Funny... I had that same cool idea for Hurler. My idea for Hurler is Iron. -

I've got a really cool theming idea for a wing coaster: It's called Arson, and it's themed to a dragon (who blows fire out of his mouth). The station can be themed to a mossy stone (kind of like in How To Train Your Dragon) or a Chinese/Japanese building, if you're going that route. The track can be dark green with dark red supports and orange accents. -

For some reason it never feels like I'm hanging when riding Griffon. It feels like I'm gliding over the edge and then plunging down like it really does. -

Just a refresher: LIFE CYCLE OF A "NEW COASTER" THREAD ON TPR 1. After months of rumors and speculation, the ride is announced. The ride is immediately hit with negative views because it didn't live up to the hype coasterboy2194210 had set when he heard from his friend's uncle that it was going to be a 900 foot prototype. 2. Complaints about: The name, the stats, the colors, the trains, and the station layout, sometimes all in the same post. This is based off a crudely done 3D video. 3. Random new threads pop up in the next few weeks, breaking the news of the brand new coaster, even though the original thread is probably still on the first page near the top. 4. People start complaining about the lack of construction, and wonder if the ride will be finished on time. 5. Construction starts, people start complaining about the lack of construction updates. No pictures from 2:35 this afternoon? But another piece had been put up!!! 6. Criticism over the differences between the constructed portions versus the concept art begin. Page upon page of bitter feuding on whether the angle of descent was incorrect begins. 7. The construction is finished. People start complaining about the lack of testing, and wonder if the ride will be finished on time. 8. Testing starts, people start complaining about the lack of testing updates. No pictures from 2:35 this afternoon? But another train has been cycled!!! 9. Someone rides the coaster and reports back. If the review is so-so to good, the person obviously caught it on a bad early run. If the review is glowing, the person obviously hasn't ridden many coasters. 10. The ride opens. The fanboys descend en masse, declaring the ride the best coaster to ever touch god's green earth. Wild claims are thrown out, like the coaster is able to cure cancer, and has ejector airtime even on the brake run and station. 11. A well-travelled, highly regarded TPR member finally rides it, and gives a good but not great review. Fanboys cry foul, saying the person rode it on an off-day. 12. Pages upon pages of comparison to every single amusement ride known to man ensue. 13. As more people ride, the reviews eventually settle into a particular area (bad, moderate, good, great, excellent) and people stop posting in the thread. 14. Meanwhile, dirt has been dug up somewhere else in the park...the cycle begins again. -

I have now gotten word from Dorney Park's Dipping Dots guy: Cedar Pount will not be building a diver coaster! They will instead burn the track on site and a 600 foot Polarcoaster will rise from the ground! -

I am wondering: should Intimidator get the new Intamin lap bar trains? I feel like even the seatbelt restraints, while very comfy, can chop your neck at times, especially that very sharp turn before the brake run. -

I don't care about the latest overpriced garbage CrApple is producing. All I want to see is what CP has in store for 2016! -

Still dumbfounded why they went with orange if it's Valravn. Wouldn't Purple and black (with possible hints of navy blue) fit better with the name/theme? -

I don't adore it really, to me Dominator is the best coaster at the park . Volcanos launches are really amazing though and IMO they are my favorite launches on a coaster. I think people think volcano is really good because they don't get to ride it as often because of the long lines it can get, and so they don't get bored of it as easily as they would get bored of a ride that is always a walk on. One thing I love about Volcano is that it's one of the smoothest coasters I've ever been on. No rattling or headbang whatsoever. Dominator does fairly well at that but you still get some jerkiness. I wish I could experience Volcano without a rattle... I've only ridden it in the front row though... Yeah, I've only ridden it in the back half because the line's already long enough, and I am not a patient guy, so no front row for me! The line is the same travesty in any row. I'm wondering if Volcano should get four across seating. I highly doubt the track is built to withstand those kinds of forces. Possibly 16 rows like the impulse coasters? (The station would have to be altered). -

Kind of. I went on Labor Day back in 2013 and it wasn't horrible but still sort of crowded. -

I find it depressing how much people are whining on Facebook about Dilerium. One of the stupidest statements I saw was, "under paramount we were a dominant park now under cedar fair they hate us only give us peasant rides" Okay, moron(s). Do you not realize that under Paramount (capitalization is your friend) this park was an asphalt ghetto for teens? It was trashy, ugly, tackily themed, and not nearly as pleasant as before 1993/after 2006. Now Cedar Fair has made it into one of the nicest looking amusement parks out there. Oh, and we also added Dominator, Intimidator, and Delerium, updated our aesthetics and waterpark, and opened a giant kids area while getting rid of garbage like Hypersonic XLC and Shockwave. -

I also love how professional Coaster Studios is. He's very chill and doesn't swear in his videos. Also he takes really good 60FPS footage! And stop whining about how he lies. He is accurate with his predictions 95% of the time, and even admits that he could be wrong. -
