  1. Anyone at the park today or tomorrow??

Also just wanted to add that I rode my last ever ride on MS. Did this ride get worse this year?

Last year I remember it being "boring" and "uneventful" but not deathly bumpy. I am not kidding when I say that was the worst ride I have ever had from MS. Out of all of my ridden coasters that is officially the worst I have ridden, and I have been on some bad ones. Obviously I am repeating something said a thousand times.

Which row did you ride in?

Front row. I have always had luck with that row. Never was great but not as horrible as that ride was. What row is now the sweet spot?

  3. I don't know. There is still to much mystery behind 2017. I am betting on the fact that they are going to go against the grain and save major announcements for halloweekends or Winterfest. They have to announce what they are going to do with Hurler and MS still.

Why are you convinced that they're going to announce what is happening with Mean Streak in the near future?

Why are you convinced they're not? Serious question!

Regarding KD and Hurler, I'm not sure what to expect in terms of announcement, or even what is going to happen to the coaster, but I'll be SHOCKED if we don't know more about what is happening with Mean Streak, by the time Cedar Point closes for the season at the end of October. Maybe I'll be shocked, but based on CP's past precedent, as well as the very visible and significant nature of Mean Streak, its closing, and the curiosity about what is replacing it, I wouldn't bet on it...

The Kübler-Ross Model, also known as the "five stages of grief" is as follows:

    1) Denial

    2) Anger

    3) Bargaining

    4) Depression

    5) Acceptance

We are currently in stage 3: Bargaining. At some point well after hitting 5, we'll start on a new hype cycle, perhaps even a very long and extended one like Kings Island's for Mystic Timbers. Then perhaps all with relation to Hurler will be revealed. Or perhaps not, because maybe they have no actual plans for it right now.

    Fine speak the truth. Lol.

Looking at how many S&S free spins may be added to SF line up next year, this could be putting a lot of strain on RMC. I am still waiting to know their other projects are. RMC on Instagram posted saying "it is getting busy in our Idaho shop! More projects to come!" Now this obviously means unannounced, I guess we wait to see what SF announces.

Ok, strange idea (VERY UNLIKELY) seeing that CP is going to have this funeral, what if they make a "story" around it some how and that is when KD, CW, and CP all announce the RMC? Just have to go on a creative idea here.

  5. Also we are not talking about the fact that RMC does not have 1 project announced for 2017. (Not that I know of) from last year they had 4 and this year none. I find that very strange.

Trying to stay away from double posts.

I am convinced they will lets us know what is happening with either Hurler or MS this year, more so Hurler then MS. Hurler was teased like no other by the park earlier this month. Then they have this tease (what I believe as a tease). With no RMC announced for North America yet, I feel these are major clues to Hurler.

Now for MS, I am on the fence. I would like them to talk about the giant structure. However I don't think it will happen until after the funeral. With CP taking so much time to make a funeral happen, then this would be a great time to announce, durning the funeral.

CW we still don't know what is being added. They are most likely the only other park that could see a coaster (sorry MiA). If they don't announce a coaster (when they announce) then one of two thing. 1) CF will have a major 2018 year or 2) CF still has announcements for 2017. SF has not announced their plans yet, so it is not to late yet.

  6. there's Really More Coming.

This needs to be talked about. It was the last image after the announcement. This is the tag line they used. With only 1 coaster for cedar fair in 2017, it does not make sense. They have been doing amazing in quarter results and economy is doing great. I feel we will hear another announcement soon. Cedar Fair is toying with all enthusiasts across the boards.

I could be so wrong. However, if this is all CF is going to add in 2017, then this will be the smallest year of additions when not in a recession since the 1990s. Just my thoughts.

  7. Leap the Dips at Lakemont Park

I didn't really know if the oldest operating coaster would be that noteworthy other than it being the oldest, but I will tell you that thing runs so weird and awesome! It is so sensitive to weather and the small drops feel big just because the car basically falls out from under you and is all over the place. It was tons of fun!

I full agree. This ride surprised me so much! I was not expecting much, but it truly is a hidden gem.

My oldest is obvious 'Leap the Dips' as well!

  8. It is very obvious that the waterpark is the big draw. The amusement side is sadly not bring any interest, even on "insanely crowed days", half the coasters are walk on.

Also I don't get those magnetic gates. This is the only park that I was so confused as what to do. Those need to go.

I feel for Dorney because in my thinking is it did not jump to the expansion idea quick enough and Hershey, Knoebels, and SFGA all beat Dorney to the punch. Now Dorney is this smaller middle man. I don't know, just spit balling.

  9. Looking at that area, that would make the most sense for the expansion. CCF is all by itself and if they could expand and make that path lead somewhere would be nice.

Flyers like that deserve to be isolated.

Other than that though, I would love it if they made a loop back there that connects where DA is now.

Ok this I fully agree with! Those were the worst flyers I have ever been on. Even worse then KI!

  10. At the park right now, still not busy. Everything is a walk on. But I had to say that they are running all 3 trains on Steel Force. I also have to agree with everyone this ride is ok in every row but at least on the front it has a few decent pops! Overall all enjoyed the ride.

Now question, I keep hear at the park from random people that Dinosaurs Alive is leave soon. I have always been told that these attractions where a 5 year lease, is that true? If it is leave (in the near future) that would free up so much space.

My friend at work said that we were/are one way inbound for over an hour. You can expect crowds to grow later in the afternoon. They always run 3 trains on steel force on Saturdays because "lines" can get long.

Dang. I guess we shall see. Still good.

He said we are still one way inbound. Has been since 10 am.

Damn Hostile! Lol. I bet around 3 it will start getting lines in the back f the park. Now if you are going to the waterpark it is crowded.

The dinosaurs went up in 2012, so this would be their last year. Good thing too, since they have to make room for Flight of Fear next year.

I was starting to worry that if Dinos were staying that they would not have a spot for flight of fear. Hehe.
