What was your First Launch Coaster?

I like using this site to kind of monitor the crowds for a few days to guestimate how crowded it'll be. If that makes sense... www.isitpacked.com/ And if they're scared of coasters... I think SFMM is the WRONG place to be. LOL! But, to answer your question... X2. (totally kidding!) It's summer so it will be busy. Saturdays are busiest followed by Sunday and then Friday then weekdays (barring events/deal days) Best to show up at least 45 mins prior to park opening to get far ahead enough in line that you have your choice of first ride with no line. For making the most of your time I recommend starting with YOLOCoaster if you arent purchasing a platinum FP and a $15 YOLO ride. If you do that you can come back to X2 at about 4:30pm when the line will be minimal. Tatsu can be ridden anytime using a flash pass (if you're going on a weekend, get a gold flash pass). If the person is literally afraid of all coasters she may be right..he might be in for a boring day. Ironically back when I was still afraid of "extreme" coasters I was dragged onto X as my first ride of the day. I wasn't happy about it as I was going up the lift hill, but I was pumped up when I got off and ready to ride again. It certainly is a good trial by fire. If you think it would be wiser to warm them up on something first, Colossus and Gold Rusher are the best non-kiddie starters. I would say Revolution, but pain can turn people off of coasters and that thing is nothing if not painful. (Same reason why I wouldnt recommend X2 even though I started on it, its very painful right now) Whatever you do, don't put them on Green Lantern first, they may never go near a coaster again! lol Oh! Also, there is a phone app on iOS and Android called "RideHopper" that can sometimes give pretty accurate info on wait times. It's user input based, so there's always the potential that someone misjudges time or trolls bad info, but the more submissions they get it averages out and SFMM gets more input than any other so it's usually pretty good. Theyve taken steps to make it more accurate by only allowing those in the park (checking GPS) to input times and it also has a built in timer so you can start your time when you get in line and then post the time it took when you get to the station. Recently the Android version also added alerts so you can set it to "Alert me when the ride has a wait of < or > # of minutes" Just don't take the times literally, use it more as a guide to see whats busy and what isnt (or whats closed). I believe its 1.99 on android but free on iOS. I was hoping to get them over their fear. Green Lantern first it is [emoji14] Thanks for the advice and suggestions.

Hey guys, I'm planning to go to MM the week of the 22nd. Not sure yet, all dates are possible except the 26th. How will crowds be that week? We want to hit Yolo, Tatsu, X2, etc so what time do we have to get there? Also I have a friend who's coming who's scared of roller coasters, what would be the best for him to start on? Thanks, -transfo

2013 Theme Park Attendance Report

Anybody got any thoughts on what F&F and nighttime studio tours would do for USH? -
You know you're a Six Flags park if...

You know you're in six flags when they're too cheap too give you lids for cups... -
I know this is old, but I felt like it needs to be said. Even though I love USH and regard it as the G.O.A.T, it is NOT and amusement park. It is a theme park.

Ah yeah hadn't looked back in the forum. Also, most people don't arrive in the morning. And you made me remember about Diagon Alley! I guess we'll see how many people actually buy park hopper tix. The park puts the early opening as the main thing on their website when they offer it. Morning is getting more busy with each busy season.. True. However I think Potter will die down in a couple years at UOR, unless they expand it (which they will). Anyways I see USH getting a bump in numbers, but how much is up for debate.

USH will demolish their 415 acre studio to rival Magic Kingdom. Now introducing: Galactic Studios Hollywood! -
Before I start off, I think the USH index page needs a little update, as now you can spend a whole day here, easily with TF:3D and DM:MM. This might also make the rating 5 Anyways Super Silly Fun Land is getting a new ride, saw it being built on my trip last week. Quick re-brief to keep it fresh in your memory: Potter will be 6 acres compared to the 20 acres at IOA However, this will likely make USH surpass USF's attendance. One thing I always found interesting is that USH has 5 mil yearly, USF has 6 mil yearly, however USF has 100+ acres. So there ya go. Right now only Forbidden Journey will be copied, we don't know if the shops will come as well, but I hope butterbeer wil be there. Dueling Dragons will not be added (as far as we know), but we don't need that piece of junk, we already have the most world-class coaster lineup in the world!... no one? Ok. (Although I prefer USH's Mummy to USF) Diagon Alley may come, although we probably would have to start building up to do that. I see really creative things coming from USH in the future. http://articles.latimes.com/2013/apr/25/news/la-trb-wizarding-world-harry-potter-universal-studios-04201325
