My only complaint is why in the middle of people’s work day. I already booked onsite accommodations and now I’m worried that I may not get tickets because I have meetings all afternoon tomorrow and don’t know if I’ll be able to breakaway. -

Looks like Coastermania tickets are going on sale tomorrow as per Tony Clark’s Twitter account. Our #CoasterMania tickets will go on sale tomorrow afternoon. Remember: you must be a member of one of our partner coaster clubs to attend the event! -
^^^Yes based on the early illustrations and how they poured the pad, see two pages back, I believe it’s getting positioned to swing towards Joker and Mind Eraser. Seeing the size of the area during HITP I don’t think it could go the other way even if the wanted to unless they also moved Crime Wave some where else.

Already had permission so the right thing was already done. Added the additional info based on your request. As an FYI I’ve gotten to know the SFNE Online crew and they wanted to have the pics shared so that the TPR forum members could see what’s going on. Don’t really appreciate your assumption that I was trying to hide that fact. I’m not that type of person. I also really appreciate my relationship with Robb and TPR so in an instance like this I don’t look to add outside names when it’s already been approved to share. Hope that makes sense. Thanks.

Just a quick offseason update. Harley Quinn is on site and it looks like the area is just about ready for vertical construction. Looking forward to another great season! Pics courtesy of and used with permission thanks to SFNE Online. Looking ready for going vertical! Harley Quinn sitting in the employee lot.

Robb it’s really awesome to see you giving this another chance! Although I can’t do it now I do hope to be able to join TPR on one of these trips in the future. I can’t imagine a better organized and fun group to be with. Hope this is successful and that all those getting the opportunity to go appreciate all of the effort you put into them.

With John moving on to Great Adventure here’s the official press release from SF’s announcing Pete Carmichael as the new Park President of SFNE. AGAWAM, MA. ─ January 12, 2018 ─ Peter Carmichael has been named Park President of Six Flags New England, the region’s largest theme park, effective January 1, 2018. He succeeds John Winkler who has taken over as Park President at Six Flags Great Adventure and Hurricane Harbor in New Jersey. The announcement is a homecoming for Carmichael as he served as the Operations Manager & Director at the New England property from 2004-2015. Carmichael is an avid theme park enthusiast with more than 20 years of industry experience. Carmichael most recently served as Park President at Six Flags St. Louis in Missouri. He is committed to providing guests with exceptional thrills and customer service. “I am excited to rejoin New England’s largest theme park,” Carmichael said. ““I am eager to rejoin this experienced and passionate team as we continue to delight our guests with innovative, world-class rides and entertainment like the all-new Holiday in the Park that premiered in winter of 2017.” Carmichael joined Six Flags Entertainment Corporation as an operations intern at Six Flags New England during its branding year in 2000 and launched one of the world’s most lauded steel coasters, SUPERMAN™ the Ride. Throughout his time at the Thrill Capital of New England, Carmichael quickly rose through the ranks, holding a variety of managerial roles including Rides Supervisor, Operations Manager and Operations Director. Carmichael graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Commercial Tourism. During his career, he has participated as an instructor within industry safety seminars and leader within the company on several new initiatives and projects. The Official "TPR Coaster Poll" Thread!
Sluggo77 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Very cool to see this coming from TPR. I have to echo Canobie Coaster in the Great Escape Comet mention. Also I totally agree with Boldikus. Yes Mr. Skank Mountain’s comment about not grouping certain types of coasters. After riding SFNE’s Mind Eraser before the new trains and then this past season the new trains with vest restraints make a gigantic improvement. Otherwise this is looking awesome. Thanks for asking us to check it out! -

Yea I’d say the gold one stands out a little more! Awesome accomplishment for TPR again showing why this is the #1 theme park community. -
Yes you should definitely visit SFNE. For all the reasons others have already said. WC and Superman are worth it alone. If you’ve never been on a free spin The Joker clone is short but fun. The rest of the coaster lineup is solid. Even Thunderbolt is a fun classic woodie. Don’t skip ME / Riddler? thinking it’s going to be a rough SLC. The new trains added this past year with vest restraints have made it a really fun ride. You still get tossed around but no head banging at all. In April the park can get busy but nothing like the summer or fall so you should be able to ride everything even without a flash pass. Maybe just budget for it just in case.
