  1. ^ Do you see it returning at all next year?
  2. I think this is the general consensus among the public, at least everyone who I've talked to. In all 3 years its been open, everyone's hated it. So yeah, it needs to go
  3. Hey HWFan, a couple pages ago you mentioned that you were excited about a couple of the Mazes returning to Fright Fest 2016, and is there plans to remove any to make room for new ones? I was thinking that Slaughter House and Voided Vision might be, considering both started at 4:00 this year rather than 6:45 I would hate to see Slaughter House leave, because its been there since 2010, since I started going to this event, and was also the first maze I ever went into as well, so I'd hate to see it leave, especially since it was so stellar this year and in years past, probably my second favorite behind Blind Fury
  4. I've been hoping for years that WB buys back the Six Flags parks from Premier and starts making them what they used to be again, if Six Flags' current ownerships can't do it/don't have it in the budget
  5. Crowds must be insane around that area. You've got the Express and Normal Slasher Pass lines for Insanity Alley as well as the stage for The Dead Beats, the line for The Joker Inc AND the line for Ninja. Jesus.
  6. How cool would it be if they took those trains and set them up as part of a cemetery for dead rides (like what they do at Six Flags Great America)? I know that the boats for Scooby Doo as well as the Cab Company bumper cars are still hanging out somewhere so why not put them to use? I guess making some joke on a tombstone about Hurricane Katrina would be highly insensitive in Mega Zeph's case but you never know >I think it'd be kind of neat<
  7. Here's a cool picture from SFSTL's Twitter showing some of the Freaks this year on the pretty gorgeous refurbished train What I'm actually really surprised to see is that it seems like this year they're lending (or at least purchasing) latex prosthetics from California-based SFX company 'The Scream Team' (The company has also been doing the makeup for Six Flags Magic Mountain's Fright Fest for decades now) And if that doesn't signal that the event has some really strong years ahead of them, I don't know what does. I think HWFan mentioned that this year was a transition year so if that's how things are going to look from now on I'm already excited for next year Im also heading out to the park next weekend and curious to see of the haunts are as bad as everyone is saying they apparently are I thought they were all pretty fantastic last year except for Voided Vision so I don't really know how they could be worse this year, but I guess I'll wait and see (Also I hope I can get a ride of Justice League where all the effects are working properly)
  8. With Fright Fest 2015 just 5 days away, I thought I'd post all the pictures that I have seen of Scare Zone Construction around the park! These are not my photos, they were taken by @we_heart_sixflags_stl_fanpage just yesterday while the annual American Coaster Enthusiasts Daredevil Daze event was happening The entrance to Wrecker's Salvage is right over by Tidal Wave, which means a perfect oppurtunity for the zombies of Zombieville to pop over to the queue line and get a few scares. A shockingly realistic corpse prop over near Zombieville. This is sure to turn some heads. Gnawlin's Hollow! Work had just begun on the rest of Sinister Clowns just yesterday Spider Alley has actually been spread pretty far along this year!
  9. Has anyone gotten any response from this past weekend? I sent them an email Monday night and haven't heard squat. As it says on the website, please allow a week for a response. Especially if there's a time that they're jammed with web comments... ...however... ...once you get to that eighth day, go ahead and absolutely flood them. Flood their social media. Flood their phone lines. Flood their web comments. Flood the forums. Tell everyone you can. After today, I'm too burnt out to pretend to care anymore. I'm not going to apologize for any experience you have. I'm not going to help with any issue you experience. Absolutely hold them accountable. Be reasonable, but after they don't respond, call the media for all I care. I understand where youre coming from. This forum is just a trash heap of needless negativity and I wonder why I check it every day just to see the obligatory Iron Boss/Hyper Coaster posts or people complaining in detail about the issues they have with the park. I swear, no other forum on TPR acts like this, it's just this one. I've gotten kinda sick of it.
  10. Wrecker's Salvage is actually the hayride this year, or at least that's what Matt who's performing in Love at First Fright told me
  11. Here's a pic from Instagram of the mulch path and stick huts that were mentioned a couple pages back! I'm glad to see the Trolls come back, but I hope after 4 years they don't use the same cheesy troll masks they had used back in the day. Also, even though this is in the general area of between Colossus and DC Comics Plaza, I'm having trouble laying my finger on exactly where it is. I see a banner for JL:BFM but from that angle it would be in the Gnawlin's Hollow area? So confused.
