^ and ^^ Not really with you I'm afraid. The coaster tool sounds great. Amazing even. but what use is an amazing tool if you only have 3 coaster track types to use it with. (even with loads of car types) It may be a good game, perhaps even a very good theme park management game. But it doesn't look like it will be a good Roller Coaster Tycoon game.

The old Schwarzkopf Jumbo Jet which was at Cedar Point between 1972 and 1978 has moved again. It's now at it's 6th park having had stints in Maine, Sweden and Russia and it's still going strong. Belarus isn't a country we hear much about on coaster forums and for good reason. The intensely secretive country only has a few coasters of note and perhaps the most noteworthy is this Schwarzkopf Jet Star which has just moved across the city of Minsk to Chelyuskintsev Park. It appears the coasters old home Dreamland is now closed and thankfully the ride was saved by Chelyuskintsev. Below are some pictures of the rebuilt Jet Star 3 / Jumbo Jet and a couple of the parks other coaster a tiny looping coaster of unknown design. Source: Onliner (Russian) via VHCoasters

New Triple Corkscrew Coaster.
Gutterflower replied to Gutterflower's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Not happy with having one Triple Corkscrew Machine Of Doom the Chinese have built another one. It appears to be the same design as the first one built by Zhippao Rides. Source This time at the snappily named "Wei Yi Mei County City Amusement Park" in Baoji. Shame that once again the ride is well off the beaten track so I doubt we will have any reviews soon -
That came out of leftfield. Going to do a thorough search for some more pics later. But for now a quick check found this nicer version of the rendering and some pictures of the new trains arriving. The rendering looks a bit different to the finished product. The back of the cars are certainly a bit higher in real life. The trains will also have on board music where you can choose from 5 tracks. S&S are partnered with Sansei in Japan correct? So I assume this would have been brokered through them in some way? Rendering of new train. Trains arriving at the park And being lifted onto the track Up we go!

I came across this pretty much unknown defunct park on my travels through the Russian side of the Internet and thought it deserved post for the English speaking community. Eden Park was a lovely looking park that opened in the early 1920’s in Prague, Czech Republic. The park had issues from the start due to its poor choice of location on the far outskirts of Prague and it’s proximity to a notoriously crime ridden neighborhood. However the park sported a truly enormous side friction coaster, a zeppelin ride and a water chute as well as the usual haunted houses and boating lakes common at the time. The parks survived for 20 years but visitor rate decreased dramatically in the 1930s and the park finally shut in 1946. The former site of the park is now a shopping center and football stadium It’s certainly a shame the park didn't survive especially as the roller coaster would have been one of if not the longest surviving side friction in the world. The original article can be found in Russian here, Along with a video of the park in action that’s well worth checking out. The entrance to Eden park The enormous Roller Coaster. The original article lists it as over 5km long, although this seems over the top. The park following its closure in 1946, Looking a bit overgrown. A closer view of the side friction coaster. Called "The Roller Coaster" A classic old Zeppelin ride with a water chute in the background. The Haunted Castle ride. The slide and carousel can be seen in the back and the boating lake at the front. The Colosseum hosted dance evenings. Another view of the Colosseum, Water Chute and boating lake

We were pretty much all wrong They were/are for the Blue Fire Clone at Wonder Island in Saint Petersburg Russia. Source -
No update this week it seems. They usually post the blog on a Friday. I was hoping the "interpretation" of there only being 3 coaster tracks in the game was wrong. But upon looking at all the screens we have. So far they've only show arrow style track and wooden track. I mean I could be wrong but you'd like to think there would be more than 2 types of track in screens from a game where coasters take up such a major part. Saying that. Back in 1998/99 Chris Sawyer didnt show off 45degree track until right before release of the demo. So maybe they have kept some things up there sleeve. I still doubt it though. Also a quick looks at that "Unofficial" screen suggests it is real. (The horror) Perhaps its just a prototype screen from early on. Maybe they based them on these trains

Fantawild Construction

The 4th (and as far as i know final) Gravity Group/M&V wooden coaster for China in 2015 has started to rise. The Other rides in Jinan, Wuhu and Zhuzhou are all up and should start testing soon but the Zhengzhou park isn’t due to open until the end of the year so has started later. New satellite images reveal a compact layout that is really well crammed on to the parks central island. Most importantly the ride isn’t a clone of any of the other three. There’s no ground based photos yet and it seems the Chinese are incredibly secretive when it comes to new rides so there may not be any for a while. I’ve also included an overview of the new park (The 2nd Fantawild in Zhengzhou) which shows at least one new water ride and a series of indoor dark rides and cinemas. There’s no obvious second coaster yet but I wouldn’t rule it out. Source If you want a good comparison between this one and the Jinan ride you can see just how different they are from this image. -

