Awesome report and photos! I (or we) all need to go here as a group. I can only imagine the fun to be had on the Garlic ride. -
Found this on a Disneyland community page: It primarily has to do with backstage employee areas. Still this sucks. And if DOSH is due to do more inspections in the next few days, I can only imagine what's going to happen when I visit... Whatever happened to people just being smart about things, and being responsible for their own actions rather than having to have big brother come in and baby everything? Only in California...

According to this (which was posted online) Space is set to open 'later today' while Matterhorn is down for refurbs...everything else looks good on the DL side. (10 min wait for Splash Mtn anyone?) On the DCA side, looks like Soarin's closed according to one of the sources I'm checking (sorry, don't want to 'forum drag' if that's the correct term).

LBP2, yes! That game is full of awesome and is essentially a huge lego set for me. Here's a few 'levels' I made: This one's my take on the "Skipping Syrtaki" (Tie Skipping) level...sadly the catchy soundtrack is not present in this clip. This was made when the Santa Claw was all the rage on TPR. And this is still a work in progress, a level based on one of my favorite Haunt mazes at California's Great America...Toy Factory! I even made the catchy TF theme using the in game sequencer (Don't mind my creeepy Pikachu sackperson) In other gaming stuff, a fellow TPR member got me into trying out Mother 3 (GBA game not released in the US). Barely in the game, just started off but I'm liking it so far!

I'm officially on vacation...just ordered my 2-Day Disneyland Hopper ticket/printed it, got my clothes all packed up ...just need to pack up the rest of my goods tomorrow and get some SD cards cleared off, and pick up some goods at the store tomorrow to finish packing up! Gonna be a fun next 6 days starting Sunday (Leaving for SFMM, then 2 days at Disney, a day at Knotts, and 1 more day at SFMM before heading back). -
What ruins your ride flow?
Angry_Gumball replied to Coaster Curt's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Seeing potential airtime coming up only to find that the train *barely* crests the hill. Also, curious to see how Goliath (SFMM) is now as it seems to be 2 rides (train coming to near stop in MCBR). I don't recall it coming to a crawl back in 2001 when I rode it. -
Glad to see what kind of waits to expect next week when I go. I'm going this coming Sunday as we pass through Valencia en route to Disneyland, (which I expect to be a bit busier since it's a weekend), and will hitting up the Mountain again on Thursday. I know a lot of schools are on Spring Break this week but next week SB should be more or less done and over with...less of the YOLOcrowds perhaps? I can live with 20 minute waits though you definitely can't go wrong with walk-ons!

Wow, that's a huge loop! I can't wait to see it this Sunday when I head down there! Also agreed, interesting that's its more circular though it is still somewhat elliptical. Going over the top of it should be pretty interesting as well and can imagine some nice graceful airtime and some great tummy tingles going up and over it. I definitely don't see as sudden or intense airtime as S:UF at SFDK but I'm definitely going to have to check this one out this year (WCB?)

NEW TPR Video Every Day in April!

Wow! It takes on those hills at quite a quick pace.... -
Definitely tons of Gold Striker porn to digest! What I like about the queue...it's open air (rather than confined/stuffy) yet the lift provides some nice shade from the afternoon sun...oh, and a covered station too (if we didn't mention that enough times already). Other parts of the park really could benefit from even simplistic shade...like the perimeter of the Flyers, FD's station, Demon's switchbacks...you get the idea. Grizzly's area though by far was the worst to wait in during opening weekend's visit. Combine no shade, switchbacks and horribly slow moving line with the blazing afternoon sun...hope you all brought your sunscreen! What I'm really diggin' with Gold Striker is how close the queue gets to the track! Thinking of other coasters in the area, much of the queue is covered up when passing under a coaster or all the switchbacks and paths have no interaction with the track (crossing under, running alongside...) Some nerd moments watching the POV: Carousel now has gold roof/doesn't look funky/flattened, and the Gold Striker Gifts shop now sports its new color scheme! It is still (according to the rendering) the world's first brakeless coaster, and has the world's first floorless transfer building

NEW TPR Video Every Day in April!
Angry_Gumball replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Sorry I'm a bit late on the Vine compilation response but I'm actually starting to dig Vine...I actually plan on doing some stuff next week on my SoCal trip, seems to serve as a video take on a trip report. It's actually quite fun cramming a specific event into 6 seconds! One of my friends/fellow TPR member told me the same thing earlier when I did my CGA compilation...I even played the "Stuck in America" song that you guys used on your old PGA video back when on another browser tab...felt very Coaster Expedition-like! -

I feel like I'd be really afraid to drop that, and that it would pretty much become toast due to the design. -

2 work days conquered, 3 more to go before I take on my SoCal trip to SFMM (2 visits), Disney (2 visits), and Knotts (Single Visit). It's about time I've made the time to head down there and nab some long missed credits! Now to dig the suitcase out of the attic...