  12. Quick question: are the chaser lights on Screamin' Eagle installed but not operating or are they removed completely? After around 20 years I don't think they're there anymore but if we got some LEDs to line the side of Eagle instead I think that that whole back area would look spectacular at night, especially during Fright Fest.
  13. Sad to see Rush Street Flyer leave, but out with the old, in with the new I suppose. Plus, all ever I wanted them to do if they were to give give us a Larson loop was to not market it as a coaster, and they did exactly that. Plus, it's cool to see the back area near Boomerang and Superman get some more color, and it seems Fireball will do just that! Color me pleased. Also, just curious, are there plans to replace the sign at the parking lot entrance? I noticed Bugs Bunny was removed from the sign (for some good time now) and it's looking really bland without it.
  14. Even though Larson Loops are not really the ideal addition to the park, they still do have some appeal to them. I've never actually been on one before, but I know people that have and I don't think they're really painful rides per say, also I mean the LED lights on the rim really are something pretty amazing to look at, especially after seeing videos of The Joker: Chaos Coaster at Six Flags Over Georgia at night That's saying we're even getting one though.
  15. That giga coaster post had me in tears That really made my day
  16. Is that wooden building for the new Camp Killamore maze this year? Thats something I wouldn't have ever expected to see for a maze from SFSTL That just goes to show that they really are passionate about the production value when it comes to Fright Fest, because just remember how lackluster the event was back in 2010 and 2011 compared to now! Even if we get something totally crappy for 2016 I'm still looking forward to experiencing Fright Fest this Fall
  17. Avoid Bring a Friend Free Day like the plague Enjoy waiting an hour to ride one ride? How about an extra two hours for that same ride absolutely FREE with a Bring A Friend ticket!
  18. Anyway, I got some interesting pictures on Friday, and I will hopefully get a chance to post them soon, as long as I don't have to point out any other ridiculousness. Nobody's even talking about these 'interesting pictures' and are talking about Iron Boss more I love this thread
  19. I don't think a Larson Loop is something to count on coming, because I remember Dave or someone at SFSTL discussing their distaste towards them, but I guess they don't necessarily decide what comes to the parks, so I guess it is still a possibility, while being a super small one at that
  20. For those who know what's coming, how excited should we be from 1-10?
  21. Heard from Holly Noel today (Love At First Fright performer) about Fright Fest auditions and she says that the park only needs 60 actors left for all of the attractions and Scare Zones this year and with three audition dates left, thats looking to be a lot more Freaks than we've ever seen in the park thus far, and that I'm excited for.
  22. I do agree with like 60% of all the things he said, but I don't really think it was a fair or perfect view on the park in any way considering he declined to acknowledge Justice League: Battle for Metropolis, or any of the big or current changes and efforts that the park is doing to really clean up after themselves, including how much more of a well-kept and pretty park it is now compared to the Shapiro days and the Bankruptcy issues. Not that the mentions of unshaded asphalt and all that aren't true, especially the parking lot, but its a sigh of relief compared to the bomb testing grounds it used to seem like with a bunch of potholes and rubble everywhere From my understanding it just seemed like he was avoiding all mentions of what's actually really good about the park and kinda focused on the negatives, which is alright I guess, but if you're making a serious review of a park like SFSTL it has to be a two way street. Thats why I'm sure this is a big kick in the crotch for people that actually understand the going-ons and check back frequently to this forum to see what's happening, because Dave and the crew really are making a deep conscious effort to better things for the long-term, and I applaud that. Events like Fright Fest really show that they aren't afraid to 'Go Big' <-(Heh) and really wow people with what they can do and I think that'll be a recurring vibe as we watch the park evolve. I'm just saying that I will keep going because it's not a horrendous park by any means, and even though most of my early memories are going here, it doesn't influence my view or blind me from the truth, because I know that the park is still in it's 'just-over-average' stage and has a long way to go in terms of really becoming the park that everyone wants, but as it stands now, SFSTL is a fun little park that I'm happy to call my home park.
  23. The ride operators even wore ninja attire to match the ride! That's something that they never do anymore, at any of the parks actually
  24. Was digging around the Internet and found a picture of the Ninja's original color scheme, although I don't know exactly when it was taken, it makes me curious as to why they changed it to black and white, although the latter is what I prefer
