  1. WTF, dude?! You straight up copied and pasted this from CC. Instead of making it sound like you have an inside source who is calling you up with hookups, just tell the truth! This was posted on Carowinds Connection last week, everyone. Isn't that what I just said? I heard this from Jarsh on CC. Is Jarsh not the same thing as a reliable source?
  2. You mean Jarsh from CC? Here's the deal everyone... IT'S NOT AN INTAMIN! IT IS B&M! The track that is ours is the teal track with yellow spine. Good night. Yep. Jarsh knows all.
  3. He dosen't know anything more about the ride than the rest of us, he have just watched the leaked blueprints. Hey, don't take my word for it, but I do know my stuff. I also know the ride will not be named Centurion. You shall see on the 21st. In other news the new toll booth is really coming along! Credit to RideWarrior
  4. Reliable sources I know a good amount about the ride, but I don't want to spill much more. Come August 21 we will all know.
  5. These are all of the elements of the new Carowinds coaster, once again from reliable sources on Carowinds Connection: Leave station, pass transfer/storage area Lift First drop and overbank occur in the bus parking Low speed curve to the left over to the main entrance axis Overbank hill / speed turn to the right at the current drop off area (going over the new main entrance axis) Overbank hill / speed hill turn to the left (going over the new secondary axis) Climb up into overbanked turnaround at the corner of the current handicapped parking area Drop out of turnaround and into a tunnel under the new secondary axis Overbanked hill / speed turn to the left (exiting this element over the new main entrance area) Big airtime hill (exiting in the current bus parking area / bottom of the first overbank) 360 degree helix (180 degrees up and 180 degrees down) Airtime hill over first drop Banked turn to the left Airtime hill under lift Banked turn to the right Hop up into brake run Turn into station
  6. Here's the lift start footer of i305 for comparison. Also the blueprints have confirmed to be the real deal. It's not a Leviathan clone either. I've been told by reliable sources that the two highest points of the ride besides the first drop is the first over banked turn and the turnaround. It also does go through an underground tunnel. Its definitely a speed coaster, so I guess I can say it is closer to the likeness of I305 than Leviathan was.
  7. Yes, we are 100% sure the blueprints are real because it has the same footer placement as the toll booth blueprints. We are also 100% B&M. And yes you can tell by the footers as seen here: Fury 325/Centurion lift start footer. Leviathan lift start footer. Same as the Carowinds footer^^^^
  8. Carowinds will not get an Intamin, we have been over this many times. The footers at Carowinds are B&M. The teal/yellow is probably for Carowinds.
  9. I'm disappointed that it is just a bad name. The sound, spelling, just bleh. Its an eye sore and a head ache.
  10. Dear God what an awful name. "Laff Trakk"??? Why? The ride itself looks interesting though.
  11. There are currently huge giga-like supports at the plant. (credit to Carowinds Connection) (Just for you FSUFanChris)
  12. Okay, I felt the need to post a small trip report. I went to Cedar Point July 8-11 and had a ton of fun, so here is what I came away with. Mantis- I was expecting hell but it didn't turn out as bad as I originally thought. I am a supporter of the floorless idea though. Despite a few headbanging moments (especially after the MCBR) it was still an okay ride, and definitely one of the better stand ups. Not nearly as good as Georgia Scorcher though. 6/10 Iron Dragon- I expected more. After riding The Bat just days prior I guess I was expecting a more intense ride. Just meh. 5/10 Mean Streak- Boring, rough and airtimeless, this ride just sucked. Bleh. 3/10 Top Thrill Dragster- Awesome fun, especially without the OTSR of KIngda Ka. The launch is exhilarating, and it was also smoother than many other launchers such as Ka. Althought the ride broke down numerous times while I was in line I still thoroughly enjoyed it. 9/10 Raptor- Having been on many B&M inverts I knew what to expect. While its not one of the best inverts it was still a very fun ride. A bit rougher than other inverts as well. 8/10 Gatekeeper- Wild Eagle puts this to shame. Such a bleh boring ride. Its smooth of course, and I like the entrance flyover, but this didn't do much for me. 7/10 Blue Streak- Okay, I didn't see this coming. I LOVED this ride. The airtime was great, and the color scheme is gorgeous. I rode this ride 9 times without getting off and enjoyed every second. Well, except the spiders on the rails of the brake run. *shivers*. 