate larger guests, the entire seat would have to be re-designed, not just having the belt lengthened. Also, I've mentioned this a few times, but it's worth mentioning again: The seats on Wicked Twister are NOT THE SAME. The restraints have warped over time to where some seats will accommodate larger guests with ease and some won't even fit skinny people. The two seats I know are most accommodating are (Car/seat) 6/4 followed by 8/4. The LEAST accommodating being 4/4. Try it! This may sound a little bizarre, but there are also "methods" to fitting into seats at Wicked Twister. If you're a "well endowed" woman, so to speak, either squish together or put one out the side of the restraint. I've seen it done. Also, men if you have a gut, lift it up. the most pressure you'll experience with the restraints is low on your stomach. Long story short, the more of your body you can fit through the front of the restraint, the more easily it will buckle. Simple as that. If the belt is still a little short, don't just try to smash yourself in with the restraint, it won't work. -

Physics. If the train is empty, it has no momentum and will slow to a crawl before it reaches the LSMs. If it is full and it's a hot day, it will power past the brakes and straight onto the LSMs. Any ride will stop much later loaded than empty. Simple physics of inertia. I feel like you answered your own question there...the park only has 7 coasters. Maybe they have the time to deal with lights and effects. The maintenance at CP works hard enough to keep the rides RUNNING. Be thankful for that. -

^^Not quite so. The main reason is drive wheels, which work by friction. On intamin coasters, they are the only way the trains can fully stop. Otherwise they'd bump. The only coaster with purely magnetic function is Wicked Twister, and you can expect it to be open in light rain. -

Wicked Twister is made by Intamin though, not B&M. Please read in context. My comment was about changing wheels on Gatekeeper. -

Look, hour long waits for rides aren't a bad thing. There are days in July where the wait for some rides gets up to 3-4 hours. If you have a positive attitude about it, then you'll have a good time. Plan what rides will be most important to you and just ride those first. Then later in the day, you'll have extra time for re-rides. If you want to ride a million things a million times, buy fast lane. -

^Millennium Force and Gatekeeper. Today (a Monday in May) they were over an hour. Estimation is never a good thing. Crowds on certain days are literally impossible to predict, so just play it smart. Expect something like long lines during the day at every ride and short lines at night on every ride. -

^The thing about bad wheels at twister is that it brings the entire ride out of operation, so it is a necessity to change those right away. Replacing 'types' of wheels is very low on the maintenance list, especially since B&M wheels are made to last a very long time. They would only change a wheel if it went bad. -

I hear a lot of people saying things along the lines of "I'm disappointed they haven't fixed the restraints," but if I remember correctly, during an interview with Sandor about Skyrush, he mentioned not changing restraints because they prioritize safety over comfort, and they know the tightening is uncomfortable but they still see it as the safest choice. I would think most manufacturers think the same way. , especially B&M who RARELY try new restraint types. I imagine the wingriders were equipped with hydraulic locking mechanisms because there's no mechanical way to release them so far away from the track so they're released electronically, which even still seemed like a big jump for B&M after equipping all previous types with mechanical ratchet locks. Honestly I would never expect them to change anything about them. Unfortunately this is what these rides come with, so...enjoy what you've got! On another note, I think my favorite visual part of this ride is the eyes. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] I also love the double seat belt on the test seat so people know if they can ride in all the rows or just the middle (Photo and video thanks to PointBuzz) -

Do B&M Wingcoasters use hydraulic locking systems? Not sure since i haven't been on one just yet Yes -

^I can assure you they have put their most experienced ride ops at the ride. I know most of them personally and most of them have worked at Raptor or Magnum. They know how to move fast. Cedar Point, unlike certain other parks, prides itself on operations. You will not be disappointed. Expect an average of around 1100-1200 riders per hour. -
