  1. Amidst the sea of endless Scream criticism, do I see more real airtime...in California...? How can this be? Holy crap that looks amazing. Now I want to see the green double down...
  2. It wasn't honestly as bad as I remember it being, but let's just say I would not marathon it. Can't you sneak off to Batman? TC's final brake run/flat looking turn into it on the green side appears to be installed. Both tracks are built almost to the high five as well. No pictures sorry.
  3. I think I just met you in the Green Lantern single rider line. I was the teenager who was agreeing with you about how it hurts. And yes, it still hurts.
  4. Nothing has been revealed thus far for how the trains will be getting up that tower, correct? Could the LSMs be for a vertical launch up the tower a la Wicked? The park has said they are taking inspiration from Wicked to use in the new coaster, so it wouldn't be much of a stretch. Plus there's still that secret element... Makes total sense to me.
  5. That double down looking hill out of the dive loop...
  6. It may just be the angle, but those pictures make it look like the green drop is even steeper than the blue one. All these pictures are awesome, I can't wait to ride it in the spring or summer or whenever it opens.
  7. The drop is not going to fall down, and it is going to be the best drop in the park. (except maybe X2, if you like that kind of thing) And, as COASTERelic pointed out, you will go down twice. End of discussion IMO.
  8. Yes! I went to SFFT last summer and was really surprised by how faded it looked. It's great to see that this awesome ride looks the part once again.
  9. That is absolutely ridiculous looking! Holy crap! Now let us pray to the coaster gods it is smooth... Apparently BomBora is glass smooth though, so I am optimistic. Must. Get. To. Utah.
  10. I just happened to have seen that ride on the "random coaster" section of RCDB one time, and recognized it. Here's mine:
  11. Holy crap, this ride is going up fast! It might actually be realistic to say it'll be done on Thanksgiving!
  12. Slalom at Pattaya Park in Thailand. WTF it looks like someone designed a coaster in RCT3 and plugged an egg beater lift on it.
  13. I'm 99% sure he was being sarcastic about the fire being intentional. There is no way even SFMM would be stupid enough to purposefully set a 36-year-old pile of wood on fire, just to see what happens.
  14. Huh, there are only two wheel assemblies for three rows... Weird. It's probably going to be all one car with three rows and not three individual cars. Is Thunderbolt the same way? I know they are completely different rides and not related in any way but that does seem a little strange. Reminds me of the Mummy trains in a way.
  15. Thanks. Next time I'll take some earlier and they'll be much better. If you want to talk about SFMM not removing unused stuff, the Metro Monorail track was sitting there for a long, long time before the majority of it was removed for YOLOcoaster, and Flashback was SBNO for quite a while too. Not to mention all the abandoned buildings on the hill and in the back half of the park. As for what happens to the Colossus track, again, we'll just have to wait and see. Whether an old piece of track out of sight exists or not won't change anyone's opinion of the park, other than giving us crazy enthusiasts something else to make fun of.
  16. I've heard somewhere that a helix is downwards and a carousel is upwards, but I don't know if I believe that. It doesn't always seem to work like that.
  17. ^Aaand you have much better pictures than me. Thanks for posting. ^^ I'm personally afraid that they'll cheap out and not remove the old track. But others disagree and say the track is definitely going. We'll just have to wait and see.
  18. I was at the Mountain today, leaving now. I was foolish enough to not take pictures of Colossus on the way in. Basically all of the 1st turnaround has been chopped off 20-30 feet lower than the original turn. There is a small part still sticking up that I wound assume is for the high five. Unrelated, but they were using both sides of Tatsu's station, which I've never seen before in my life, and I had the best rides I've had on Apocalypse in a long time. Train 1, row 10. Edit - Crappy phone night pictures are crappy: The most dramatic changes were to this turn. There is a crane near the brake run/former double down. Don't know how new that is.

  20. I wonder what SFMM will do with the old Colossus track that doesn't get in RMC's way, in particular the third turnaround. Hopefully they don't just leave it sitting there, like Rolling Thunder's track at SFGAd. It's also good to see some new pictures of construction, they have really chopped that turnaround up, haven't they? I can't wait to see some track on that drop, too.
  21. Ok, didn't know that because I've been trying to stay as far away from all Gringotts information as possible to avoid spoilers. I really need to get back out to Orlando... Back on topic, that Mike Kitchen interview is interesting, Seven inversions? And 123 degrees? Isn't that steeper than Takabisha? Yes please!
  22. I can totally imagine a Universal or Disney-level themed version of that SFX coaster. Can you imagine Spider-Man, but a coaster? Also, that KMG seat looks like some kind of torture device. Any idea what it is for?
  23. ^I'd think the lift would be able to act as a holding brake. Just have it stop at the top like many coasters do if the next block is occupied. I have family in San Antonio, and already visit SFFT and Schlitterbahn yearly, so I may have to stop by this place!
  24. I really love the look of this! It's much longer than most shuttle coasters, and has an overbank, but still manages to be very family friendly looking. I hope this catches on and puts the Vekoma Boomerang out of the market!
