Moving along, sort of, on Tomb Raider. I just upgraded my axe to go through the gate and now have hands tied up and have to do stealth mode...sort of reminds me of Ocarina of Time, trying to sneak past the guards to get to Princess Zelda...but a little more...violent (Link just gets kicked out, Lara, takes an arrow to the knee...or the thigh rather).

I was always under the assumption that the way the ties are set up are due to the amount of stress it's going to take on. Where it goes from the newer triangular setup to the traditional flat/thin ties, is that the track leading up to the Superman Plaza flyover? Could it be that it's taking on more forces leading up to that element? Looks like it gradually makes changes from traditional to the triangular setup, and then to the double spine. Just my 2-cents.

I think that for this weekend I'll take my bag and cave in for a locker. I want to get some more photos of S:UF and now that I've been messing with RAW on my camera, I really wouldn't mind getting some nice shots of it. Future visits I'll just take the necessities (Wallet, phone, sunglasses...anything that can be stuffed in a pocket). Looks like the weather's going to be nice this weekend, perfect for theme parks! I can't wait to do the whole 'double laps' thing as I'm itching to increase my S:UF lap count. I also still need my Roadrunner credit as I keep pushing it off.

Oh yea I totally didn't even think about those who have those ear-shattering screams. I will have to make sure members of our group are sitting behind me as I know they won't let out painful shrieks. While it won't be fully pitch black during the day, night rides should be pretty awesome! It will be strange going from cooler night air to warmer stuffy tunnel, to cool air again...just like Demon!

Alright, this project has been revitalized once again. Long story short: I had intentions on getting the previous project continuing this off season (which hasn't been much of an offseason for me) but had problems moving everything over to my new computer I bought a year ago. The computer I was running it on was getting a bit laggy. I instead decided to start the project over (again!) and hope that this one actually works out. With a new tool to help me through the project, I think I'll get pretty far and most importantly pretty accurate. It's been a major pain to switch in and out of the game to look at Google's street view so I can accurately make the buildings. Wii U/Nintendo recently released the street view app on their system so now I have a 2nd screen to look at simultaniously. What you see above is over in the Orleans Place just as you leave from Carousel Plaza. Without further ado, here's how the rest of it is going so far! After starting this last week and staring at this shot for the longest time I decided to get the ball rolling on this and continue. Overview, still lots to do! Another look at the Carousel Plaza. I'm heavily relying on CS to pull off some more realistic looking paths. More Carousel...don't laugh, it works! Overview of CGA's new hotness. Disclaimer: The RCT3 version will NOT feature a tunnel as it's impossible to make. The queue area, based on what I saw during the hardhat tour I got to take a couple weeks ago And I'll end it with an unfinished shot of one of the buildings over in the Orleans-themed area, just before the Bumper Cars. What you see in the very first shot with the Wii U tablet is a little more accurate as to how it looks now.

You Might Be A Coaster Nerd If....
Angry_Gumball replied to PCW_Nut's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
You're a nerd when you see "YOLO" and think of Full Throttle at SFMM Also when you think of LSMs running when you do a light throttle on your RC Car (running on a brushless motor, makes a high-pitched noise). Yes, I'm guilty of visioning a coaster taking off when I pull the throttle gradually to full throttle. -
^I need to pick back up on Skyward Sword as well. Since I got the Wii U, I've been too lazy to transfer my save over to it and I have the original Wii not hooked up at the moment. I wasn't that far in the game and I don't mind starting fresh again just to refresh me on what happened... The boss though in the first dungeon did creep me out though, as he appeared to get close to Link and next thing I see his tongue flails about. Yikes! (About the 2:00 mark)

Ah, so you did get OoT! Gotta love those blue fires in the ice cavern Agreed, graphics hugely improved. Just for kicks I dusted off my N64 cart, hooked up the N64 and tried it out...wow, so much fuzzier and blocky! The Water Temple...what was everyone complaining about? I breezed through that. The toughest part (assuming you beat the N64 version) was that darn water hallway (after defeating shadow Link) that features a series of annoying vortexes...(yay coaster references to a certain B&M standup ). They were a pain to get out of if you get stuck in them. Touch screen controls helped though, no navigating through menus to remove/put on the boots. So the only 2 annoyances in the Water Temple were constantly raising and lowering the water level, and the vortex things I mentioned. Well, Water levels in general however just suck, period (Especially in a Sonic game where you're supposed to be running for crying out loud!). I have yet to finish my Master Quest playthrough, currently stuck in Dodongo's Cavern. Ok, so I got lazy and got sidetracked Oh..did I say that Navi is a COMPLETE IDIOT?!?!? Uh...Navi? The princess is right in front of you!!!

Finally began my playthrough on Tomb Raider. So far it looks like a solid title! To me, it still feels very much like TR sans the clunky controls (you should have seen me try to control Lara on TR3 with the flat D-pad...kept walking into walls). Only strangeness: when I got to one of the action scenes, it was not registering that I was wiggling the left analog stick, thus being a bug in the game. After 15 tries and doing a hard reset, the game worked fine. Sounds like there may be some patches coming soon for the PS3 version

I'm juiced, just got a season (gold) pass for SFDK, going this saturday! Time to ride Full Throttle Jr (S:UF) and take advantage of the morning ERT session (Since S:UF is a Premiere coaster, I plan on shouting YOLO! as the ride shoots out of the station, similarly to how I'll shout Take the Tunnel when I hop on Gold Striker) We decided to do so since we're heading to SFMM next month, may as well just spend a bit more and get the pass since I need to reunite with one of my #1 steel coasters. So question of the night for you SFDK veterans: Are fanny packs allowed to be worn on the rides or do they have to be stashed in a fluffy bunny?

Full Throttle's looking pretty awesome! I mean...YOLOcoaster, that is I'm waiting to hear the GP mention that they can jump up and touch full throttle's track from the SEFK path (as it looks pretty close as the track heads toward the dive loop into tunnel). Honestly, I was 'meh' about the whole YOLO thing until YOLOcoaster came about... Since it's been fun to say
