  1. Hey guys, We are only two months away until Mammoth and Invertigo open! I would go to the park and get some photos of construction but the park is getting very expensive to keep going a lot so bear with me. I did get a photo of Mammoth while driving past. It truly is massive, can't wait to ride it! I did get my hands on the specs of the two coasters as well. You can't see much but it is really shows how big this beast will be!
  2. Georgia Park is gearing up for its biggest year ever! With not one but TWO new roller coasters for 1995. The park has a history filled with roller coasters, including; Taipan, The Menace and Vortex. And now the park will have a future with roller coasters as well with the induction of Mammoth and Invertigo. These two new roller coaster experiences are going to help Georgia Park grow even more into a world class theme park. Mammoth is a mega beast of a wooden roller coaster! Climbing to over 150 feet, which makes it one of the tallest wooden coasters in history. We are also introducing Invertigo, a world first rollercoaster that will send you though 3 inversions forwards and do it all again backwards. While all this is happening you will be suspended underneath the track! It will be a truly on of a kind experience. Invertigo logo Promotional poster Mammoth Logo Promotional Poster
  3. Hey guys, sorry I haven't been to the park in a while, it can get very expensive buying a ticket every time! I found this article in the local newspaper today. Have a look yourself, 1995 is going to be an absolute monster of a year for Georgia Lake. The announcement must be very soon judging by the size of it.
  4. (Sorry about the long wait for an update, I got a new laptop and I finally transferred the park over) Its a new year and the park has opened the brand new Ghostrider Rapids!, Let me say that it is a very good expansion for the family and it gets you drenched. My advice is to wear a poncho as the big finale is very wet... Enough of me talking lets get to the photos! SCR1.BMP Here we are at the opening day of Ghostrider Rapids! The ride is very well hidden through the trees and behind Buzzsaw Falls. One negative is that the only way to get good photos of the ride is to line up or when exiting as non-riders aren't allowed on to cross the bridge. Another thing to mention is the shear size of the station is huge! SCR2.BMP As I was saying how the rapids runs through the trees and is very hard to see... SCR3.BMP And of course the big finale is this massive drop! I have never seen a drop like this on rapids before. You go really fast down the drop into the waterfalls (which get you absolutely soaked!). Overall very good addition to the park and will become a family favourite for many years to come.
  5. I love Arkham at MW, I consider it better than the B:TR clones... Who would of though that a SLC would be better than a B&M!
  6. Today was the technical rehearsal for Movieworlds new Doomsday! and the Villians Unleashed area. All photos below are taken by Adventures of Theme Park Girl. This new area has set the bar for theming in Australian Themeparks, it looks amazing!
  7. I'm so excited for Ghostrider Rapids! It looks like it will be really fun, I did grab a photo of the construction happening near Buzzsaw Falls. SCR2.BMP Construction where Ghostrider Rapids will sit.
  8. Hi If you don't know me my name is Fenton Reece. I have moved from Santa Barbra to Illinois for work, meaning I can't give anymore updates on Grizzly Woods. But my new home park is Georgia Lake! Let me just say this park is amazing, it was bought by Cedar Fair 2 years ago from Harris Weinstein (the same past-owners of Dorney Park). This was my first visit to the park and had done very little research either so lets check it out! Park logo SCR40.BMP Front Entry Plaza, very clean and modern. SCR41.BMP In we go! SCR42.BMP The main hub after you enter under the blue arches. It includes SkyView (Observation Tower), Enterprise and restaurant! SCR43.BMP There is the Georgia Lake! There is Buccaneer, Buzzsaw Falls and The Menace on its banks. The Menace, A 80ft tall Wooden Coaster with and out and back layout into the woods behind the lake. SCR44.BMP Let me tell you, The Menace is a very fun ride. Very similar to ThunderHawk at Dorney. SCR45.BMP I think it's really cool that Buzzsaw Falls goes through Menace! Next coaster up is Vortex, My first B&M and first Stand Up coaster I have been on. SCR46.BMP Very 80's style station but opened 2 years ago. This was the first investment Cedar Fair did to this park. SCR47.BMP Very twisted layout, I like Vortex. SCR49.BMP Keep going down the Boardwalk is a Carousel, Twister (Scramble), Lighthouse Slide (Slide) and Whirlwind (Magic Carpet). SCR50.BMP Also the park has; Putt Putt Gardens and Dodgems' SCR52.BMP Don't forget Grandpa's Cars, I very well themed cute family ride. Last but not least the biggest ride in the park, Taipan! It is a huge arrow coaster. SCR53.BMP Look at the size of it! No wonder they had to sell to Cedar Fair to get out of debt... SCR54.BMP SCR55.BMP That's the park, let me know what you think they should build in the future below. See you guys next time!
  9. How exciting! I should be their for the grand opening of Wild Woods. The 1989 attraction is going to be huge if construction has already begun! Wonder what it will be?
