  1. Just saying this since no one else mentioned it, happy 500 pages everyone! Keep in mind that we are now at Page 500 while just last August we were at 393 and everything previous was pretty much all the buzz since like 2005 There seems to be a lot of buzz this year regarding JL:BFM and Six Flags St Louis' 2015 Season as a whole
  2. Hey everyone! Just spent a long and beautiful day at the park and while crowds were moderate I mostly was there to check out everything that was new for this year as this was my first visit this season of hopefully many to come. And with all of the heaps of JL:BFM hype I have some updates and some other things to share from the park that you guys will probably like. So let's get right in! So most likely, what you guys will mostly want to hear about is how the facade is progressing, and after seeing only photos I was pretty amazed at how just big the Hall of Justice facade is and how incredibly detailed it will be as well. Today it seemed work was focused on smoothing out Styrofoam on the individual columns and putting a layer of plaster over it with some fiberglass underneath and honestly the breeze might not have helped because it was like a snowstorm in Late April with millions of Styrofoam particles flying every which way But they had at least 5 workers on site (on the outside at least) working on each column and a couple hauling things inside and working on the inside queue a little bit more. Taking a peek in the archway it seems that the walls are completely done but un-decorated which is promising since everyone is hoping for that late May opening. I actually decided to ride Shazam today just to g et an idea of what it would feel like exiting from JL:BFM into the Superheroes V Villains store and while doing so I actually discovered that they were testing some elements inside and the door was wide open meaning I got a small glimpse of what was going on and I thought that was definitely pretty neat. I liked how wonderfully themed the new store is and I think it will make a perfect end-of-ride gift store for the ride.I have a lot of faith that this ride will blow everyone away like people say it will. (Also a side note, there is only one remaining Scooby-Doo element on the side of the facade in the form of one of the spooky looking trees which I took multiple photos of expecting it not to be there much longer anyway) But yeah JL:BFM will be a signature ride at SFSTL and I can't wait to ride it as I haven't been so pumped for a fantastic new ride at the park since maybe SkyScreamer back in 2011 Anyways, moving on Ninja was ever so unpopular, Boss was actually extremely rough and was only running one train which was kinda an inconvenience considering the crowds today, but Freeze was running two and had music and both projectors working which had me really happy as Batman was playing music too which is kinda a rarity for some reason nowadays. Boss was actually closed for half the day due to some cheer competition at Old Glory which I didn't get how that would call a closure but uh I had a really awesome day at the park today and I hope to be back in a week or two to see how things are going
  3. So i'm wondering, will the other end of the ride building for JLBM be changed at all? If you don't know what i'm talking about, i mean the end near where American Thunder sits. I think that end was re-painted for Scooby-Doo, correct me if i'm wrong. Also, it'd be cool to see views and parts of DC Comics Plaza as you make your way around walking from the other tunnel into where American Thunder sits. They could even put something on the top of the entrance to the tunnels on both the sides where you walk into the main area of DC Comics Plaza from near the Palace Theater if they wanted to. Although there's already lots of signage and it's marked in the map obviously it'd still add a little touch to the area IMO This seems like the part of the park that either you'll want to go to for JLBM or stay the heck away from because of the envisioned monster crowds
  4. I didn't take many pics but here are some "renovations" I noticed: -Go Fresh Cafe and a new chicken restaurant are now sharing the space where Character Cafe was -Smokehouse's patio has been extended with lots of new outdoor seating -Palace has been repainted/freshened up -The gift shop near Shazam is now called "Superheros and Villains" and has lots of Justice League merch Go check out HWFan's post a few pages back. He has pictures of all the things I mentioned. Same here I didn'teven bring my camera seeing all the pics HWFan posted, it would seem redundant. Really I didn't even notice the expanded patio at JB's. Most of what I saw was just minor touch ups throught out the park, new paint here, new wood there, no one really big thing. What I'm wondering is if this Superheroes vs Villains store has actual Six Flags-licensed Justice League Battle for Metropolis merchandise and not just more DC Comics in general items
  5. So, anyway enough talk of more steel coaster/ninja/S&S 4D stuff does anyone have some more pictures of things on Opening Weekend? Im curious to see if they are still working on stuff around the park other than JL:BFM
  6. What I'm really hoping is that this is the kickoff year of some major and awesome new rides. Ever since SkyScreamer which is probably the only really cool thing added in the last five years (Besides Mr Freeze: Reverse Blast and the fun Tsunami Soaker last year) It's been so long and everyone's been clamoring for a signature steel coaster for pretty much more than a decade. This August, it would make sense for them to finally drop the bombshell and announce it. Justice League is going to be amazing
  7. FOOTAGE OF JLBFM'S INTERIOR! Yes, there was a media tour of the ride at opening day yesterday and it's as breathtakingly cool as you'd expect. Plus there was also a photo op added to the park near the Palace Theater advertising the ride. But anyways, wow! Here we only really get to see parts of S.T.A.R Labs and a tiny glimpse of LexCorp but wow is it cool. Not to mention the area before you get into LexCorp will be like sneaking in with realistic prop trees covering a background shot of the city of Metropolis? Wow. We got to see just a little but it is so promising. Also it seems that Joker and Cyborg won't be in the same room after all. It seems what we saw at IAPPA is different than what we are getting here. But anyway, enough DC Comics-nerding out. Enjoy! http://fox2now.com/2015/04/03/new-prototype-ride-coming-to-six-flags-this-season/
  8. By the way HWFan, if you would like you could DM me the pictures and I could post them all up if you're continuing to have some technical difficulties there I'm surwe were all really desperate to see them
  9. So, I'm curious, with all of theseason really awesome updates of really cool stuff from you, HWFan, do you know if the Justice League HQ store will be changed/refurbished at all?
  10. So I tweeted to Six Flags St Louis to check if everything is on schedule and the opening hasn't been pushed to summer like certain things have at other Six Flags parks (Twisted Colossus, etc) I think one ride that is the most ready and will be ready the fastest will be Wicked Cyclone At Six Flags New England and probably those lame Larson Mega Loops But it's great to hear it's still opening late spring!