Sadly I can't watch the video but that's an interesting twist. I swear i remember S&S guys specifically talking about this ride specifically. But maybe I'm just getting confused/going mad (It happens). Sounds like a good change though. Especially with the drop tower included. The proximity of the ride supports to the drop tower should give a great sense of speed. -

Sorry for the double post but these were too good not to post. Here's another view of the Wuhu coaster seen above. That Inversion is stunning! -
Sex theme park is being built.

Weirdly China has tried something like this before with Love Land (Below are pretty much the only few pictures i thought just about apt for a family audience) Although the Chinese government stopped construction of the park before it was completed and ordered it demolished. So although Taiwan is sort of autonomous it will be interesting to see if this park makes it all the way through to construction. -

The latest MVR advert shows off part of the Inversion on the Jinan ride seen above. Looks very nice. -
EonTime World

A few more bits of concept art. Park does look really nice. Hopefully it lives up to the art. At least they appear to have gone with a Western manufacturer for the coaster. For those wondering Maurer confirmed they were building a spinner in Harbin at IAAPA but didn't give a park. While there is a chance this isn't it. I'm pretty certain it is since there aren't any other projects in Harbin that this would fit. -

This one's snuck under the radar a bit. Eontime World is a new park opening in Harbin soon. The park is designed by the Thinkwell group and looks excellent. Its located within a new shopping mall called Yontai City. The park will feature an indoor Maurer built spinning coaster which will have a dark ride section. Oddly the dark ride section is apparently in the middle of the ride. You can sort of see it on the bottom right at the start of the video and in the logo below. There's a lovely video from the thinkwell group about the park which explains the park pretty well. And it looks pretty cool. and more can be seen on their site. http://thinkcn.thinkwellgroup.com/projects/eontime-world-theme-park/ It appears to be opening in July this year. although construction shots are a little hard to come by at the moment.

Ocean Park Vietnam
Gutterflower replied to Texasbest2015's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Sally Corp have confirmed on twitter that the dark ride in the plans above is the one from HRP too. They said - Yes, the 20, 6-passenger ETF ride vehicles from NIWS are now at the Vietnam park. Freestyle abandoned the licenses once owned by Hard Rock Park. None of the original theming of NIWS remains. -
And finally a third park. This ones been on the cards for ages but it is now apparently about to get going Overlooking the new rocket launch site on the southern Island of Hainan the park will be space themed and called Hainan Space Park. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLDhka4oFNs There are 2 coasters expected including one Maurer spinner. The other is unknown but shows a mine train in the video.

And to go with that park we have another one in Shanghai called Polar Ocean World The plans suggest a coaster but of unknown type. The Goddard Group designed theme park is part of a much larger development. Oddly the impressive art work seems to bare little relation to the plans. The park is being built by the same people who own Discovery World in Dalian (Where Mad Cobra is now situated) Source

I'm just updating the first post with a few bits and bobs but there was some news yesterday. Huayi Brothers Movie World is a new park just announced For Shuzhou, China. (Shuzhou is a little north west of Shanghai) The park is essentially a Chinese version of Universal Studios based on Chinese films and culture. While it is obviously just concept art the art that has been released features a B&M wing coaster from several different angles. Is it likely to end up being a B&M? Maybe not but the art is very specific. The park will be build on the south side of Yangcheng Lake and is expected to open at the end of 2015. To be honest if they wan’t to hit that date they need to get a move on. Source 1 & Source 2

Ocean Park Vietnam
Gutterflower replied to Texasbest2015's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Found Time Machine. It's currently sat in Halong Bay in Vietnam waiting to be set up at a new park called Ocean Park. The park is owned by the same people opening Asian Park in Da Nang which has the other coasters from Hard Rock/Freestyle Track for Time Machine is sat waiting. An amazing location though. The park does look small. Can also confirm that all 4 of the other coasters are going to the Da Nang Park thanks to the plans posted outside the park. So even the Premier ferris wheel coaster is heading there. Source