  10. Hi I'm new on the forums! My name is Fenton Reece I am 21 and my home park is of course Grizzly Woods. The park has been open for about 10 years and is a small family owned park, It is home to the worlds tallest and fastest wooden rollercoaster in history! It open 4 years ago and is an amazing ride. The park is home to 9 signature rides and has promised to grow into a world class amusement park. So lets get to the photos... If you walk through Pioneer Point you enter Gold Rush Country home to Mine Strike (Scrambler), Golden Wheel (Ferris Wheel)... Also Grizzly Woods has arguably the best themed water ride ever! Curse of the Lost Mine not only is well themed but has a spectacular splash finale. The parks 2nd coaster GOLD RUSH! opened with the park. Finaly my personal favorite part of the park, Lafitter's Landing. It's also the newest part of the park. Is that a Boomerang I see? Yes it is but a very special boomerang named The Red Baron. It is the first and only extended boomerang coaster ever built! Laffiter's Landing is also includes an Adventure Express Station (Train), Seven Seas Swing (Pirate Ship) and the Pirates Tavern (Restaurant) Right at the back of the park there is this new construction zone... hmm? What are they building? Here is the front entrance of Grizzly Woods! It's a very weird system they use opening the park, starting at 9:00 the front gates are open and then guest wait in front of the "Welcome" sign. 9:30 the rope drops and guest can move forward into the plaza in front of the ticket booths then at 10:00 the park opens and guest can buy tickets and enter. The first thing you see is "Pioneer Pointe". It used to be a camping ground and later turned into what it is today. Pioneer Pointe includes a very large Food Pavillion and the TotemPole sky tower... And of course the main draw card for Grizzly Woods... GRIZZLY! This coaster is 150 feet tall! That is insane, the coasters footprint is half of the size of the park itself. Very smooth and fast, this coaster is the best Dinn Corp has ever built. Its structure is really intimidating from anywhere in the park. Things To Do: 1. Grizzly - Worlds Tallest and Fastest Wooden Rollercoaster in History! 2. The Food Pavillion - Come over and grab something to eat in the enormous pavilion. 3. TotemPole - The views are breathtaking at the highest point in the park, take a journey 160 feet in the air. 4. Adventure Express - ALL ABOARD! The adventure express will take you on a senic tour of the woods surrounding the park and stops at Pioneer Pointe and Laffiter's Landing. 5. Mine Strike - Hold on the your gold as you whirl around on the thrilling Mine Strike! 6. Golden Wheel - Sit down and enjoy a ride the entire family can enjoy with amazing views all around. 7. Curse of the Lost Mine - Enter the abandoned mine where the ghost of miners before taunt you as you try and escape the mine, with a big splashtacular ending! 8. GOLDRUSH! - Yeehaw! grab on and ride in a mine cart on the oldest coaster in the park. 9. The Pirates Tavern - Enjoy an amazing atmosphere and eat amazing pirate themed cuisines 10. The Red Baron - The newest ride in the park will take you on an insane flight through 3 inversion forwards then do it all again BACKWARDS! 11. Seven Seas Swing - Take on the seven seas as the storms a brewin'. The ship is going to need your help to make it through the storm.
  11. what is that on the far right of the table? is it a piece of wood perhaps! Probably not though.
  12. How do you know its going to be a Mack coaster?
  13. Thats fine! Enjoyed doing it.
  14. So I arrived around 5pm for the last day for 10 to 9 operating hours. Also the last showing of Beat Box lightshow. The park was quite busy. Back in 2010 the park was awful. Staff that didn't give a shit, building falling apart. But in 2014 the park turned around and is the best it has ever been. Rides I did: 1x Moto Coaster 1x Gingies Gliders 1x Skadoosh Bumper Cars 1x Hotwheels SideWinder 1x Shockwave 1x Giant Drop 1x River Rapids Then saw the show, it was great but the DJ was really unnecessary but I'll get back to that. We are here! The new Dreamworld Globe The new icecream parlour looks amazing The main food area has been given a facelift. One of the two yellow racing themed coasters with multi colour trains at Dreamworld The Toddler area has been redone to ABC kids world. One of the best themed areas of DW Looks good, but the ride is sickening. Kungfu Panda area is really well done Best themed Bumper Cars ever! Tailspin! My record is 78 Motorsport Precint is the newest "world" Better theming than when it was Cyclone Um don't know what this is... Cars... Boring but hey this could make a great Dark ride building! It's getting dark! Donkey! For most Aussies it's strange riding rides at night. Show time! Fire!!! So the "DJ" must be good if they can mix with a piece of paper
  15. I am taking my family to the US in June for the first time and are heading to SFMM. I was wondering how long would the lines be around then. We are going 1 day between the 8th to the 10th of June. We want to attempt to do all the coasters at the park. Should we get the Platinum or Gold Flash pass. The problem is that the platinum is a lot of money. Do you think we could do all coasters with a gold?
  16. Yeah I know. I downloaded a blank scenario park cause I am even worse at landscape editing.
  17. I will start with a little bit about my self, I'm Greg Hiffley. I am 27 and I live about 5 minutes away from Grand Adventure here in San Diego. So I went to the opening of Grand Adventure and boy is it fun! I took some photos so I hope you like them. Grand Adventure is run by a small company called B.A.C. Parks (The two founders Brandon and Cooper) They have built this park in just under two years! When I was at the opening the parks manager said that big things are planned for this park so keep an eye out. Well lets get to the photos then! SCR18.bmp So here is the park entrance, it's a bit weird but hey its a new park! The white building in the back is the Food Pavilion, YUM!!! SCR21.bmp This is the first midway in the park which includes the Lake Carousel, The Sun Wheel and one side of the Chairlift. SCR22.bmp This is the parks main attraction, Splinter. It is huge and the first thing you see from the carpark. SCR23.bmp This 100 ft beast gives a great ride. SCR24.bmp Walk across the bridge to the middle of the lake is an island which is home to the Enterprise, Rowboats and a Circus! SCR25.bmp The last area on the other side of the Lake is heavily wooded area with a Log Flume (Lake Plunge), a Scrambler (Twister) and the other side of the chairlift. SCR26.bmp And a view of the entire park! The lake is the centerpiece of the beautiful park.
  18. Hmm that coaster looks familiar... ^Jet Rescue, Seaworld Australia
  19. Right now Arkham Asylum at Movieworld AU but it might change when the Cyclone at Dreamworld is refurbished and turned into Hot Wheels Hot Lap coaster (With new restraints!)