8.5/10 Gemini- Sort of dull. A fun first drop and a few decent air time hills. Had no line so I rode it more times than I planned. 6.75/10 Wicked Twister- Rougher than I expected. Still liked the ride, and was good fun. Had no line as well. 7.5/10 Magnum XL 200- The main disappointment of my 2014 trip. Just wow. The lap bar was murdering me throughout the ride. I mean pain, not just roughness. My thighs were bruised. I tried to enjoy it and even went through the pain seven times as there was no line trying to find what people like about this ride. Needless to say I found little to no appeal. So much bleh. 4.5/10 Maverick- The perfect roller coaster. But there's only one problem: the not so perfect restraints. The headbanging really degraded the ride for me. This ride would have been #1 on my list if it had lap bars. Sigh. Still awesome and loved the ejector hill. 8/10 Millennium Force- Of course this is a popular ride, but many call it overrated. While its not the best that I've been on, it was still great smooth fun. The first drop was one of the best on Earth. I also loved the view of Eerie and the tunnels. 9.25/10 Cedar Creek Mine Ride- I like the drop over the water, but nothing else. 4/10 Corkscrew- Not a horrible headbanger, but still kind of painful and short. Still a classic. 5.5/10 Skyhawk- I was one of the lucky people to ride it before the cable snapped, lol. Awesome ride. 8.5/10 MaXair- Just your average awesome giant frisbee. No bleh here. 8.25/10 Power Tower- Turbo Drop- Felt slower than an Intamin Giant Drop or Gyro Drop. Kind of meh. 7/10 SpaceShot- Am I one of the only people who like these things? 8/10 Slingshot- Didn't ride because I rode the one at Kings Island. Woodstock Express- Just an average kiddie coaster Overall I had a fun trip and look forward to visiting again in 2015. The roller coaster selection is good at Cedar Point but some of the rides just aren't amazing as I had hoped. Maybe I had my expectations high, and rightfully so. So I guess that is all.
  13. Drop tower? 325 foot tall windseeker? etc? Who would be building a 325 foot drop tower in the Cedar Fair chain? Who else is there that doesn't own a drop tower? Michigans Adventure. of course michigans adventure. Its always michigans adventure. I forgot Michigan's Adventure existed.
  14. If that was a guess then you must be the luckiest person alive... (That's correct) Well I guess the fact that its purple helped.
  15. What no Waterpark Expansion? I shall edit that in. Why have an expansion? Just build a whole new water park! Hell, build THREE of them! I mean, if you're gonna have a hotel and an Intamin Gyro Drop you can probably have three water parks! Maybe four! Not really an expansion, more like upgrades, new slides, etc. I'm sure we would all love for there to be four water parks at Carowinds but y'know, Cedar Fair just doesn't listen to us.
  16. Bizzaro? Lol I'm clueless. If that's correct I shall pass my turn to another lucky member.
  17. Carowinds- 2015- Fury 325 B&M giga coaster, revamped parking lot and entrance, new flat, Thunder Road's last two hills re-tracked. 2016- Upgrades to infrastructure, new flat, Hurler's two other major turns re-tracked, new slides in water park. 2017- Construction begins on Carowinds hotel, Carolina Cyclone demolished, new slides in water park. 2018- New B&M launched wingrider in place of Cyclone, Hotel completed. 2019- New flat, new restaurants and infrastructure upgrades. 2020- Drop Tower demolished and replaced with Intamin gyro-drop (Or other model) over 330 feet high. (As Carowinds' Drop Tower is quite outdated.
  18. Drop tower? 325 foot tall windseeker? etc? Who would be building a 325 foot drop tower in the Cedar Fair chain? Knotts and Cedar Point are likely getting Wonder Mountain style rides, KD and KI already have Drop Towers. Canadas Wonderland has a decent sized one as well. Who else is there that doesn't own a drop tower? And I'm pretty sure Cedar Fair is done with the Windseekers after all of the problems.
  19. Its not for a dive coaster. It will shock me if it isn't for Carowinds. Anyway, I was thinking about the trademarked name "Fury 325". I am now 90% certain this is for the Carowinds giga based on one simple question; Who else would be building a 325+ foot coaster next year? It has to be in the US and has to be a Cedar Fair park. No other Cedar Fair parks are building a giga. This pretty much confirms the name or at least the height. What else would the 325 be for?
  20. The 'Centurion" trademark was suspended. The ride will not be named Centurion. The ride may be named Fury 325 and be themed to a bee hive or something, but the Rome teasing was just about the park expanding and growing itself. The teal and neon yellow is 90% Carowinds.
