  1. I think last year of two years ago they added a top spin, which never has its jets on. The park looks good from outside, but looks kind of run down on the inside. don't get me wrong the park has a select few great rides, including sidewinder, outlaw, and space shot, but Dragon is killer anywhere you sit. They haven't had another coaster since the 90's! They seriously need to make a call to Stengel, and pronto! I feel no need to take the hour and a half drive out there. There's nothing special to the park and I as an enthusiast get bored after a few rides on outlaw, which is the only coaster I ride.
  2. I hate it when the parks are in hyper fast mode. I never got that, or atleast the rides are. GR
  3. well, i see it as the train as wings if you will on the sides of the trains, (manta ray wings) and those wings would "cut" through the water, not splash. This would get the riders close, with nothing more than a sprinkle.
  4. I've always that about that affect on a dive machine. only having one side of the train dipping into the water. None the less this ride is gonna be sick!
  5. ^lol. I saw someone do that when I was there, it was pretty entertaining. While standing in line for Titan at SFOT and someone asked me if it went upside down. I told them to look up. I started laughing and just told them no, it doesn't.
  6. How do we sign up for being riders? And what parks exactly are all in this charity event? Is there a certain day this is happening at the park?
  7. I got on one ride in 4 hours. I think i'm obligated to say i was fairly pissed and disappointed with my, "experience." I also waited an hour for a freakin turkey leg and curly fries, which were rather blah. Also the bathrooms were rather dirty, and quite unsanitary.
  8. yup. never went back. A lady at the hotel said she was there from 11:30 to close and got on only 4 rides. Titan was 5 hours, Texas Giant was 3, Batman was 2 1/2, freeze was closed when we attempted it, and even the boomerang ad an unbearable wait time. I'm kind of mad that we spent 30 bucks to spend more money and ride batman. The lines were ridiculous! They should seriously keep a low minimum so you can at least get your moneys worth. The whole day was a complete waste. But enough about my complaining, I'll have pictures by tuesday.
  9. let me just say that you texans aren't nice when it comes to merging. we waited 15 minutes to merge, and 45 minutes to even reach the start of the off-ramp. It was complete chaos trying to get anywhere, the midways were FILLED with people, you couldn't even walk in a straight line without bumping into someone. but enough about the complete insanity, here's a quick update. Left the house around 9:30 a.m. We got to the off ramp, and waited about an hour to get onto six flags drive. after waiting for so long, all the kids jumped out and walked the rest of the way to the park. get up to the gates around 10:45 and head straight for batman/mr. freeze, both 2 1/2 hour waits. we get in line and get yelled at to put all of our stuff in lockers, so i hide my camera. we get in the station, ride the 30 second batman, not worth it, but they wanted to wait. after batman mr. freeze was closed fro a maintenance check. i felt bad for the guy watching the entrance, he had about 50 people ask him when it was going to open and he didn't know. after that we went around the park to find a papa johns and the line was a half hour just to get in, so we passed and decided to wait 15 minutes for turkey legs. We got into the titan line and come to find out, it was a 5 hour wait, so we waited about 2 hours and got too hot and tired so we left, and waited 30 mins at the local gas staion for my aunt, and now i'm here. my cousin sister and I are going back aroung 7:30 and hopefully the lines will be cut down about 50 hours. so for the five hours we were in the park, we got on a total of one roller coaster. i'm guessing just about everyone from texas was there. it was seriously ridiculous. So when we go back in about 3 hours, it'll be a lot less busy, but I don't go to parks this big that often so someone should let me know if the lines will have changed at all by then. so let me know asap cuz we're going back in just a couple hours. mitchellPaul
  10. Just so we're clear, the park will be open friday, right? cuz that's the only time my family wants to go.
  11. This Friday, my family is heading out for a 5 day Texas trip and we're spending some time at Six Flags Over Texas. Few Questions: 1. What rides are worth waiting for, and which aren't? 2. is the park packed on Fridays? I know everyone will be out for Spring Break so I'm a little worried. 3. Is Tony Hawk anywhere near opening? It says spring '08 but not specifically, and we all now how updated SF is. So expect tons of pictures! This will be my second visit, but not in a long time. I barely remember it, and I can't wait to ride Goliaths sister.
  12. lol, she read it from some website. and if you know so much about canada & what not, you think you could spare some time to help me out just a little bit?
  13. okay, well I'm thinking I need a lot of help and advice on this trip. Also my friend said you could bring up to 200 cigarettes with you, but idk for sure. mm porn!
  14. HAHA I think I may need some help... anyone willing to help a man in a time of need? and when we go, I'll be 18, if that makes any difference in the "fun" factor.
  15. that's all a span of three days, and the whole trip is nine days, i think we have more than enough time! and my friend told me that the West Edmenton mall, w/e was in Toronto. AGH! we're so screwed! I have to idea what's going on, and we have no idea how much this is going to cost, that's why it's so far away. I'm glad I had you guys to point out all these flaws. HAHA, i feel so stupid! and paying to get on and off the interstate in Chicago was ridiculous!
  16. yup idk how we got six hours the first time, but i saw mapquest said eight, and were not going to Toronto for a day, more like four. We're staying at the Glen Rouge Camp grounds. We've got Canada's Wonderland, the CN tower, Edmenton mall, and we're planning on hitting up clubs. (anyone know the ages for clubs/drinking?)
  17. Okay, so yes it's quite a ways away, but I'm just too excited to keep it all inside. Me and nine friends are taking a senior trip to Chicago and Toronto. We got a lot of stuff figured out but we're still in the works of making reservations in Toronto. We're planning to stay at a camp ground for $20 for three nights. We're hitting up SFGAM in Chicago the day after we arrive, also heading to Navy Pier and museums in the area. after three days in Chicago, staying at a friends house for FREE, were driving six hours to Toronto, and hitting up Canada's Wonderland. Which is where you guys come in. I'm not familiar with the park. I'd like to know what rides they offer and if it's really worth the trip to the park. I'm pretty much set on it b/c behemoth is coming, but I'd like to know what the park offers if you've been there. I'm totally stoked and any info on CW would be much appreciated! Itinerary so far: -leave Omaha at 6am -arrive in Chicago at 3pm -Navy Pier -Sears Tower/Downtown -Art Institute of Chicago *Day 2 -Gurnee Mills Mall -SFGAM *Day 3 - ?
  18. have had a couple of girlfriends, last one freshmen year, and have recently come out to my friends and parents, and on sibling, being my sister. It really bugs me though, cuz everyday my mom tells me I should date my best friend. It's weird, cuz she's a girl and I'm just not like that.. anymore HA!
  19. the ONLY problem I can see is the turn into the brakes. The transition into the mcbr is shaped differently in your version. take a look below... compared to this...
  20. You picked some great bands to do that charity event. The park looks amazing! I'll be waiting for the next update.
