  1. Worlds of Fun announced today that the helix of Timber Wolf is being replaced with a "high-speed, over-banked, 70 degree turn". "
  2. I would go to Safari first, we did that at rope drop, short line. We were able to get fast passes for Flight of Passage, but 60 days out. The lines were super long to that. But it was sooooooo worth it. We even stood in line during the extra magic hours without a fast pass for it. Best part of our trip!
  3. Worlds of Fun Winterfest has the ice skating as well.
  4. I'll bet if you asked most of the people who voted in the Golden Tickets they wouldn't even know what Flight of Passage is. They probably would think it's some B&M Wing Rider at a Happy Valley park. We really need a new "Mitch Hawker" style poll so we don't have to rely on a "best of" list that is a complete fucking joke. I rode both this summer and Mystic Timbers is a much better ride. Seriously? I rode both this year as well. Flight of Passage was amazing! Definitely deserved best new ride over a GCI wooden coaster that is similar to several others. I mean, Mystic Timbers is great, but nothing special and not best new ride of the year.
  5. Haunt is my most favorite time of the year to visit Worlds of Fun!
  6. With their latest tweet today, the tweets together spell out "We Own Fear". So just promoting Haunt.
  7. So what is up with the latest tweets from Worlds of Fun? Hinting at something??
  8. Worlds of Fun will not be busy on that Monday or Tuesday. Everything will be nearly walk on with little or no lines.
  9. The busiest time for this park is on Saturdays during Haunt and it is crazy busy. Spinning Dragons will have the longest and slowest moving line, mainly because of the capacity of the coaster. If you arrive early, definitely hit it up first and get out of the way. None of the rest of the coasters should have too bad of lines. Mamba will be longest, but they have the best operations.
  10. It was closed on Saturday when we went, and they had an employee sitting in front shooing people away. Could have been due to weather though, as it was pretty stormy when we were walking by. It was open on Sunday.
  11. The park will be busy. It closes at 7pm so the 50+ live theaters in Branson can be filled with people for their nightly show.
  12. Vittle Griddle is now serving LC's Hamburgers.
  13. Worlds of Fun just teased on Facebook that they have something else to announce for 2017 and the announcement will be coming soon.
  14. 2016 Haunt website is up! www.worldsoffun.com/haunt
  15. Always great to hear good things about the park. Prowler at night is a lot of fun!!
  16. Yes, Fast Lane gets you to the station (bypasses the queue lines), where you then can choose your row.
  17. We went earlier this year. You're not missing much. Your money is better spend elsewhere at Silver Dollar City or Holiday World, unless you plan to visit Cedar Fair's other gems, specifically Fury 325 and whatever park it's in. On that note, If given the option, I would scrap our entire park from Screaming Eagle to Justice League for a clone of Fury 325, a beer stand, and a porta potty. You can even sell off the rest of the acreage to be used for the worst smelling landfill in the country and I would still visit at least once a year, as opposed to the current park. Tell us how you really feel. But seriously, I pretty much agree with all of this. We swore it off after 2007 due to a series of terrible visits, where they just simply couldn't get their sh*t together. I'm not one to require that everything be to my liking to enjoy a park, but when every little thing from the entrance to food service to the state of the rides is just that bad, a park I loved on the 90s had just become no longer fun. I'm sure experiences like mine were part of the reason for the 2010 bankruptcy. We gave it another chance in 2014, since gold SFStL passes were the same price as one day at SFGAm (weird Six Flags pricing), and I really wanted to experience Goliath. I was very impressed with the improvements to SFStL, and we kept the membership for last year and had a good time. This year we opted for Worlds of Fun with their new children's rides, and everyone has agreed it's been a far more pleasant experience. Their dining plan is headache free, and I never could say that about Six Flags. We paid about twice all told for the Worlds of Fun season pass than we did for Six Flags, but we've also used it about twice as much too. For us, both places are about 3 hours away, so the choice is clear. I agree. I live in Central Missouri, so equally close to all 3 MO parks. The last several years, we haven't even visited SFStL. But have rotated season passes with SDC and WOF.
  18. It sounds to me like a similar situation to what we have here in Michigan. Even if you live closer to Michigan's Adventure, you're often much more likely to go to Cedar Point, or even Great America, than you are there. Now, if they were to get that Hyper that SFStl wants... Michigan's Adventure was a fun little park. I had Platinum passes this year, so after a trip to Chicago, visited MA, before making trips to Cedar Point and King's Island. I know you all would love a new coaster, but I just don't see the park having the capacity for one. Everything was walk on the day I was there. But was nice to see all the coasters running multiple trains, even with it being slow. Sure, it's a "fun little park", and if that's all it ever is, so be it. I don't buy the capacity argument for a second though, and Holiday World (and Knoebels) debunk that notion quite nicely, actually. If it were still an independently owned park, it'd actually have a lot more to do. The potential is there. But it's exactly what CF wants it to be, so... Regardless, my point wasn't that it's not a nice little family park. It's that it pales in comparison to another park (or two) nearby, which is the situation that SFStL finds itself in regarding Holiday World. I was just meaning that with their attendance, it doesn't justify adding a big new coasters. I know it is almost a catch-22, attendance low because of ride selection...need new coaster but attendance is too low.
  19. I would recommend Cyclone Sam's as a must ride that isn't on the Fast Lane.

  21. Thanks! Thanks! I will probably do Spinning Dragons then Boomerang. I want the credits but I doubt I'll want to re-ride either so it'll be nice to get them done for the day and move on. Thanks! It'll be hot but I am used to it down here in Georgia. Probably, yes, especially considering Fast Lane Plus includes the water park. The only way I would consider not doing so is if the dry park had walk ons at all the coasters. I doubt it'll be that empty considering it is a Friday and they have $19.99 Bring A Friend offers going on. Coming from Georgia, we usually get Fast Lane Plus at any Cedar Fair park if there are any lines at all. I know it'll help extensively in the water park at least. Thanks! Any suggestions on best food? I would definitely recommend starting with Spinning Dragons. It is by far usually the slowest moving line of the coasters. Fast Lane + will definitely help at Oceans, especially the newer slide complex, which tends to have long lines. As for food, my favorite in the Taco Truck in Oceans or Santa Fe Street Tacos and Panda Express in WOF.
  22. He has been at Worlds of Fun the past two years for Haunt. The last two years the show was similar.
