  1. If we could get both of the soon-to-be free agent tornadoes, that would be great
  2. I did notice miss dig flags in this area a couple of months ago
  3. Thank you for correcting me on 2015 vs 2014. For some reason I was thinking it was currently 2015 or maybe I meant it was announced in 2014 for the 2015 season. Nevertheless, you'd think they would have done something for 2016, and they didn't. So far, nothing for 2017. I didn't personally care for the interactivity of WMG. The ride was fine, but the video screens were not good. Maybe I'm spoiled cause I went to Universal Orlando the year before and rode their fantastic dark rides.
  4. I just have this feeling that Cedar Fair is done with Triotech. Maybe I wrong, but I find it strange that they haven't done any since 2014. I've been on WMG, and it's not that great. I'll be at KBF on Wednesday, so I'll try out theirs.
  5. I know the wounds are still fresh, but now that Wildwater Kingdom is closing, any chance Michigan's Adventure will get any hand-me-downs?
  6. I would like to see better food options at the park. You look at the great selection at the other CF parks and it makes MA look like McDonald's.
  7. But the difference with Cedar Point is they offer a unique Halloween experience to differentiate versus the rest of the year. The only benefit of announcing now is to drum up season pass sales.
  8. Please don't take this as me being too optimistic, but, since the park's operating season is done in a few weeks, might not be a good idea to tell people about a new addition coming next year as it might lead to people delaying a visit, although next season doesn't start for another 9 months...
  9. Oh haha, guess that works. I've tried their websites, but they are rather simplistic, last I looked. When I was at the park last weekend, it didn't look like they've made much vertical progress with the building, just moving dirt around. Of course, I didn't go up close and inspect. Was looking from the water park.
  10. Is there an online building permit search? I've been following along with Valleyfair's upcoming annoucement and doing general surveying of maps. Noticed that they used to have "Hydroblaster" like this park does, but was removed for SC expansion. I could see that happening at MA as well. There's a lot of space there for true water park slides.
  11. Last i heard about 6 weeks ago, the deal to hookup to the county waterwater system was close. Dalton Township approved an agreement on May 9.
  12. Nice trip report! Sounds like you had a great visit. You bring up a good point though, and it's something I never realize: I go to this park so frequently that I take for granted a lot of what it has to offer (the lake, the scenery, the rides). Glad you enjoyed yourself though! PS, I agree with your recommendations for future rides
  13. Someone mentioned on the previous page about a new maintenance building. I was at the water park today and noticed a large area behind the employee training center that I assume is for this. It's cleared, but don't see any foundations quite yet. However, it is very encouraging!
  14. Tuesday's episode of Bert the Conqueror features Michigan's Adventure. Travel Channel at 8pm.
  15. Honestly, I don't think the lines are going to be too long for anything, especially this early in the season. I would save your money.
  16. I didn't end up riding it because I knew there was a storm coming and wanted to leave beforehand. But they were running both trains, although I didn't happen to notice if they were loading both. I've seen them run both but only load 1 before. Only rode ST and the train yesterday.
  17. The crowds were very scarce. I arrived a little before 1, and left by 230. Corkscrew was closed, and Thunderhawk was as well when I arrived. It did open right before I left though. Most of the food stands were closed, which I guess is due to not enough employees working. It started raining around 2 o'clock. Also, something about ST's return to the station is different. I don't know how the braking used to work, but now the train moves 2 inches and stops, and this just keeps happening until it comes to a complete stop. It takes forever.
  18. Opening day photo report: Funland Farm (I tried taking these in a way to get context clues from the background objects): In the last image, you can see it was built around an existing service drive between Giant Gondola Wheel and the parking lot. There used to be something here. Maybe a game or something: As I mentioned in a previous post, Jr. Go Karts was indeed removed: (Hard to tell in this photo. Area was closed off)
  19. I admit the vest restraints are better. Maybe I just don't like boomerangs because I get nauseous going backwards.
  20. No Boomerangs and no Time Warp, please. Maybe I'm just being too optimistic, but the whole water treatment situation interests me. I feel like there's something big coming soon.
  21. That is an outdated map. Notice Pepsi. The map is usually under Plan a Visit, but they must have forgot to put it back on after switching out the '15 map.
  22. 10 more days! Looking forward to all of that airtime on ST.
  23. According to the 2016 park map, Junior Go-Karts has been removed.
