http://www.prnewswire.com/mnr/sixflags/23741/ Here's the link!!! You will find the video they ran on the news feature this morning! A little more in depth, but then again I think we are getting similar versions of most showed on the video and some exact versions! As far as getting 10 new rides in this section 2 are coming from the old luney toons town section at the front of the park, Train track will be different and shorter than where it used to sit kind a figure 8, you can see on the photo in the earlier post ! Also The kid planes will also be from the old section! New to the section but not new to the park!

Repainting of the tower begins probably next week! Waisted some money there did they, what will be interesting how quickly they get the tower painted before opening. Fox 2 the local news here had, video of the rides going in, NOT exactly what was Mini Cups has 6 cups! The one they showed was like Disney land or something a larger version! Looks like they are cramming alot of rides in this little area. With Wood Fencing around the attractions! NICE, Lets see how long they stay natural then painted black to cover graffiti, hopefully this never happens. Thats what happened to the boss, but I dont see little kids with sharpies or ink pens either. A new link will be posted later as soon as they post the video! Pics below were taken off the news cast of Fox2 our local news station!, A look at the Bugs Bunny town, you can see the Taz tea cups in place. Pic taken from FOX 2 news cast on my TV this morning! Sorry for the quality, I know they are not the greatest, but at least gives you an idea of things happening! Tim Ezell from Fox 2 News, High above the park on top of the Tower! From Fox2 broadcast picture taken from my tv of the news! A view from the top, as potrayed on the news this morning looking toward the front of the park. Picture taken of my TV of FOX 2 New this morning! Not the best but a little something!

Shapiro visits SFKK

Weren't the 3 original 6 Flags parks SFOT, SFOG, and SFoMA? Yes that are the oriiginal SF theme parks. I was wrong in thinking 2 left, I was thinking Astroworld, wihich was the first constructed park Six Flags bought already in operation in 1975. Over Texas and Georgia and Mid America now St. Louis are still alive St. Louis needs some catching up to do in the Coaster Department! No excuse for one of the mother parks for SF to have less attractions than the first three! St. Louis has lots of room to expand to the east of the park, and hopefully we will see a new section coming in the future instead of the land being sold! -

I think their was a couple of choices in MO, but I remember as a Kid that the one was south of Rolla, MO in the middle of the State. And at one point the SF over Mid America now STL, was a lot like Disney. At least some of the attractions. -

Where they will be used the most, HA HA HA HA, what a joke. Parks cannot grow without the installment of Certain Coasters or Flat Rides and really on the coaster side. My home park SF St. Louis, is one of two original Six Flag Parks left out of 3 that started it all, and the love has not been good to STL over the years, Yes we have a new Waterpark. At least nothing was removed except for a section of parking lot, people movers would be nice to put back on the shopping list! The river ride similar to Disney jungle river cruise, a great family ride kids love the jokes, was lost to Thunder River and Mr. Freeze in the middle of the Island, the list could go on and on! We have undeveloped property that new attractions should of been put in, instead of destroying park history. I like Shapiros ideas of themed attractions like Disney has and was once like our park was hope they turn more of our park, I believe in Change, but with so much land undeveloped here, this park would compete with Great America which was a Marriot Park originally and not SF and was a nice purchase by Premier Parks, then the attention started to fall away from the original dream to sculpted parks already in existence. Six Flags Should concentrate on making more of the parks equal on ride formats but not copys or the same ride of something else they have in their parks ride list of all parks. We can only have too many Goliaths! The idea should be based as going to this park because they have "different Coasters", Flats are pretty well the same in the park, themeing different, But Coasters are unique, no 2 woodies are alike, there is something unique about them. I just hope he works on the marks in the Midwest in bringing them up to the same amount of coasters as MM and Great America, Please!!!! -
Yeah the gum roof syndrome seems to frequent many parks. My personal feelings of the coasters is for the parks to have a variety of different rides not the parks having the same type of ride or mirror version. My home park is St. Louis and enjoy the use of the season pass and drive to Kentucky Kingdom, for the different variety of rides than at my home park. Chicago is the same way although they have Batman a mirror to our parks, I think maybe close versions or similarity but different altogether, another words don't have the same ride at a park that can be driven to in 3 hours. I think STL is in need of at least 3 new coasters to compete and to raise the industry standard to other parks in the system, but not the same version! A hyper, a spinning, and a flight or Standup like Chang!! Replace the crappy one we lost to an accident. Then we lost a mine train that was then sold to Dollywood, and the accident track converted from the mine train to rail blazer was now fitted with the mine train cars and revamped as the mine train! Back to sit down and the other track was then closed and sold! Although we are getting a nice family package, it is well intende for families with young children, Shapiro can't forget about the families that go to the park with a teen and a 8yr old. The park has to also change for those families and also unless with an adult, children under 16 not allowed without Adult supervision! And if the destruction of park property does not stop, make it 18! Then your responsible as an adult! The parks was a great place for a family to go to and can continue with the move they are making. But the fact of the matter is, you still have families that have strong values and love the Giants of Hyper coasters and visit the park as a family, and continue with satisfying the whole family and not just the ones left for the park to babysit!

I have posted a picture of the eagle getting a much needed paint job, you can see the contrast of the new paint on the first hill after the drop going in to the camel back run. The hill is painted but the camel back is still being fitted with new lumber in places down to the turn and on around, also the break run has new paint also. Looks like she will be all white for the parks 35th Anniversery! Steve And tje break run is a little brighter! Theres the horn boys, time for lunch. These guys were working the other end fixing loose decking and supports! But lunch time time to fill the fuel tank! lol The top of the first hill after the drop. She is definately white. Zoom in a little closer now for you! See the contrast of the new into the old! A Bright White!!!

Well here is one of me just last week about the third section of the New Drop tower in St. Louis from the back of the park service road between SF and Greensfelder Park, Lovely hike through the woods to catch some lovely shots of the new to us Drop Tower "Acrophobia" . No I was not tresspassing, if you look over my left shoulder you will see a sign that marks the boundry to NOT CROSS! Trust me, park Security is very nice and we have established this. Behind me you see the Chlorine Tank, which is behind the eagle. Me at SF STL behind the scenes 1/2006

I agree about time for a new ride, I have ridden KK and Chicagos version this will be higher than Kentucky's and I think the same as Chicago's. This will be by farr the best at the rear of the park and the awsome view from the front of the park. Steve As far as the announcement, A few are thinking now it will be Feb. 1st and invite the media since the tower will be complete, dont know about operating, but you would think so. Green piece going into place! Check it out more at : sfstl.net midwestinfoguide.com
