Mystic Timbers is going to give on heck of a night ride. Hold on there Beast, the new guy might just give you a run for your money. I personally found a Prowler (WOF) night ride better then the Beast one. Give it about 3-4 years to get the awesome GCI roughness and it will whip you around through that forest. -

Another thing to keep in mind. VF typically only runs one train on almost all coasters on weekdays. So you might want to expect to wait longer than necessary. -

If you can't handle a Morgan hyper are you sure you really want them to expand their coaster offerings to include more cutting edge rides? If I were you I'd be clamoring for more benches, carousels and for them to consider offering pony rides. Oh how I love you coasterbill, never leave please. Speaking on the new coaster. Personally (being a person who goes to VF every year) the park if fine. A B&M would almost ruin the aesthetic of the park. Aside from Steel Venom, it's like walking back into the late 90's early 2000's when i walk through that front gate. No other park gives me that feeling. And as soon as anyone says A-Land (home park) is a destination park, you've lost your argument. -

There's no room for this type of rational thinking here. Top Thrill Dragster. Announced January 9th 2003, opened May 4th 2003. Come on, if your going to make that argument you need to see that they've done this before. Not saying OH ITS DEFINITELY OPENING IN 2017 MY NEIGHBORS DOG BLAH BLAH BLAH... To me though it just seems weird to put track in place and let it sit there in place for two winters especially at the rate its going up at. -

They probably do it so they don't have to deal with the horrid Minnesota winter. Blizzards, sub zero temps can be a b***h to build in. -

They are really going to work on that structure. It really makes me curious as to when they're going to announce the name of the "New Mean Streak". It also makes me wonder when they're going to open it. We might end up seeing a mid season opening on this ride depending on how much of the original structure RMC plans on using. -

Fast Lane Plus nullified your question a few years ago! I think Maverick will be the same deal, perhaps a bit longer, but it's not like it's currently some well-kept secret in the back in the park -- it's often 45+ min as-is. Expect lines. If anything, I anticipate the Valravn popularity surge settling like Gatekeeper did after two seasons, and that the crowd will remain focused on each of the big three Intamins, + the new hotness Mean Streak. Wow. Mean Streak and Hotness. Two things i never thought i would see in the same paragraph, let alone sentence. (Except the fire ) -

I'd plan a trip to a park that only had RMCStreak, Maverick, and Skyhawk. Let alone add in top tier rides like MF, TTD, Magnum, Raptor, ect... -

Even though its out of the way, I'm kinda suprised they didn't go "BOOMERANG, cause why not!" And speaking in terms of Prowler. I can see why that won't be open. Clearing snow off the stucture would be a HUGE pain. With Patriot, you won't have to do as much work outside of the running rails. All of the undelying track would already be clear. (I really hope that didn't sound stupid...) -

So.......... Who's gonna be the first person to post a coaster rumor? -
While taking a break from the larger investments has certainly made sense from a financial, and stability standpoint for SIx Flags, I definitely think they will install 20M coasters again, less liberally, when they are ready. And if they are going to do so, they'll do it in places like SFMM, SFGAdv, and SFGAm. Their largest and highest attended parks, where they're going to get plenty of ROI. And to the fellow who mentioned a Giga up there being more impressive looking than a Dive, you need to realize that you're saying that as an enthusiast. WE are more impressed with Giga coasters. GP will look at that, and say "Hey, it's just like Goliath, only higher!" Now, that's not to say it wouldn't be visually impressive, but from a GP "Oh man! Look at that! It's straight down! So scary!" perspective, a Dive has a lot more of an impact. At least that is what I have observed in regard to the GP response to Valravn. Yes they will eventually, Howvever it will not be next year. Keep in mind, they don't just spend money on rides and attractions every year, there's upkeep and property taxes on every park they have. That includes water usage power. That also does not include staff wages. SF has ALOT of parks. It'll be a few more years.

Are they going to relocate it to where Shoot the Rapids was? Hate me if yo want, but now CP needs a new true wooden coaster to smooth out their collection. A nice sized GCI like Renegade would fit into the park really well. -

Yeah, that doesn't mean anything. I'm sure Richard Michael Crosby was his real name and the initials are just a coincidence... Speaking of Mean Streak Closing, are you planning on a midwest tour anytime soon. Like CP, SFGam, VF, SDC, WOF, SFStl? I would love a chance to meet you in person at some point.
