Beverly returns to Epcot!
SLUSHIE replied to Erik Johnson's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I havent been there of course, but by the pics I think I like the old version better. It looks like the same thing without the frozen entryway thing. The shrinkwraping labels on you coke bottle looks cool though. -
Yeah I havent been by the store yet. I was assuming they would open around 10, I should go check.

^Thats because the games that are on it now arnt really made specificly for the Xbox 360. By that I mean they made the games without knowing what it would really be capable of, so they don't take full advantage of the system. Games that come out for it this time next year will look amazing.

I learned that um... Best Buy gets stuff late and so does EB Games at the mall.

So last night I discovered that Socom supports infrastructure multiplayer, and supports a headset. I thought this was incredibly cool, and something I've been waiting for to hit the PSP. So this morning when I woke up (afternoon actualy. I woke up at about 12:30) I set out to purchase Socom and the headset. First stop EB games at the mall. They were pretty busy. This one guy playing demos on the Xbox 360 must have been on something and he was fairly entertaining to watch. I saw that they had Socom in stock but saw no headset. I asked some guy if they had it, and he went in the back to look. He came back and handed me headphones, not what I wanted. I then headed to Best Buy across the street. I knew that they most likely would not have it, but decided to check anyway because I was right there. They didn't have the game or the headset. I then decided to go to the EB Games an exit down the freeway. When I got there it was empty except for two employees. I asked if they had the headset and they told me that they had just unpacked the box they came in. I baught Socom and the headset and headed home. the game is fun, but the controls are odd at first. The headest works great, but looks odd compared the the styling of the psp. Here is the secret to the headset, it has 3 connections instead of 2. The headset plugs right into the remote control for the headphones. why they didnt make the headset white I do not know. The headset and Socom packaging.

take the output from pinnacle and encode it with xvid or some other compressing program. It should save you some space.

I think that CoD2 is a great game, but there are a few things that I didn't like about it. The game only supports Direct X 7 and 9. Why does it not support Direct X 8? My GeForce FX 5700 supports Direct X 9, but runs very slow. I thought it was dumb to loose so much quality because I had to drop to Direct X 7. Also when running in Direct X 7 there was a lot of bugs. Many of the decals in the game (marks left from grenades and stains on buildings) would be blue or pink. I found it dissapointing that there was no physics in the game. I think its weird that such a new game would not have some kind of physics. Because of having no physics, everything was animated. Since everything was animated it had a cartoony feel that sort of clashes with the look of the game. The game lets you play as a Russian, British, and American soldier and I found that to not go well with the story. There is no link between the different campaigns, and I felt that it really made no sence and did not flow together at all. I know there is pretty much no story, and the game it pretty much clear out the bunker and such, but it still felt odd.

I got a question. Why was it decided to call the game Call of Duty 2: Big Red one, insdead of Call of Duty: Big Red One. I think it was a weird decision since that it is (or at least i think it is) runing on the CoD engine and not the updated Cod2 engine. I also think its wierd because it will confuse people about the CoD2 PC and Xbox 360 verson.
