  1. Wow... I'm not really impressed with the coaster. Goliath still holds ALL the records it still has. It's only taller than Goliath, only 3 inversions, only 70 miles per hour, and no launch??? I know I'm going to get A LOT of ranting towards me... but the fact of the matter is: Cedar's Not Impressed. Period.
  2. I think you're forgetting Safari Off Road Adventure which has 3+ hour waits on a regular basis and seems to be the most popular ride at Great Adventure. Yes, SEEMS to be the most popular even though it is a capacity nightmare compared to any park with any ride. Period. No questions asked.
  3. GAdv is my homepark and I visited SFGAm back in 2006 and I completely disagree. Toro is arguably the #1 coaster in the world (steel or wood), Nitro is a much better ride than RB, front row on Ka is better than any ride I rode at SFGAm, both have B:TR and S:UF clones, then GAdv still got 2 medium-quality B&M's and a few decent family coasters. GADV also just added a 200ft Skyscreamer and the tallest drop ride in the world, a one of a kind safari attraction which the GP go nuts for, and a package of other flats. I LOVED SFGAm...it's the nicest SF park I've been to and is quite well-rounded. But I still slightly prefer GAdv altogether when factoring in coasters, flats, and the safari. GAdv is also very nice besides a couple dead-ends, and operations are among the best in the chain. Your criticisms do apply to SFMM, though. SFGAm and GAdv are probably the cream of the SF crop. Safari is a capacity nightmare and a waste of time to see something at any zoo, just without the chance of the animals attacking each other. Kingda is a great coaster, I agree with you. But Kilo is just a waste of space... Getting rid of a woodie for a record breaking drop tower and a capacity nightmare. Great. Nintro is just and out and back with more airtime; Raging Bull is for the twists and some air time. El Toro may be great, but the turns at the end seem a bit obnoxious. SFGAdv has great pontential, it's just being operated by the wrong person. In my opinion, there are too many large holes in the park at the moment.
  4. Oh... Thanks for the info! It would've been cool if it followed through!!!
  5. This is a sad park, I have not love for it. All the rides need to be relocated to other parks and shut it down, or go to Cedar Fair operations.
  6. I don't understand why people keep thinking this ride is going to need lots and lots of "gimmicks" - I personally cannot stand rides that are "gimmicky" and more often than not, rides with gimmicks do not turn out to be top five rides. I was thinking more along the lines of Furious Baco, but maybe a little longer. Or is that a gimmic?
  7. Have you been to SFGAm? I believe it's better. You should try it! And I meant in terms of rides and preparedness of the park.
  8. Little Amerricka is closer to you than either of those. Go check it out if you haven't! 700 E. Main St., Marshall, WI 53559 https://www.google.com/maps/preview?q=little+amerricka&ie=UTF-8&ei=TUJBU6D-BOfjsATQxIDgDA&ved=0CAoQ_AUoAw http://www.littleamerricka.com/ Ok, thanks! I'll try it.
  9. Let SFA attempt to be an amusement park... They just end up a scrapyard of old SFGAm coasters and colored metal. RIP SFA 2017...
  10. When will a Banshee POV come out? I'm absolutely dying for one!!!
  11. I'm hoping to get to Kings Island in June, not sure if it will happen though... So keep your fingers crossed! On a side note, when will the first Banshee pov come out? I need to know!!!
  12. Thumbs up to you! Put them in their place for believing such an idiotic thing!!!
  13. Hey everyone! I just recently read on Screamscape about the proposed idea of Jazzland to move into SFNO place. Will it follow through? I doubt it would due to the fact that it was swallowed by a hurricane so practically everything is ruined. I would be cool to do that though. I mean KK will likely turn out pretty awesome, right?
  14. Sour much? Ten years of tradition shouldn't be wiped out by one bad experience. If you really loved the park, you'd be able to see past a less than 10% failure rate... ESPECIALLY on opening day. I think we all gotta admit, it's not one of the better parks in the chain... I'm pretty sure JR was very busy, and maybe they just weren't ready for opening day. Like it was said, one bad expiry emcee shouldn't ruin you tradition.
  15. I believe it was said on screamscape that OPA would be removed over the summer. If I'm correct, what do you think would replace it???
  16. Lex Luther Drop of Doom Right, as well as Kilomanjaro Drop of Doom.
  17. I'd guess not... But maybe it will have a water landing during its course.
  18. I live in the Greater Milwaukee area of Wisconsin. SFGAm (45 minutes) Mount Olympus (2 hours) Not quite sure what the third park would be. Any help?
  19. I can imagine this will be a major breakthrough for SFGAm as they should recieve much more attention from the general public when it opens in late May... (Sigh) This could very well become the biggest park in the chain ( If its not already) because let's face it, MM and GAdv only have a large roller coaster collection and nothing else in the park, or 2 big coasters and nothing else worth mentioning in the park.
  20. It's posted on RCDB that it's a wooden sit down (So no dark ride with boobies. Sorry Rob.) I would imagine it's something like a launched woodie with an indoor launched section at the beginning that includes a mini-show with fire and maybe 2-4 inversions. Then again, this is a family park. I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up that it's a extended kiddie coaster through a part of the forest. But that's just me...
  21. I believe that this will be an RMC Woodie- Launched Coaster as there has been talk about there being ones in the making. -First Post!!!-
