  1. Sorry is this is a repost as I got an SQL error. The Schussboomer would be an awesome legacy name well fitting for the front entrance area as its location was in Scandinavia. The boomer part of name would well fit a launch coaster if we were to receive one. From Wikipedia....Schussboomer was a steel wild mouse roller coaster at Worlds of Fun theme park in Kansas City, Missouri. The ride was dismantled in 1984. It was named after a skier who schusses, one who skis fast and straight. Wikipedia
  2. Oh almost forgot. The crew on SFNE thread were very helpful. Thanks for the suggestion.
  3. Well one thing is for sure. We know 2 of the 4 things. Possibly the third in a new entrance. Maybe it's a new dipping dots stand with a light show added! Would they announce a new coaster/entrance combo this year only to build the coaster starting next season for 2018? It would spread the capital expenditures over two years. Call me crazy just my two cents.
  4. Lake Compounce looks good. Phobia looks awesome! Thanks for the input.
  5. Hey all! Moving to the area and wanted to know the best parks to visit besides SFNE. I'll be around the FT Devens area, West Central MA.
  6. WOFanatic, yes you did. Is there a delay when posting? Do the moderators screen messages first before releasing? Sorry, for the misunderstanding. Anyhoo, whenever comments are made on Cedar Fair properties WOF, Dorney, and Valleyfair seem to get lumped together. So what your saying Phantomposter32 is that Valleyfair and Dorney are landlocked. WOF and KBF are not as far as footprint land size footprint? One last item. Would anyone recommend SFNE since it looks to be the closest to my new duty station. The rides look awesome. Lake Compounce, and maybe some smaller parks. Suggestions?
  7. Other than Carowinds....the rest are small parks. Guess we will have to wait and see.
  8. Thanks for pointing the date out, but would kindly read the top post of this page? Phantomposter made a comment on previous page making me realize I misread. So I then publicly corrected myself at the top of this page. So I guess I'm not the only one that doesn't pay attention.
  9. It does say the 18th. Good it will work out. I really can't wait to here the news. Will have to make a trip on leave back to KC next year. Thanks for pointing the date out in a nice way Phantomposter.
  10. Although I am very excited about the news conference tommorow....it may be in WOF best interest to delay. The tragic loss of life at Schlitterbahn today needs some time in respect for the family IMHO. Especially since the incident is local and related to the industry.
  11. Enjoy the park! I'll be out doing ARMY for three weeks....wishing I was there
  12. Nevermind, lol the site corrected the time. Scrub my inquiry.
  13. Insiderman my apologies as I forgot to thank you for the pics. Your time stamp was 0600. Do you live on the west coast?
  14. It's like knowing we are getting an awesome Christmas present and jdk what is it yet. Even though the park has to follow a certain decorum of corporate rules we are in good hands. IMO Mr. Ouimet is taking the entire chain and fiscally turning the parks on thier head. He also seems to care about the regional aspects pertaining to each individual park brand under the large corporate umbrella. My gut tells me we are in for a phenomal year of surprises.
  15. True, true. The cars would fit fine in Americana Section.
  16. You know Taxis next to Blood on the Bayou would be good themeing. French/Cajun it would definitely work!
  17. Afterthought, dark ride with mythological themeing and we are the Centurions battling the beasts!
  18. Been keeping an eye on KIVA KC for permits and trademarkia for any new copyright names....unless Centurion is being picked up by WOF. It's been quiet on both those fronts.
  19. I think we all be down with KD size as a natural progression.
  20. Not to long ago on WOF page they stated the thrill seeker were not forgotten about. Also, could it be time the park is cresting the small park limit and Cedar Fair wants to push us into the very low end medium size park venue?
  21. Along those thoughts a Disko Coaster would be a great addition.
  22. I'm glad someone got a chuckle out of my comment. Guess you could say it was seriously funny
  23. What if the new attraction was a modified cookie cutter ride into a "different experience". For example....up the lift and roll over the first set of hills. Then drop into the enclosed building. Add strobes and lighting effects. Wa-La and SFSL just added another dark ride unique to chain.
  24. Cedar Fair placed a similar banner where Valravn is being constructed. Thier list was coaster lineage though. WOF lists all Cedar Fair editions since thier injections into the park. Apples and Oranges in content with like formats. For the price point two flats, dark ride, and medium family coaster is not out of the question. The public is still sore about Zingers removal after all these years. I for one would love to see this void filled with something larger and longer than Spinning Dragons. I'm not dissing the ride because I love riding the coaster. The que line is usually long though. Enough hot air for now. Thoughts anyone?
