  1. Here's some news about this mysterious car. We believe Sommerland Syd is definitely out of business and they won't re-open, so forget it. This car is made by Reverchon, a french coaster company. (the one that built that wild-mouse). That's a good news for them because they were out of the market since a few years. It's a nice come-back I believe!
  2. What do you mean? Safety standards are the same in Europe or America.
  3. News : It doesn't spin, only swing! Make that thing less scarier I guess.
  4. Apparently Sommerland Syd is not dead! And hold on, here's a big news! Since September 29, "Le Ragondingue", a classic Reverchon spinning wild-mouse at Bagatelle, is used for testing a car prototype for a new coaster. Nothing exciting? Look closely, it's a swinging car! Source : Baggyworld's Twitter
  5. ^ I showed this video to my father some days ago. The outcome is we were here yesterday! That's an awesomely pretty park, well-themed, a lot of kiddie rides but also some good family ones. If you're newt to it, don't miss it. And there's Anubis ; I shot a POV:
  6. The view from the ZipLine Dragon's Breath (Haiti) is incredible. What? It's not a coaster? Hmm, yup. But there's an Alpine coaster just underneath where you can get almost the same view. ( )
  7. Oh nice, didn't thought of that one. According to Wiki, it opened in 1975 and used LSM. So that technology is older than I thought (I mean, its use into amusement parks).. Thanks for the reply! And do you know what's the first coaster using magnets? (Sorry for improper placement of the topic by the way.) Edit : Here's a pic of BTM I took earlier today:
  8. Hello there! If I ask you what is the first ride with a magnetic launch, you answer me it's Flight Of Fear in 1996.. We're ok here. But if you look closely at Big Thunder Mountain in Paris, there's no tires in the station nor elsewhere, but magnets instead (LSM, LIM??). This ride opened in 1992. 4 years before Flight Of Fear! See on the left. It's the garage track, and around the friction brake, there's two blocks of magnets. It seems that the other BTM®'s run with magnets too (not sure for all). They opened respectively in 1979, 1980 and 1987. So the question is, wich was the first ride ever to use magnets as a booster? Thanks!
  9. Otherwise Cyclone @ Dreamworld got its inversions at the end of the layout:
  10. Your mother didn't tell you to say "I don't like it" instead of "this is cr*p"? Anyways, I don't want to change their opinion, so I think we can move on.
  11. So they should have say : "We didn't feel any weightless moments" instead of "this is dull there's no forces, neither positive nor negative." That's not their opinion which bother me, that's the way they express it.
  12. There's negatives forces on the first drop, near zero-g at the top of the Dive loop, of the loop and of the immelman ; a pop a air between these two last inversions ; zero-g in the cork-thingy after the plunge under water ; airtime before the last inversion ; a perfect zero-g in the, well, zero-g roll ; and a last tiny pop of airtime after the helix. You can find Oziris too weak for your tastes, but don't say cr*p either.
  13. Saying Oziris has no forces is like saying a comedy-movie lacks of explosions... Also, while speaking of forces, why you only considerate positives g's? Aren't zero g's great?
  14. Yes, that's why I reposted the review, not the video link. I posted the Oziris POV before, I though it was ok. My bad.
  15. I posted a POV and a review right here, but it has been removed. I feel that TDZ is in a great shape this year, although the side wheels make some weird noise during laterals. There's a few nice floating times, but the best about it is its constant speed from the start to the end. Not a mind-blowing coaster, but something very fun to ride with friends.
  16. I can't really tell as I only rode Dragon Challenge, but some of us who said Oziris is good also rode all B&M Inverts (even Phaeton). I don't say Robb is wrong, I just don't understand. I also felt some vibrations in the back row, but most B&Ms have it (Manta, Hulk..). Although it's not bumpy. That's B&M! How can it be bumpy?
  17. Those who compared Oziris to Montu haven't rode Oziris...
  18. Really unexpected because it looks good, rides good, is good..?? Oziris is not as forceful as Katun/Montu/Afterburn (a good point for me, though), but I don't understand where he found the bumpy part.
  19. Here you see the two lifts: Nobody knows how it will be operated..? That's weird, and yes, the layout is... explicit.
  20. Looks cute? Yeah, sure..! Anyway, it gets two lifts, as it's the same layout as the other Gersltauer shuttle, but here it's not a shuttle..??
  21. Nope, on NTG, the trains are Gersltauer, but here, RMC developed their own. The design can be similar, though.
  22. Why haven't we see any testing videos yet? The park isn't open, or..? Just wondering.
  23. Nice TR, but please..: Hope you're kidding, or else, why do you say that?
