Is it just me, or could we possibly be looking at Universal's third gate? Maybe that Nintendo Theme Park since they bought rights? Guess we'll see. I am certianly not the target market for Nintendo, don't get me wrong I've played plenty of their games and know most of the franchises, but is there enough demand in America for a stand alone Nintendo Park? I think it will work great as a section of an existing park but not sure how well it would go over as a stand alone property. In Japan it's different story, but in America not sure how that would work. (agian I may be way off here). I agree--I think that Nintendo will work well as part of an existing park, and a major Nintendo-themed major attraction would do well. Not sure it would "sell" as a standalone park in the U.S. Then again, I wouldn't be such a park's primary audience. When does the Marvel license for IoA expire? There's not much of a chance of it being renewed, is there? They could turn that into a Nintendo themed area, though I don't know what you would do with Hulk.

Favorite Inversion

I absolutely love both of the rolls on Banshee; the dive into the valley and the slllloooowwww twist right before the final helix. -
It's a few days old, but RCI rolled out the list of changes coming to both Oasis and Allure of the Seas, including Dynamic Dining, new musicals, and suite additions. http://www.royalcaribbeanpresscenter.com/press-release/1115/royal-caribbean-raises-the-bar-on-award-winning-oasis-class-ships-with-royal-advantage-enhancements/ Notable for me; the wife and I sailed Allure last June for the first time, and we're headed to Europe to visit Rome and sail again next June...so I guess we'll be some of the first to see it post-drydock. Pretty excited about the Dynamic Dining changes.

Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread
thatguyclint replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Hey everyone; me and three friends are headed to KI at the end of the month (26th-27th) for a fall trip to the park. What kind of crowd can we expect on Friday night, and I'm guessing that FL would probably be a good investment for Saturday? -
This is the best advice ever; took it when we were at the park last Sunday, and Ninja went from "Worst Coaster Ever" to "...Only in these seats." Still felt a little thrown around, but it was like night and day! Tried the same seats for Cyclone, as advised here, and well, I really love the Topper Track on that first drop, but it didn't make the rest of the ride much better.

Where Are You Planning To Go In 2014?
thatguyclint replied to azza29's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This is shaping up to be my best year for coasters yet; SFoG - No new credits, but the timing of the trip is such that I should get plenty of rides on Goliath, Batman, and Mindbender. Haven't been on their (or any) SkyScreamer yet, so may get that ride out of the way. Dollywood - FCE, but my hope is to hit all the coasters in a day. This is during a band festival, though, so I may not get much else done. Kings Island - Banshee, get to ride the new Bat, and another trip planned (mid-May) to take advantage of smaller crowds. Last year we did this same trip, caught the park right after a thunderstorm and virtually everything was a walk-on! Multiple rides on Diamondback and Beast, never a bad thing. Holiday World - Not 100% confirmed yet, but if I get this trip, that's three new credits since I've never been. Cedar Point - Back for the first time in several years, this gets me Gatekeeper, rides on all my faves (Millennium, TTD, Maverick, Magnum, Gemini...okay, so basically everything), and a built in day to actually check out Sandusky proper. All this, plus a cruise to Haiti/Jamaica/Mexico on Allure of the Seas. -
It seems like all of my mishaps take place at Six Flags Over Georgia. I know a few people like it, but from the first time I ever rode Ninja, it's been one of my two least favorite coasters. It's rough, and not in a fun way. So imagine my joy when my friend and I decide to ride it (more like he dragged me onto it...) and when it comes back to the station, it brakes just a liiiittle too far. The only logical solution is to send us through again! I don't know if I've ever heard a train actively groan and wish they had some other option before or since then. Not mine, but the same friend once got stuck on the post-lift turnaround on Mindbender with his sister. They were there for 30-45 minutes before they could get down. Despite both of these stories (and one instance of me being dehydrated), we're planning a trip to SFOG for April.

Three closest parks near you
thatguyclint replied to mike541x's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
1. Holiday World - 197 miles 2. Kentucky Kingdom (when it opens) - 202 miles 3. Dollywood - 242 miles 4 (3 until KK opens). SFoG - 253 miles -
Before the announcements came and people thought KK was getting a frisbee instead of the drop tower we're actually getting, someone said they hoped it was a HUSS Giant. ...I absolutely love maXAir/Delirium, and if KK were to replace T2 with one of those they'd have my money in a heartbeat. They already kinda do; I certainly wouldn't mind a quick trip to KK from here in Nashville, or on the way to GrAm or KI!

I missed non-Rebel Yell woodie credits at KD when I was there in June. Hit all the steels (just before i305 went down), but after RY I had a massive headache that was only gonna get worse if I rode Grizzly or Hurler. Other than that...my first trip to CP didn't result in riding Wildcat and it's gone now; my only permanent missed credit that I'm aware of.
