Hey I cut my foot open on that trip, at Holiday World, after a trip to first aid Elissa asked me if I used the band aid that they handed out. I used that one the next day as my foot opened up again in the morning. Seems like I'm echoing here, but what's the point of having a business if you aren't having some fun. Seriously Robb and Elissa run a very excellent events and tours, I've done a few tours and many events (WCB). They set rules and enforce them equally without bias or favoritism. (trust me on this, I missed a bus on a tour). I have seen them sacrifice time to make sure things are going well. Spending time with park management to make sure our ERT went well, Lunch was set, Spending time shooting video and pictures, for our trip videos. They really do so much behind the scenes to make sure it goes well. These are just a few things I've noticed, after the trips were going. Plus all the pre-planning. But sometimes every coaster for ERT just breaks down And the hotel has no power, Crap happens but it's how they deal with it that is so Impressive. I know I didn't see it all as I was off having fun. I look back at those trips and there are some great memories there, well worth it. Sad to see a few have destroyed something so good. On the lighter side After all some times "it's all about Brian" that really was a great Trip. Dws_57

Well I got up there a little before 2pm. headed straight back to see the Tigers in the odin temple. Started at 2. wandered around a little went to the butterfly house, shark encounter, and sea lions and manatees. I don't think I've ever seen V2's line that long. We decided to go check out some more animals and find out about the swimming with dolphins (friend was interested) then made it down to Medusa 40 min wait not to bad. Up to see the Shouka show, grabbed a Boomerang ride Last one of the night then off for ERT. only had Sky screamer, Medusa, Cobra, and Kong open. Well we decided to do the Sky Screamer an hour plus a couple later we were off. over to Cobra then Medusa for a quick couple rides, then Kong for the last one. All and all a pretty good day even with the crowds Sky Screamer will definitely be a hit. (in my opinion) Also the Deadlies were there, same band from media day. Had fun pretty good day didn't see any one wore a TPR shirt just in case. A pretty fun day even though pretty crowded for both the regular day and the event. (even though it's not dark at 8pm) thanks SFDK for the fun go BIG Dws

hey all; could some one verify that the upload is working I've seen few others trying to upload the last couple nights we are all getting change "test1" to whatever video name the file is. I did a Quick Search I didn't see any video's uploaded after 10/22 The Problem could just be in the chair here too. But I didn't have any issues a couple months ago when I uploaded my other video. I tried a 224ma last two nights no luck (deleted) tonight tried a 15 ma file a couple times today, Iamb leaving it up so you can see the error for a day or so. UPDATE I see Robb has been successful from Wisconsin So maybe it is on my end Hmm. Thanks guys Dws

This is a longer than usual closure on the Giant Dipper, normal is December, back open for holiday break. I think your right that they do this every couple years. Just I haven't made down there much this year. ^This weekend is the first annual chili cook off on Saturday, if it turns into anything like the Clam chowder cook off's the board walk will be jammed but most people are there for the cook off though. Expect big crowd on the walkway in in the arcades but the ride lines should be moving pretty good. (something the boardwalk is really good at doing) for most rides. The lower capacity rides you might be waiting a while. Have Fun, I may try to get there for a couple hours on Saturday. Dws_57

Any one else notice on the Boardwalk operating calendar that on Oct 30 they go to limited operation Not surprising as that's the time of year for it. But click the link (for the limited ride list) and the Giant Dipper will be closed from then till February 6. That means Oct. 24 will be last day of operation for the GD. Time to get down there for a few more rides on this year. Dws_57

Bay Area Bash! Six Flags Discovery Kingdom!
dws_57 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wow what a Day!! Still in awe of Josh getting 6 rides on Medusa during morning ERT. I got 3 and taking my time. Dolphin show, Elephant show morning tigers, Winning a lion hat. TPR trivia and Water carrying on Tony Hawks. Great meeting some new people and seeing some trip peeps from trips past. Finishing the night with a solo ride on Roar. Roar's ride operator saying "what so great about THBS I'll throw a cup of water on you if you want" I'm still laughing about that. It's really good to see the park and staff improving. Having fun with their jobs. Keep up the good work SFDK. A big thank you to Robb and Elissa for setting this up and making it all happen. You are awesome!! Dws -
Hey All; According to today's mercury news. The coaster made a bad noise before it stopped, on the way up the first lift hill. "According to witnesses". Also says they shut down many of the other attractions too. Here's the link to the local Mercury News story. http://www.mercurynews.com/breakingnews/ci_13031694?nclick_check=1 At least the west coast trip people got through there OK. They went on Sunday the 9. Hope they all got the credit. Dws

Wow the new paint on Nighthawk looks good. Last year the green was peeling to reveal the red stealth colors, all over. Cobra also looking good, looks like a nice addition to the park. Those restraints look comfy too. Glad to see Afterburn getting some love. It was running really good last year. Sounds like it is delivering this year too. Photo #3 It's hoping good. Who let Robb buy fireworks? Dws_57
