  1. So does that mean no Chance Hyper GT-X? Is MA the only Cedar Fair park that has a relationship with Chance?
  2. Exactly. Plus you can see the foundation for the training facility under construction. What is up with that junk yard in the back of the property? Are those the old Dodgem cars back there?
  3. No, don't recall it being blue when I was there a week ago. I imagine it's just the reflection of the sky. This is definitely a recent photo since you can see where they retracked Shivering Timbers.
  4. Are you referring to a Disk'O similar to CP and Valleyfair? Is there enough space in the old Falling Star spot for that?
  5. I doubt announcements would happen on the same day. They want maximum media coverage.
  6. On a separate note, has anyone noticed if Meijer still sells tickets? Haven't seen any around GR. Used to be on the display with CP tickets.
  7. But where is the kids area? The kids rides are scattered all over.
  8. I think the rising ticket prices are used to push guests to buy a season pass.
  9. That's unfortunate. I actually like Windseeker. And I'm sure the views are actually nice up there.
  10. Is there supposed to be a second train, or is that new building just to house the one train?
  11. I rode their swing yesterday and I was less than thrilled. Perhaps it's because I've been spoiled with trips to CP and Carowinds in the last month. Now when you say height is important, do you mean you want a 300ft one?
  12. A Windseeker where the Mini-golf currently sits would be a good location, if they are removing it.
  13. I feel like they are still understaffed. I noticed today (as I have earlier in the season) that they continue to have security guards acting as ride operators.
  14. Nice report. Certainly Shivering Timbers has been improved over the last couple of years. I think it's in great shape. As far as Wolverine Wildcat, I thought it was incredible smooth a couple weeks ago. Certainly much better than a few years prior. I'll be at the park tomorrow (Saturday) so I'll have to check it out again.
  15. That's fine. I just thought it was strange. And I disagree that the park needs more greenery.
  16. Does anyone know what the garden is for behind Timbertown Railway Station?
  17. Lighting seems possible. There were large sections of concrete along the retaining wall that were replaced and this conduit was in each area.
  18. I was at the park on Saturday. Noticed a bunch of conduit along the pond. Anyone know what this is for? Not sure how long it's been there.
  19. Yes, but small townships like Dalton don't have online search capabilities thus you'd probably need to submit a FOIA request. Speaking of Carowinds, I was there last week for the first time and was pleased. Fury325 was great and Harmony Hall as well, which has me wondering whether Michigan's Adventure could handle live entertainment. Harmony Hall has a small, but adequate, stage where they did a country show and had a brass marching band walking around while guests ate from the cafeteria. And while the show wasn't performing they had a large video display playing FunTV.
  20. They really do have plenty of room. Not sure if they are able to build over that trail (old RR) or not, but could be neat. I think the challenge becomes how do you connect the 'remote' land to the rest of the park. Obviously extending the path near GR is needed, but would/can it connect near Shivering Timbers? The train is nice, but it's inconvenient to wait 15 mins to get over there. Also, don't think it would be the worst thing in the world to remove some of the parking lot along Whitehall Rd, if needed.
  21. On a separate note, does the park use that property across Riley-Thompson Rd that they own? I believe at one point it was overflow parking. Does the parking lot ever fill up enough to need it?
  22. And really, depending on the layout, the coaster could cross the RR track, like Millennium Force does.
  23. I could see them extending the path in front of the train station near Grand Rapids (where the current smoking area is) to the east. Seems like the only way to access the east land unless they build a pedestrian rail crossing.
  24. Looks like there are a couple of companies that do (Mack, Intamin, etc.). I was just thinking about Logger's Run this morning and how I find it to be one of their signature rides. Could they, perhaps, build a new flume over near Grand Rapids and then pull a CP and redevelop the current site for a new ride?
