Are you really going to try to play the race card on a theme park forum? Unless I read my own post wrong, I'm pretty sure I didn't mention any specific race as being a problem at the park, nor did I even mention any. And I never said that all poor people are criminals or don't deserve to be at the park either. By "those types of people" I meant anyone who might have criminal intent or is involved with criminal activities, which is in some places statistically more common with lower-class people. That doesn't mean that's the case in Eureka or most places in Missouri even. I'm not some rich snob that doesn't want any lower-class people in the park, nor am I a horrible racist, so you can go be aggressive with "that sh*t" somewhere else, my guy. I don't think discussing classism is an appropriate conversation to be having on a TPR forum, so I apologize for continuing this further.

My apologies, I didn't mean that ALL people with criminal records shouldn't be able to be in the park. If the rowdiness ever got to a certain point that they needed some kind of extra safety measure, they'd probably just bump up security rather than requiring background checks. Six Flags St. Louis and the rest of the Six Flags parks aren't even close to needing that though. And yeah, most poor people aren't criminals.

The dates and some details for this season's seasonal events are up on Six Flags America's website! July 4th Fest 2019 July 3 through July 6 The park will be open during the event from 10:30 AM to 9 PM, and Hurricane Harbor from 11 AM to 7 PM, with fireworks every night. There will also be some ERT from 9:30 to 10:30 for guests that bring in a Coke product. The July 4th Fest Zone will also return from Noon to 6 PM with activities for families, as well as the After Hours Foam Party, which is an additional cost. https://www.sixflags.com/america/special-events/july-4th-fest-event Fright Fest 2019 September 21 through October 27 The website claims Awakening will return at the Gotham City Arena, along with the Trick-Or-Treat Trail and Little Monsters Kiddie Hayride for kids, but I'm unsure if it's actually been updated for this year. https://www.sixflags.com/america/special-events/fright-fest Holiday in the Park 2019 November 23 through January 1 The website for Holiday in the Park hasn't been updated yet, but it should be soon. https://www.sixflags.com/america/special-events/holiday-in-the-park-event

It's just strange how much oversight there is for such a large company. Years ago I remember hearing a rumor that the people who design and maintain the websites for all the parks are just a couple of guys down at the corporate headquarters in Texas. Not sure about the legitimacy of that, but it would certainly explain all the errors

So some people have mentioned throughout the year that it seems like there's been less money to go around for certain things around the park this season, and that's exactly the case. Six Flags St. Louis has had some budget cuts, but I think that management is doing a good job with what they have this season. It's nothing to worry about. I haven't been told this exactly, but I assume it mainly has to do with how much money Six Flags has been putting into Six Flags Dubai and their other projects this year. However, 2019 will be a big year for the park, and there will be a lot more happening than just Supergirl and Chop Six, thought I'm not allowed to say exactly what yet. There will continue to be some much needed refreshes for some areas of the park as we get closer to Six Flags St. Louis' 50th anniversary!

I guess we're past talking about things we would like to see now, which is a sad state for the community. Whether you like what the park's been adding the past 10 years or not, you have to realize that there's a certain level of acceptance that we'll never be as big or as advanced as the other parks that goes with being a fan. Is it a bummer that we haven't had a ground-up coaster since 2008? Of course it is. But you can't let what we don't have detract from your enjoyment of what we do have. Sooner or later we'll get something "notable", no matter how impossible you all may think that is.

"Run down and dilapidated" is exactly the point, it's supposed to be a street in Gotham City. They actually fully refurbished the buildings in early 2016 so it makes no sense to me why they couldn't have at least just put lights up on the upper parts of them instead of keeping a bunch of rat props on them when it's supposed to be festive. When I went to HITP for the first time with my family in 2016 it was one of the first things my dad pointed out when we entered Studio Backlot, so it isn't like it's not noticeable. I think people are just used to seeing it now. They did not fully refurbish the buildings in 2016, they simply removed the parts of the facade that were becoming safety issues. I didn't even notice that they removed anything from them, makes sense though. I'm probably thinking of something else but I remember someone telling me they replaced some of the structure behind the buildings or something? I don't know, but honestly at this point I'd rather they just replace them with something else if they don't care about keeping them maintained, they are 23 years old now after all, and look what happened to the other ones next to where Spinsanity is now. Maybe give Batman and the surrounding area some kind of modern retheme? Who knows, I feel like that area needs it.

Totally random, but does anyone know why Six Flags stopped removing the haunted attraction near the Empire Theater once it became Night Terrors? Is it because they don't have enough time to take it all down in the gap between the two events? I'm only asking because we're less than a month away from HITP already and I hope they don't keep it up again after this year, I feel like it makes Studio Backlot feel more cramped (especially Batman's exit), and they could easily remedy that issue by building permanent sound stage buildings for the haunts, which with a 30 year old event I feel like they should have already.

Most of the other parks somewhat care about theming, ours doesn't. Just look at the Screampunk District area coming to SFOG that was announced yesterday and the Boardwalk area that's being worked on at SFMM. I think we have the potential to have cohesively themed areas, but we just don't. It doesn't have to be in-depth, it's really just about being creative and improving guest experience, but that all just comes down to effort.

While I'm okay with us getting a Zamperla Endeavour, why did they decide to give it a Supergirl theme when it's right in the middle of a bunch of medieval-style buildings and theming? Maybe when the ride actually opens they'll make it fit in with Britannia more but as of right now that's kind of baffling to me. Sure there are other rides that are out of theme (Pandemonium), but I don't get why they couldn't have just named it something England-related, throwing an IP on it just seems really lazy to me.
-
We won't be getting anything big this year. If it was anything bigger than a Zamperla Endeavour in the place of Highland Fling (which I've heard is most likely what we're getting) then they would have been promoting it by now, and they've been silent since the beginning of the month. I'm fine with that though, if it's a Zamperla Endeavour then that's essentially a spiritual successor to Highland Fling and I think people will appreciate that. Maybe it'll have a cool lighting package like Catwoman Whip at SFOT, which'll brighten up the Britannia section of the park a little bit.

Boss won't be because it can't run below a certain temperature (although I can't remember what that temperature is), but the whole Illinois section of the park was closed off last season because of Boomerang and with it being re-opened now all the rides back there should operate, we should get a info dump about HITP with all the rides soon after FF is over
