  1. Exactly what I was thinking! When I read SFSL on Screamscape coaster possibility and SDC hinting very heavily we could have a Missouri Coaster War! Seriously though it is VERY EARLY Quasi Advertisemenr for whatever WOF is cooking up.
  2. Yes, I realize that. It's all a matter of perspective. The picture angle makes it looked pinched.
  3. The area is really fleshed out! Looks awesome. View of TW is tight! The service road looks squeezed in now but that's not a big deal.
  4. That Krazy Cars building would be great for dark ride retrofit. Smooth floors and little modification to the outside. Anyone know the square footage of that building?
  5. I agree. Not only the snoopy ride you mentioned but most of the new installations are ope "airy" feel to their footprints.
  6. Anyone checked out the Triotech site? New tech called Maestro. No zap guns! It's hand gesturing.
  7. My apologies to everyone. Jennifer at facebook/worldsoffun/org is sending me some construction photos to help my memory. She along with others here confirmed the ride was new when installed. Not looking for attention or trying to stir things up. I really just remembered it wrong for some reason. Thank you all and again sorry,
  8. My brain must be on an alternate timeline...wrong Deja vu lol
  9. Well, I guess my memory serves me wrong. Thanks!
  10. Worked their in 2000 on my days off. Walked by when I worked at either Nile or Monsoon. I remember the gosh awful color green on track. The support color escapes me though. Maybe someone on the forum can help confirm the construction history of what I remember? Couldnt find anything on google.
  11. Pretty happy about this addition as well. How much service life is left in Boomerang? Used when it was installed in 2000. My wife suggested Condor and (possible) Premier Skycoaster II in this area if Boomer was removed. Funny the coaster is kinda part of landscape now. I tend to agree with the Condor in Europa camp. Troika in an area that needs traffic...
  12. That's why I wanted discussion....good idea fairy doesn't always fly when real world engages. Your right on a lot of your points. The park did so well with Prowler. The terrain woodie is unique to park, if a Tempesto clone could be made special somehow. Tunnel on drop, element not seen, anything to set the ride apart. Thanks for input, I appreciated the kind feedback.
  13. One more thought....a dueler Tempesto at a smaller height say 100' high. Hits the family ride checkbox, double capacity due to ride type, operation of one side on slow days, unique to region and park, etc.
  14. Does anyone know if Premier could make a juiced up Tempesto in a Gigacoaster size? This IMO could give the smaller parks a giga solution in a more manageable cost/footprint solution. Valleyfair/Dorney could benefit from this if Cedar Fair ordered 3 like the hyper coaster trio. BGW Clones for even smaller parks. Thoughts anyone?
  15. If they were not adding so much to Camp Snoopy next year.....would have fit well thier. Oh well.
  16. Does anyone know if Knott's Screaming Swing is being relocated to WOF? Maybe where Thunderhawk was located? Not sure of it's footprint. Since Omegatron's departure it would a good swing, even it doesn't go upside down.
  17. My apologies. It would not be the first time I have missed the point. Guess I am sensitive to forum bashing. By the way the name idea rocked....even if it was in jest.
  18. Some of us do fact check. Last time I was there it was still listed. Last time I checked this was a DISCUSSION FORUM for enthusiasts. While you may not agree with how registered users get that information is irrelevant to the matter. We SHARE what we know and being judgmental is not conducive to a friendly discussion environment.
  19. Thanks for the clarification on Thudnerhawk everyone. Even though I love to speculate its good to see facts on certain things as well. Does this mean another flat ride in the vicinity along with dark ride install?
  20. Im kinda excited when we get ours installed. SDC has oldies but good ones. My hope is that themeing is integrated well.
  21. In doing research on Knotts dark ride the ride length is 600' long. Now considering the coaster refurb being Timber Wolf and the family addition nearby the dark ride could be nearby. Still not sold on Thunderhawk removal though I could be wrong. Is the old arcade large enough to house the attraction? Would it need expanded? Would Cyclone Sams be possible with addition, and NO I do not want another removal. Relocation of Sams if they keep it indoors with a/c but just dont it happening. What building exists at WOF that could house a 600' ride or longer since I am speculating on one ride installation area. I would love to see a mild chance morgan coaster/dark ride combo similar to Canadas Wonderland. It would fill several needs for the park within budget, but it will more than likely be similar to Knotts in mechanicals only. Any thoughts on what ya'll think keeping within reason of WOF budget?
  22. Found this on the Travel Channel today. Arthur – The Ride is a suspended dark ride roller coaster at Europa-Park in Rust, Germany. The attraction opened in spring 2014 as part of the wider "Kingdom of the Invisibles" area themed after the Arthur series of books and films by Luc Besson. WOF could never afford the cost at 100 Million Euro, however, the Mack inverted powered coaster could still incorporate the Triotech screen elements seen at other Cedar Fair parks so far. Launched capabilities could enhance the ride even in short sections/areas. Something to think about.
  23. Yep, LA Times carried the story on Aug 6, 2015. Very good read.
  24. The disappearance of ZULU would sadden us all. However, im on a dark ride kick today. Forgive me for not remembering the name of the zebra stripe jeep ride similar to le taxi tour. Would it not be cool to have a dark ride with zebra stripe cars reminicent of zulu and zinger? Or "river type boats" used in africa. I wouldnt mind if the ride took a play from big game hunt and theme it like the shooter. Enhance the existing classic attraction its part of WOF history.
