I'm going Sunday this week. I'll probably post here afterwards with a review of the new train, Ripcurl construction progress, and other upgrades (don't expect photos). On a side note : This Friday is my last exam for the semester

Believe it or not, I think another nearby park will get a new coaster first. I am refering to Seabreeze. They typically add a new ride every other year however this season will be the 2nd without a new ride. With that being said, this year they seem to be going cheaper and doing simple renovations. They are probably saving up for something big coming soon (2017/2018). I have been hearing rumours claiming Seabreeze may add a Zierer tower coaster (with a lift hill so more like Knoebel's Impulse than Lagoon's Wicked) in a skinny sliver of parking lot behind the Whirlwind/Bobsleds/Pavilions.

Maybe if you watch the teaser video your questions will be answered. It's all explained right in it.

Sorry about it being a while since I posted on this thread. College is college. Anyways I just heard some rather unbelievable news. CUDA FALLS (takes shot of whiskey) IS BEING REBUILT! That's right! Cuda Falls ('nother shot) is going back right in it's old spot on the hill by the entrance! It will also be repainted with the paint initially intended for Mind Eraser. Speaking of the delivery of the train for Ride Of Steel; a photo trip report from a preview of SFNE this year showed the new trains on Superman : The Ride and if I remember correctly these are the same models as the one coming to Ride Of Steel. So consider this a preview (The second photo is slightly innacurate as there will be no headrest).

But then Fury 325 is removed because of assholes complaining of the forcefullness I wish that Half Life 3 was released.

Because of college it has been a while since I have posted on this thread. With that being said I have a list of questions that hopefully can be answered. - How is the repaint of Mind Eraser going? - Have parts arrived for Ride Of Steel's new train? - Have parts arrived for Ripcurl? - Any new rumors lately?

Silver track with black supports... or vice versa. Thatd be sweet. The Silver Star is painted like this... i want it I agree that would be sweet if Darien Lake is keeping the same Ride Of Steel name for the ride. In regards to a retheme however I still stand by my hopes for a switch to pepsi products in the park and Ride Of Steel being rethemed to Mountain Dew - Ride Of Caffiene with green track and red supports. Not like that would happen though (one can dream).

So who is going to fill Doug's spot? Will this thread recieve an equivalent in the near future?

Yes official, no on type. So it's also official it will be running 2 trains? Sorry also a little behind on this thread. Doug mentioned that there will be one train this year and another one added in 2017. To answer ThrillSeeker4552's question, Doug also mentioned that they will be like the trains on Bizarro/Superman-The Ride at SFNE (But will most likely lack the on ride audio part).

News was released today about Frontier City getting a Zamperla Power Surge. Why did Darien Lake not get a power surge? That would have been way better than hearing that Darien is getting a racing waterslide

Is there no dry addition to the park this year? At least a thrilling flat would have been nice

I really hope that Darien Lake is not adding a family ride! To me at least, Darien Lake is more about thrilling attractions than being for everyone. They added Rowdy's Ridge in 2012 so I'm hoping that they will focus on bigger, better additions until a major upgrade to thier selection of family rides is actually needed.

Good question. Does anyone have knowledge on this?
