  1. When I went yesterday I went straight to Ka. When I got there it was already a 30 minute wait. When Zumanjaro opened later that day, I saw that the line fit Ka was outside the entrance! Hopefully the state grants the permit soon for them to run simultaneously
  2. This may be off the current topic but the announcement of the 2015 attractions is less than a month away and there has been nothing done to prepare for a ride. But I went to the park yesterday and saw that the sign for movietown was missing. Could there be a possible retheming or a refurbishment on the way?
  3. ^Ka has a great launch. In theory, YOLOcoaster should have an acceleration of 35 mph per second to reach 70 in two seconds. Using the same theory, Ka goes 128 mph in 3.5 seconds. This means that Ka would be about 36.57 mph per second. I've never been on YOLOcoaster but Ka has probably the most, if not one of the most, intense launches on an accelerator coaster. It's the best launch I've been on (better than Storm Runner and TTD) but you would need to experience it yourself. It's different for everyone. But my guess would be that you'd find it pretty intense. Nonetheless it is really an amazing experience your first time on. Just sit near the front as you'll get less headbanging
  4. TTD collapsing and it can't be rebuilt. What's worse than a TOGO giga coaster?
  5. ^Keep in mind that the safari closes earlier than the rest of the rides. Also try Zumanjaro. It doesn't feel as high as it really is. As for the crowds they should be fine. Have fun when you go!
  6. The saddle isn't my issue with standups. It is the large OTSRs and the headbanging they lead to. Exactly. Basically I just go on the end and stand on the side of the car. Those restraints hurt badly. I had a bad headache after a ride. Hopefully the headbanging will be fixed
  7. I hope it gets seated trains. It won't be floorless because of Bizarro. Standing on that ride just hurts. It isn't even enjoyable. I actually wish that GASM was still there lol SF cant get train C on Nitro to run smoothly, and you think they are going to spend money and put seated trains on Green Lantern. No way SF does that. First off all I know they won't. But a guy can dream cant he? Lol. Second, Nitro is still one of the most popular rides in the park. GL is basically dead. It seemingly always has a 15 minute wait at the most. It'll be more expensive to remove the entire ride than replace the trains anyway. The layout is great on GL but the stand up trains just dont work well with the GP anymore

  9. 1. I'd go to Ka/Zum first as they'll have the longest wait. When I was there on Monday both were 2 hours and that isn't really worth the wait. 2. Most likely they will be open unless there are some technical difficulties. The second completely open at about 10:30 I believe but Main Street opens a bit earlier. 3. There is no path between Ka and Toro. It was closed off a few years back. The arcade shortcut is where the carousel is. It goes from near the tea cups to where Bugs Bunny National Park is. That's so you don't have to go through the Boardwalk to get to the other side of the park. 4. Like I said, go to Ka/Zum first. Then go to Toro and Bizarro. RMT isn't a bad ride either. But if the wait is over 20 minutes it's not worth your time. SORA will have a huge wait and it takes so long and it's a big time killer. Try the Log Flume if it's hot. Superman is pretty fun but do not go to GL. It has got a lot of headbanging when I went. Definitely go to Nitro. Batman is fun too. Don't go to TDK. It's just a wild mouse. After that, do some rerides. 5. Friday's are usually crowded so get in all the rides you want early. Definitely do Toro, Nitro, Ka, and Zum first as they will be the most crowded. Hope this helps! Have fun tomorrow!
  10. Hotel = people staying longer = more money for the park = more flats and/or coasters = better park
  11. ^^ My cousin works at the park and he said there is a lot of talk about a hotel. We could expect it happening within the next ten years
  12. I'm going to the park later on at around 3 or so. Anyone know how long Zumanjaro's wait is by then?
  13. My guess is a flat ride or two in RT's footprint. Hopefully a new coaster soon in movietown
  14. Can anyone else see how it is almost impossible for the riders to get hit by debris? The riders on Zumanjaro are at the top by the time Ka clears the launch track. Unless someone intentionally has the strength to hurl an object at an almost right angle (after the twist someone would have to throw something to the side, which means in the rider's piv, they'll have to throw towards the bottom of the train) then the riders of both rides are perfectly fine. It is all about timing. If the correct timing is in order, no one will get hurt. As for the 2005 incident, that hasn't happened in 9 years. I'm positive nothing like it will happen for a long time
  15. ^^ What about Bizarro's cobra roll? El Toro's camel hills? Even on GL or Superman you have chances to throw stuff at people. Not making them run at the same time because of flying objects shouldn't be that much of a problem if it isn't in those other areas **edit Shouldn't Zumanjaro be up at the top of the tower anyway? If Ka is going at 128mph and it takes roughly three seconds to go up the tower, Zumanjaro should be at the top waiting if not close to it. It would be virtually impossible for someone to get hit from that angle
  16. I'm surprised. When it's raining too. I guess I'll have to go later then
  17. Why are you making it sound like the ride will be gone when you get back. Is being one of the first riders really that important? Lots of whining all around in this thread. Whether or not its the states fault for the delay is irrelevant. It is what it is. It'll open when its ready to open. I'm not. I'd rather wait an hour if that for it rather than more than three. I'm sure you'd feel the same way. It's not about the first rides. I don't have the money for a flash pass and I would rather wait in as little of a wait as possible. No whining. I'm just upset. That's all
  18. ^ I always loved watching the Chiller run. When I finally built up the courage to go on it had closed already. I wasn't very happy after that
  19. Something is up. 3 times he is supposed to come but didn't show up. CONSPIRACY??
  20. ^ Exactly. I'm really upset. I'll be in Virginia when it opens. I'm coming back the 12th. I was really looking forward to riding it. Why doesn't the state just approve it already? Everything is ready so it's all on the state now.
