I agree with all this completely. The park will continue to grow in some form slowly but surely. This waterpark expansion is already going to give us one of the best Cedar Fair waterparks. Once the next phase of the waterpark expansion comes it will probably put our waterpark right up there with Boomerang Bay at Carowinds or the Soak City at Kings Island. Not sure how big those are in terms of size but with these 6 new slides there is no doubt they will bring some good attention to the park. At this point, lets just enjoy the fact that we are getting SOMETHING to keep our heads up that the park is going in a good direction. I'm sure as the season goes on, we will see tons more theories and speculaton about current construction and whatnot which will make this thread a little more interesting and will bring more positivity!

I know the same topic comes up and we've discussed the B&M possibilities for VF a hundred times, but when I hear about the possibilities at other CF parks, I just get excited. Can you blame me?

With Cedar Point and Carowinds having their brand new park entrances with their B&M coasters, it is now rumored that Kings Dominion will be getting a new entrance with a huge B&M coaster, possibly a wing. Could anyone see the B&M invert coming with a brand new entrance after the Dinosaur's Alive contract is up? Or maybe even before that? I don't see how there could be any room with Dinosaur's Alive being there right now.

I can't believe I'm just finding out about this now. I'm a season pass holder and never got an e-mail about this. But I will probably have to old off because of the likely chance of rain as well.

Ugh, do we really need a slingshot? I mean the rip cord does just fine. I feel like a slingshot at VF would turn out to be a total flop like Skyscraper if anyone remembers that.

Yeah, last year that area was just used for some music performances, it may be just enough space for a small flat ride if it came down to it.

It just sickens me that that amphitheater has been there for so long and I've barely seen it being used. I agree with you its a good location for a dark ride. I also have a strange feeling the galaxy theater won't last long either but just my theory.

In other news, I heard that the new coaster at Cedar Point could be called Valravn if the B&M dive rumors hold up.

I just thought I would let you know, I went to SFGAm for the first time last summer and got on all of the rides that I wanted to go on without a flash pass. I didn't get on The Whizzer because it was near the parks closing and it started to storm. But I was there on a Friday in July. As long as you put Goliath first priority you'll be okay. For any other trip tips, check out the SFGam forum...I don't want to turn this into a six flags thread

If its your first time, be prepared for a 2+ hour wait on Goliath, totally worth the wait though!

I will be going on the 16th! I'm so excited! Anyone else venturing off to any other Cedar Fair parks this summer? I'm most likely going to CP and KI!

I try not to focus on eating when I'm at the park. The prices of those meals add up quick! I haven't been too impressed with the food the last few years. Last year, I had a hot dog from the food truck and then I had those cheese corn dogs (the stand by Riptide and Bumper Cars) and they were both still cold when I got them served to me. I thought maybe the employee's were kind of new and still trying to figure things out. But all in all, the food just gets spendy. Although, at Cedar Point last year I had the crab fries at Chickie & Petes which were amazing so I will have to try some at Valleyfair this year. Is the all season dining plan really worth it?

I'm just curious to see what garyman6's speculation about Chef Luis is.

Has anyone seen the new Cedar Fair website? It's pretty cool! I just watched the new "Who We Are" video and it looked like almost every park was featured except Valleyfair

I haven't gotten a chance to try the Banshee restraints, but I'm guessing they are the same style as the ones on X-Flight at SFGA? Those are nice. I don't think our B&M invert will be as long as Banshee but I'm hoping maybe a little bit shorter with a lift hill of at least 100 feet.

It's probably just false advertisement. Just like the valleyfair commercials from last year when they were showing clips of coasters we don't even have lol....ps i know cedar fair pretty much used this commercial for every park im just saying lol [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]

Do you think they will eventually get rid of riptide? Its just there is always no line for that ride and it seems like everytime I've seen int run at the park they never have the water running.

I wouldn't mind the new coaster having a color scheme like ripide. Maybe a teal/aqua train with an orange-ish track. Ugh riptide...not one of my favorite rides at the park but there is almost never a line so your guaranteed on right away.

I think the only time I would like to see Intamin back at Valleyfair would be if we could get a full circuit launch coaster. I know we have Steel Venom but that's just my opinion. But yeah, lately its seems cedar fair has been doing the most business with B&M so that's probably the best viable option.

I think I could see Centurion being named a dark ride. Not necessarily for VF, but if Cedar Fair is planning on bringing dark rides to all their parks, Centurion could be a dark ride with a roman theme. But no signs point to the name being used anytime soon.

Maybe if they get the B&M Invert they need, they will revert to they falcon: bird of prey rumor from back in the day. That wouldn't be a bad name for an invert.
