A news article says that The GC-whatever will be discussing the new ride Thursday.

^I agree with just about everything execpt for the viper station, if you have a station that is literally falling apart, and not to mention this is one of the parks main rides, I think it should be adressed.

It says "equipment" meaning new ride, not ride upgrades right? *Edit* The town of Darien will have a planning board meeting tomorrow, will they discuss this new ride?

I am almost sure that the article said "help with the costs" or something like that, and they didn't get an addition this year which means all the more cash.

So all the boats are out, probably to be put in the maintenance garage though. This is a ride we should keep a watchful eye on from now until closing. Is the second hills conveyer gone?

I think its an Intamin flume but I could be wrong. Grizzly Run and Shipwreck Falls are both Intamin so maybe I'm mixing them up. Its also the oldest ride in the park. Thunder rapids is arrow I belive, and I think intamin or Hopkins or somone could refurb it.

Earlier in the year during silver bullets hiatus, it was running a weird cycle where it would raise its arm but not spin for a normal ride duration (no one was on it ). Also thunder rapids did close way earlier then any of the other rides, but that was probably due to maintenance. Then again take ride ops words with a grain of salt, we need more details than just: "Oh yeah thunder rapids is leaving and getting replaced " Why would they replace a ride that has a constant wait, that is also a ride that most people can ride because it's not too intense and not to boring, if it's having mechanical issues I'm sure another company that does log flumes can fix it.
