Thank you for correcting me on 2015 vs 2014. For some reason I was thinking it was currently 2015 or maybe I meant it was announced in 2014 for the 2015 season. Nevertheless, you'd think they would have done something for 2016, and they didn't. So far, nothing for 2017. I didn't personally care for the interactivity of WMG. The ride was fine, but the video screens were not good. Maybe I'm spoiled cause I went to Universal Orlando the year before and rode their fantastic dark rides.

Oh haha, guess that works. I've tried their websites, but they are rather simplistic, last I looked. When I was at the park last weekend, it didn't look like they've made much vertical progress with the building, just moving dirt around. Of course, I didn't go up close and inspect. Was looking from the water park.

Is there an online building permit search? I've been following along with Valleyfair's upcoming annoucement and doing general surveying of maps. Noticed that they used to have "Hydroblaster" like this park does, but was removed for SC expansion. I could see that happening at MA as well. There's a lot of space there for true water park slides.

Nice trip report! Sounds like you had a great visit. You bring up a good point though, and it's something I never realize: I go to this park so frequently that I take for granted a lot of what it has to offer (the lake, the scenery, the rides). Glad you enjoyed yourself though! PS, I agree with your recommendations for future rides

The crowds were very scarce. I arrived a little before 1, and left by 230. Corkscrew was closed, and Thunderhawk was as well when I arrived. It did open right before I left though. Most of the food stands were closed, which I guess is due to not enough employees working. It started raining around 2 o'clock. Also, something about ST's return to the station is different. I don't know how the braking used to work, but now the train moves 2 inches and stops, and this just keeps happening until it comes to a complete stop. It takes forever.

Opening day photo report: Funland Farm (I tried taking these in a way to get context clues from the background objects): In the last image, you can see it was built around an existing service drive between Giant Gondola Wheel and the parking lot. There used to be something here. Maybe a game or something: As I mentioned in a previous post, Jr. Go Karts was indeed removed: (Hard to tell in this photo. Area was closed off)
