  1. I wish they would be more active on social media.
  2. This must be the first year. I just did a quick query and it looks like most of the CF parks are doing this, though not necessarily on this same day. Also, most of the parks include admission on both days, but not MA. Worlds of Fun claims to have 200 spaces, versus 20 at Michigan's Adventure.
  3. Just noticed the park is doing a Coaster Campout event in a couple of weeks. https://www.miadventure.com/events/things-to-do/special-events/Coaster-Campout-7-23-15-20?mobile=0
  4. From the website: "As the afternoon heat begins to settle, stop by the BBQ for an all you can eat feast! Hotdogs, Hamburgers, BBQ Chicken, Macaroni & Cheese, Corn on the Cob, Macaroni and Potato Salad, Potato Chips, Fresh Fruit, Ice Cream Cups, and soft drinks."
  5. For Backyard BBQ, you can buy tickets online. Kids are 7.99, adults 15.99. I have All Season Dining so I can't eat there, but I have in the past and thought it was a great value.
  6. Here are 2 beer gardens. One in the water park and one where the Go-karts used to be. When I was there 2 weeks ago, they had a few Leinenkugel and Perrin options on draft. Maybe Bud Light too, but I don't drink that. They have a ton of bottled options though. They've actually had a couple of "tap takeovers" this year with local breweries.
  7. ^ I agree, but would settle for a Disk'O. Just not sure where it would fit.
  8. That's not a fair assessment. They added Prize Wheel this year.
  9. I agree about the back seat. What do most of us do for admission? I have a Platinum Pass with All Season Dining.
  10. ^ yeah, I notice that as well, but seems like that's the only trouble spot.
  11. They probably don't even know what snapping is.
  12. Haha, you may be correct. I don't really foresee a Halloween event there. But Valleyfair does have Halloween events.
  13. Exactly. And as I understand it, CP is also growing some kind of pumpkin patch. Seems strange.
  14. I'm still really interested in this pumpkin patch near Timbertown Railway.
  15. ^ Likely. I went first week of June. A tad chilly and drizzly. No crowds. Definitely would go back same time next year.
  16. I also went to Carowinds for the first time back in June. I was impressed. It's quite clear that CF has invested a lot of money into the place. Harmony Hall is a great place.
  17. In maverick_cp's defense, this is the page they were referring to: https://www.miadventure.com/what-s-new
  18. I was at the park yesterday and noticed they were now saying "Scan. All clear." before dispatching rides. This is similar to what I experienced at Carowinds in June. There they say "Station clear. Scan. Dispatch." Saying "scan" appears to be a change since I was there a week and a half ago.
  19. As a Platinum Passholder, I certainly would not like to see the park sold. Cedar Fair gets a lot of my money by owning this park, and as a customer I think it's a great value.
  20. A conveyor would be great. I'm just not sure how feasible it is because of the angle of the hill. Looking at Google Street View in the water park, looks like the conveyor would need to be quite high in the air, unless it can change angles halfway up the hill. That would be a nice place for a bowl slide. They don't take up much space after looking at Carowinds' variant.
  21. I was at the park last Monday, and it wasn't busy at all. I should mention that I didn't arrive until probably around 4pm though and I didn't go to the waterpark. Most rides were walk on. But my favorite ride, Lakeside Gliders, was closed. I think the water park has a lot of room for expansion. There are probably some attractions that could be retired. Also, it's unfortunate that the main wave pool isn't located further back. Maybe (1% chance) they'll dismantle that pool and rebuild it, similar to what they did at Kings Island. At the same time, the amount of land they cleared for the training facility seems like overkill. Maybe they are planning on moving parking to that area so the current parking lot can be used for other things.
  22. Are each of the Cedar Fair parks self sustaining? Meaning do they use their own reserves to pay for new attractions?
  23. Well that is unfortunate. A Disk'O would be interesting, although after I rode CP's on Friday, it took a couple hours to recover. I certainly would like to see some new food options, particularly ones that qualify with All Season Dining plan.
